Good Grief! That was a bad accident. Hope your cuttings can survive once you warm up the inside. Don't give up. See what survives. Amaryllis might make it. As long as it is not mushy it will.

Crassula jades can handle a little freezing as long as the soil is very dry.👍

@@dkstott29 Yes. They actually handled it just fine. Very resilient.

@@dkstott29 It happened a few times. Finally I zip tied the cord to the plug. I'll have to do better next season. Always learning! 😅

-8C. Get a hot cup of tea to take the chill out of the bones.

Brrrr! Now that is cold. Do you know the windchill factor? Hopefully the trees survive.

I don't remember, I think it was about -7C colder one day. -13C colder the really windy day. With everything I sealed up so far on that trailer. The heater can hold -6C/21F when it is 25C/-13F or lower. There is still more to do to improve that.

Too bad the wood stove could not be on. Would coal keep it lit longer?

@@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 You can not use coal in a wood stove. And yes I could use it, I did use it. It's unpredictable heat as I don't have and good birch to burn.

@@FrostBiteBonsai What about an oak? Hardwood and might last the night. Just a thought.

@@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 If it was available here. Birch is the best for burning in my area. Just, a face cord is $200 now. I didn't have time to go out to cut and cure any this year. I've just been collecting fallen trees. I still have all the poplar that was cut off the front of our property. That smolders nice, but sometimes it over heats. Makes a ton of ash. What I ultimately want to do is go off grid there. Solar panels and wind turbine. Then even if the power goes out. It will still be heated. I'll have lights too.
