Just dropping the parts will make your trigger better already - Your reset and trigger reach will be shorter, and if you use a lighter main spring and trigger return spring, your trigger pull will be lighter. The polishing is to make it smooth, particularly in double action, and the sear fitting to the hammer is to get a crispier break in Single Action (but you might not need this at all - often times just dropping in the new hammer and sear already give you that). The caveat here is that the disconnector is not always a drop in part - If you use a T5 (from CGW) disconnector you will increase your chances to just drop in and not need any fitting - But you might end up with more SA Pre-travel than you want. If you use a T6 disconnector, you will likely need to fit it, but then your SA's pre-travel is minimum.
