    Result is on Dyche. Players were absolutely knackered - in the crowd we could all see it. Very worrying that he couldn't. Iraola made 5 subs and they won the game with fresh legs.

  • @Dooguk
    @Dooguk 12 днів тому +15

    Bollocks, the "edginess" started when Bournmouth made 5 subs and with the whole ground watching the Everton midfield, with no energy left, struggling. What does Dyche do? He takes off two attackers and replaces them with two attackers who are worse players. You know the rest, the midfield crumbled.

  • @simoncoolhand

    Lindstrom on loan....Dyche doesn't trust him.
    O'Brien brought in......Dyche Doesn't trust him.
    Mangala to come in....will Dyche trust him.
    Why'd he take off N'Diaye?
    I'm sick of hearing him talk about Premiership experience.
    We need Brainthwaite Back desperately!
    Dyche's teams are pathetic in August! Look at his record.
    We've been the better team for most of our first two home games.

    Everton have debts of 200M to RMF, 200M to 777, 200M to Friedkin, plus 450M in shareholder soft loan from BlueSkyMoshiri. That's almost 1.1 billion quid in capital invested. Even if Moshiri writes off all of his investment, no way is the club worth the 600M in debt that would have to be paid back on a change of control AND that's before the working capital needed to continue the business as a going concern for the rest of the season. Unless the debt holders all agree to take a haircut on their capital which is unlikely given the debt is likely secured over the new stadium and/or Goodison, then there is close to NO chance that anyone will be willing to put up a bid for such a distressed, debt-burdened asset that cannot operate as a going concern without a new owners commitment to cover operating losses, which are limited by PSR. Looking very ugly for Everton regardless of how they do in the league this season.

    On the next podcast about Everton, please explain how a new stadium with over a half a billion in loans against it is going to transform Evertons financials? Point out how much additional revenue the stadium will produce matchdays v Goodison. Then deduct how much additional costs to run Bramley Moore v Goodison per match. Then how much will be used to pay down the interest and loans against the stadium. I'm not seeing where Everton will be getting massive amounts of money in their coffers to spend on the playing staff.

  • @peterelphick7045

    As a neutral looking from the outside in, Everton employed Mr Dyche to get the club away from the relegation battle experienced in recent years. He (Sean) had a good record for managing the same feat at Burnley.
    Bouremouth had a manager prior to Iraola taking charge who was doing the job but was never going to take them far from the relegation zone.
    The fans who support Everton should be given a questionnaire as to their thoughts on manager(s) at the seaons end so the owners dont loose touch with the paying fan base . It may be a shame that so much club revenue is gleaned from sponsorship which has inadvertently diluted the opinions of fans.

    • @StanKPhlaps
      @StanKPhlaps 11 днів тому

      @@peterelphick7045 he's not working in easy circumstances though. He also did a lot more than fight relegation with Burnley. He established them in the premier league after bringing them up twice and even took them into Europe. Last year, without the points deduction, Everton would have finished 12th, which isn't bad considering their squad and transfer options.
      If owners gave fans the ability to choose a new manager at the end of every season, there would be changes at every club that finished 5th or lower. Plus, Everton can't afford to sack anybody.

    the stats are correct you don’t change a team that’s winning by 2 goals , Dyche is wrong because he’s mis interpreting the stats he’s relying on. The majority of teams 2-0 up don’t lose because this number includes the top team’s performances, but this is where other stats can show you live in a game if a player is slower over a set distance and calculate if he needs to be changed based on his own teams data on expended energy for that player.

    There was one area where the entire panel completely lost touch with reality here...
    They spoke about circling the drain in ever decreasing circles and if how one can only do this for so long before succumbing to relegation. They spoke about relegation battle after relegation battle.
    Nope!
    Let's have it right, Everton finished fairly comfortably outside of that last season even with the horrifically handled points deductions by the EPL. If one was to consider the record on the pitch alone, the games won and drawn etc, Everton less the points deduction would have been mid-table. So the narrative on this matter at this juncture of the show was just entirely false/wrong.
    Now Everton may end up in a relegation battle this season, sure, and there start has been awful, but there start last season was identically bad, yet they still less deductions were never anywhere near relegation. So I think objectively, factually, the narrative painted on this matter was simply wrong/false/nonsense.
    Everton have huge issues and they do have to dig themselves out of a hole, but it has only been 3 games, and 2 out of those 3 games they might have been expected to lose.
    Let's not over egg the pudding for clicks guys! Drama really is better on television!
    Next time, let's have a bit more balance and a bit more responsibility re the discussion.

But they'll get away with it - again - because there will always be 3 or 4 teams worse than them (see newly promoted 3 and Forest). Circling the drain is right - I see parallels with where Villa went after Martin O'Neill left. If Everton were going to go down they should have done already when they were cheating PSR rules - now the gulf is so much between the Prem and the EFL - they will keep getting away with it.

    Sack Dyche. Sack Thelwell. And bring back David Moyes. Then get the club sold to someone who gives a shit.
    Moyes had a net spend of £17m in 11 years. All while finishing top 8 for 8 of those years and making a cup final.
    What happens on the pitch reflects what is happening off the pitch. Moyes managed to cover both almost singlehandedly for over a decade.
    The Bournemouth loss was entirely Dyche's fault and he threw his players under the bus (well worded from 9:07). Pathetic. He's a pound shop Big Sam. And he'll follow the same path throughout his career and will never manage a club bigger than Everton. Despite the fact he treats us like Burnley. Thank God he's out of contract at the end of the season...

      They were gonna bring back Moyes but they did a fan consultation that made them think it'd go down too badly. Everton fans are their own worst enemy. The treatment of Benitez was embarrassing, small club syndrome.

    I always disliked Everton ever since playing the early CM/FM games at the turn of the century they would always be OP (over powered) under Moyes and be though to beat but still rolling over the AI rivals.
    My dislike turned to disgust when I cam across the Jamaican Dancehall producer that calls himself Everton Blender (sounds like Bender). So whenever I would lose or struggle to break down Everton in the Manager games that Everton Blender screaming and shouting would echo over me like a pestering curse. Ever since then I have cursed them and waited for relegation its been a long 20 years but maybe the time will finally come where the club can be reduced to history books like Plymouth Argyle, Sheffield Wednesday and other clubs with bad sounding names.
