Hey Ben, I really like your videos. Thanks for reviewing Ponte Tresa. I'm the guy that "discovered" this gem a few years ago, so I'm glad there are fig growers across the country having some success with it. Ironically, here in Tallahassee, I've had problem after problem with PT, along with most other varieties, due to the humid weather and tons of pests. Glad that this fig is appreciated. I am certain that if you had tasted this fig from the original tree in Switzerland, you would have given it an 11 out of 10 rating. It was a religious experience. LOL
Great video. I’ve never had a persimmon but you’re making me curious. JFE claims to have the UCD version of Black Madeira now. I passed due to the reputation of poor growth due to FMV in the UCD version and got KK cuttings instead, but it has been almost 3 weeks and they haven’t rooted yet. Wish me luck 😮
4 years later, and I just watched your video, stopped in the middle of it and ordered 2 ponte tresa cuttings! That fig looked phenomenal!
My 3rd year Ponte Tresa has gotten better with age. Need more Ben and Ram videos for sure Thanks guys!

Thanks for the video. This may be sacrilegious but I prefer my persimmons (5 varieties) over my figs (11 varieties).
