And of course it's all true....not
35-year-old you mean
@@robertthomson1587 Diana described a very similar scene to this in an interview. (not the Bashar one) Was it exact? No but close. she realized Camilla was happy she was not into fishing and hunting since that gave Camilla an in to see him.
Camilla's being kind. She's bluntly letting Diana know that Charles knows her better and loves her better than he ever will Diana. Which was true. Camilla was warning her.
@@infjelphabasupporter8416 that’s a generous way of looking at it. A kinder thing to do would to be to leave them both alone.

The day before the wedding Diana wanted to run but her sisters told her what’s the point that Diana’s initials were already on all the wedding decorations.

I’m glad they got an “uglier” actress in the last season, they were far too generous here!! She looks exactly the same old bag since she was never young when he met her, that would be boring as a viewer so I get why they made her attractive even tho it’s not what she deserves lol
@@MsTinkerbelle87 You could argue the same case about Charles though? Both Seasons 3 & 4 (Josh O'Connor) and Seasons 5 & 6 (Dominic West) Charles were far too handsome to play the real Charles ?
The funny thing about this is that they cast someone gorgeous to play Camilla. 🤣
I know thats wrong casting, tho Emerald is a very good actress-
Emerald is gorgeous indeed.❤
And Diana looked better than the actress, which most of the time is the other way around... But how could one find a second Diana for playing that part? Nowhere!
Very funny 😂😂😂
She was and is a good looking woman. She has that appeal.
Camilla is so brutal here. The way she treats Diana is unforgivable. Also, the scene very accurately portrays what an eating disorder looks like publicly versus privately (something that's hard to do on film).
lol, this scene does not at all accurately reflect bulimia.
Newsflash: what happens here, and in 100% of the non-public scenes is fiction. There may be elements of truth but it was written by people who weren’t there advised on by people who weren’t present.
I know this scene is a work of fiction, however the very public affair was most definitely a known fact before it made it to the papers. Diana's restraint is remarkable. I have suffered a bad breakup due to cheating, and while I behaved myself and overcame all the usual cheating-related emotions, if I ever saw or heard the arrogance and innuendos like seen here--real or perceived--I struggle to think of what I would have done. If my ex's new dog ever had an interaction with me like this...as a person not ruled by my emotions...I think I would have SNAPPED. Someone under so much pressure as Princess Diana was, and so much public scrutiny of her and her sons...what a STRONG and admirable person.
ˇin real life they probably didnt have a meeting like this...but Diana says on her tapes that when she confronted Camilla about the affair then Camilla didnt have any shame...just said that "what else do you wnat? You are a princess , everybody loves you and you have two cute kids" ...unbelievable
in real life they didnt have a meeting like this but Camilla was still shameless when Diana confronted her about the affair, she said " what else do you want? You are a princess and everybody loves you, you have two amazing kids, what else do you wnat?" ...thats even more unbelievable in my opinion
That last line "I'm all for sharing" ..... lol

I swear, her great-grandmother would have scolded her then and there for putting the princess of wales on the spot.
Camilla was really asserting her dominance here with a significantly younger Diana. Basically letting her know that you may have been approved to marry my man, but I have his heart, you're nothing but a pawn.

This scene is when Emerald Fennell really took it home for me. I despise Camilla irl, but Emerald’s performance in this scene (and all others honestly) is so infuriating that it’s perfect. Imagine being invited out to eat lunch with your fiancés best friend and she only gloats about how much she knows him better…all while boasting from the realization that the woman he did end up choosing doesn’t know him at all.
Prince Charles did not choose Diana. He clearly had better taste than that.
Why do you despise Camilla? What do you really know about her? Why does she live rent free in your head?
Oh Camilla, she may have snatched Charles but she never gave an heir more so she cannot claim an inheritance in the marriage. A solid revenge from Diana. Diana won even in her death.
@@ZekeBurns-om3yt first she could have married Charles BEFORE she married Parker Bowles, but Camilla was in love with Parker Bowles. Charles was to make him jealous and get him back because he was with Charles's sister, Anne. It worked too as Parker Bowles left Anne and came back to her. Then they got married. However, Parker Bowles could not stay faithful, so their marriage wore thin fairly quickly and Camila got involved with Charles again.
@@peachygal4153... I believe it's like this.
1. Charles and Camilla knew they are soulmates. Also queen 👑
2. Since Camilla was from a different caste and not aristocratic royal, also her grandfather relation with the king left them with no choice, than rejecting her.
3. Queen wanted Charles to forget Camilla and vice versa. So they got Camilla married first to whoever was available, when Charles was away.
4. And Charles was told to marry someone good for the 👑 king and queen position.
5. Charles was honest with every woman he met and told her that he already is in love with his soul mate so many women reject his alliance. They were not interested to live as wife/friends with benefits only and no love.
6. Diana also knew that he was in love with someone else. But she was told that he might forget Camilla (also she was married and a mother of children)the time heals all wounds.
7. Diana was also told to control Charles because they also have children.
8. They were inseparable, they couldn't stay away, also their duty towards the kingdom. Since princess Ann was divorce, they were not able to make her a queen 👑.
9. Marriage don't last if there is no love, so that happened.
10. Diana lost her life. And her kids had to go through the flow.
They could have just amended some of their royal rules and made princess Ann the Queen 👑 long time ago.
Interesting how Diana felt the need to be tiny, but Camila just ate. She was bigger. It didnt bother Charles. Crazy how everything was under a microscope for Diana.
Camilla was just showing off and taking advantage of Diana because she was younger. A woman her age would have put her in her place.
But Charles was in love with Camilla, wanted Camilla but the Royal Family wouldn’t let him marry her.
@@victoriamorgan2261then he should have stood up for her bc in the end they ended up together anyways

So sad that it is clearly obvious that Camilla is both trying to intimidate Diana, and pump her for information in this scene, “bragging about her intimate knowledge about the prince concurrently learning about Diana’s likes and dislikes so she can maneuver accordingly. More experienced and older people would have “grey-rocked” Camilla immediately, but poor Diana was just a naive 19 year old girl with little world knowledge. Now the master manipulator is on the throne and the poor, naive girl is dead. This scene almost foreshadows it.RIP, Diana.

*doesn't eat lunch. He still doesn't lol.
One of the best scenes of The Crown. “Golly. He obviously tells you everything”. Perfectly delivered.
I loved this scene for so many reasons, we see the differences between them not just in how Camilla knows more but how she's presented as confident and mature compared to Diana. I'm pretty sure this scene is pure fiction but it sets up the issues in Diana's relationship with Charles even BEFORE their marriage. He would've been suited with an older woman (obvs we know its Camilla) but instead he chose a younger one, someone he thought he could mold to adapt to him. Great acting on everyone's part, but especially Emerald who gave Camilla a 'softer' side. The scene where she and Charles are telling the bear story stands out too.
Charles didn't choose anyone. Camilla was married off while he was abroad in his early 20s. Not able to have her, he became a bit of a playboy with frivolous dates and not committing to anyone for the rest of his 20s. By his 30s, it was decided he should settle down and mature, so it was orchestrated that he'd meet Diana, several times, because they thought she'd be a good match. The paparazzi got wind of it before the waters could be tested, so they followed through with the engagement etc. Of course Camilla had divorced by then, but he couldn't marry a divorcee, so Diana it was.
Charles never chose Diana, she was deliberately chosen _for_ him.
@@LilyGrace95 Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowles only divorced in 1995
@@rogerfielding1117 Mybad, so she was still married then. Either way, the relationship was off the table, so he married Diana.

Charles didn't choose anyone. Diana was chosen for him to create heirs to the throne. I thought that was obvious
In this scene, Camilla puts on an air of casual indifference on purpose, while she very calculatingly ensures that Princess Diana knows just how close of a relationship she has with HER husband. Extremely cruel and vindictive behavior. Typical "F.R.A". (female relational aggression) displayed and all with a smile on her face, to show that she is really her "friend". Diana was so young, naive and impressionable. She was like a deer in the headlights. It's painful to watch. I'm a 60 year old woman now and have gained much life experience. Yet, this reminds me of my 19 year old self and getting "eaten alive" by older women who had an agenda to destroy me emotionally. I wish this had never happened to Princess Diana. The marriage was doomed right from the very beginning. Her husband was in love with Camilla and remained so, during the entire marriage. No woman deserves this.
And innocent. Diana was pure & innocent 😢
@@high_maintenanceShe was 19, she may have been innocent, but that's no excuse for marrying an older man you know nothing about because you're so dazzled by the fact that he's a prince. Fact is, she was an adult and made a decision and then refused to face the consequences. I dont think anyone set out to hurt her specifically. Everyone was hurt.
God i just know you hate women and blame them for anything to get the male attention you desperately crave. Thank god youre old and withered up so thats no longer possible
I know that this is random but how do you prevent an older person from destroying you emotionally? (I’m in my early 20s)
@@nf9407 You be the exact opposite of me, that's how. I'm 60 years old now and it took me way too long to learn how to be assertive and stand up for myself. I allowed myself to be eaten by sharks most of my life and that's no joke. I was trying too hard to be "nice and agreeable". I wanted people to like me. I was too afraid of offending people by setting boundaries. It's the very thing that I regret most in my life. I can watch a simple video now, such as this one and be "triggered". If you are in your early twenties, don't be like I was. I am begging you. It's not worth it. You don't need people to like you. Especially other women. This video is a perfect example of just how nasty women can be to each other. Defend yourself immediately. Literally stand up and say "no". Don't take it lying down. Get ugly if you must and never give someone else the upper hand over you. Because women will alway try to establish dominance in the pecking order. The passive aggressive, snide, backhanded compliments and eye rolls, sneers and heavy sighs will indicate that you are in the presence of an enemy. Don't ignore the signs. Be ready to defend yourself. Good luck!

They casted Camilla way too pretty then she actually is
Emerald is so beautiful that she’s more like the lady of the manor in Saltburn rather than Camilla
Do you say that because Saltburn is her movie or did the association come independently? Makes me curious about whether Emerald Fennell infused her role as Camilla into Pike’s character
The casting sure was very generous with Camilla.
Poor darling Diana, the Lady was misled, misused and hurt. I loved her, I really felt sorry for her. Everyone played her for a fool.
Ooh the poor baby, she was always rich and chose to get married, to the cheat herself with multiple people and be a princess, all by choice and on her own accord, but the poor poor baby.
@@deadahead7996 Yes, it's all Diana's fault and Charles is the innocent who got caught with his hands around Camilla's tampon. He's the real victim while being married to someone who actually did love him but didn't know he didn't love her until it was too late. He called her crazy, and she ran to those she also loved to try to get help, then she had to play to her public strengths and run to the media. But, yes, Charles is the victim. He is the victim of an institution that dehumanizes people, inside and out. But, when you are on the out, then well, we all know what happens.
This show is fictional
@@pippilongstocking5000 So is the institution of monarchy in general. Shakespeare is fictional. Dramatic illiteracy really depresses me.
@outinsider oh boy, you lot only like the love stories when they're in books, Charles is a cheater and a dick, but he loved a women from the start and proved it by being married to her since, he was forced into that marriage and I very very much doubt Diana didn't know how distant he was from the start, but Diana showed signs of being a narcissist and jerk herself, she loved and manipulated media attention and people by playing an innocent persona, she cheated with a married man supposedly and didn't give a crap that she was doing the same thing to another women that was done to her? Worst of all is Charles was uncomfortable with the people's obsession with Diana, enough that he let it slip publicly, but was that because of him knowing her true personality? Which shows her narcissism, envy, shallowness, attention seeking, childish and fake? Why does the Queen not only condone her son but also allude to Diana's behaviour being unacceptable. Stop being ignorant and blind and consider the relationships happening behind closed doors, just because she was pretty infront of people doesn't mean she was pretty inside. Now I could be wrong, but I know that the innocence and victimhood given to Diana isn't warranted.
He proposed to Camilla first she said no THEN she chose to get married to someone else. She got divorced then she wasn’t eligible to marry Charles even though he still wanted to marry her.
It’s alway been Charles and Camilla. They couldn’t let go of each other even when it hurt so many other people.
Charles didn’t ask her to marry first and the queen didn’t allow it first.
Charles never proposed to Camilla. She wasn’t a virgin. Also Camilla was dating her husband and married him while Charles was out to sea for like 8 months for military service and Camilla married Andrew
No, he didn’t propose to Camilla because Charles family thought she was unsuitable (her lack of manners and being free with the boys), he was sent out with the military and by the time he got back she was married to Princess Anne’s old boyfriend
@@amyb1344That's revisionism from Charles's supporters. Camilla was always Andrew Parker Bowles's "main plate", she was obsessed with him and they had an open relationship followed by an open marriage - Anne was just one of the many women he bedded (although the most high-born notch on his bed). The original plan was for Charles to marry Dickie's granddaughter Amanda Knatchbull, but that's been left out of the show (along with Charles's other married mistresses like Lady Dale 'Kanga' Tryon and Janet Jenkins). Charles proposed to Amanda after Dickie's assassination but she turned him down.
Also, Camilla's father didn't want Charles to marry his daughter, she was already quite involved with APB, and wanted to marry him. And wasn't it an open joke that she teased him, and wasn't serious about him? Silly fool that he fell into that line, thinking she was the 'only' one, when she wad the only unsuitable one. 😕

After the Camila breakup and her marriage to Parker Bowles, Mountbatten arranged for Charles to marry his granddaughter who was Charles's second cousin. The 4th season was the most highly praised of the whole series, largely because of its emotional honesty for everyone portrayed. After this, the final two seasons dove head-first into one-sided, not-always-subtle rear-kissing, the 6th/final one even more so than the 5th. (3/7/2024)
season 2 was the best, season 1 was the second best, season 4 was the third best, perhaps the fourth
Claire was my favorite Elizabeth. But Season 4 was pretty good. I feel in Seasons 5 and 6 they a) tried to rush through a really long timeframe in a short period of time, which made it seem disjointed and lacking emotional depth. And b) they were really playing to the American audience who love the royal family fantasy story without having experienced or knowing much about a constitutional monarchy, given how popular Diana, Meghan and Harry were there.

That part where Camilla shuts her eyes in regret, for the briefest moment after Diana asks who “Fred” is, such good acting!!! Also, I just don’t feel Camilla is being as cruel in this scene as so many others. Insensitive? Definitely. Both women are obviously threatened by each other in this scene, but Camilla was a lot older and more mature emotionally, and I think she just assumed Diana would be as interested in Charles, if not more, than herself. End of the day, none of them were in an ideal situation and though I miss and loved Diana, I also have grown to admire Camilla.
Admire Camilla? How? What has she done so good? 😮
I think it's sad that so many people confuse truth with fiction. This is a tv drama. It's not a documentary.
He still had an affair with her so what’s the difference if they make it more melodramatic?
@@ascent8487the difference is that real people are portrayed here that are actually still alive. Would you like a partially made up and not factually true drama about YOU AND YOUR FAMILY to be airing around the globe?!?!
@@Swan.princess My past is so boring I would have nothing to embarrass me, so bring it on.
Not that anyone would watch though.
Yes I highly doubt it happened like this
Her impression of his voice is pretty funny, not gonna lie.
I thought so too! Spot on 😂
Diana used to refer to her as "the Rottweiler. " Enough said.
sad she had so many people throwing red flags at her and she didn't know
“Hey Siri. What’s the definition of passive-aggressive?”
I understand the actress playing camilla is beautiful. They could not find someone as ugly as camila.
Keith Richards wasn't available 🤣
So true 🤣
and yet she is queen. Diana was nothing but a dumb blonde
i really think charles and camila were perfect and still are , they are prime example of true love. It just hurts to see that he had to use Diana as a cover up & distraction so he could fool around freely. I feel for Diana , i too have been madly in love with somebody that was always in love with somebody else. It’s not easy to leave them.
Charles and Camilla are disgusting.
Someone read their synastry chart here on UA-cam. They really are true loves, it just played out poorly do to his title. It’s interesting actually when you’re removed from their situation and see how or why people do the things they do for love
I'm sorry, but all I want to do is devour that dessert. Seems delicious !
i remember the min before this scene, when they are ordering. And it all sound so decadent and delicious. but looking at it...eh..they couldn't make the chocolate look more like poop if they tried
@@Circa1628My thoughts exactly! The dessert does look like 💩. I wonder if the set designers did this on purpose?🫢By the way, what was that dessert supposed to be?
@@sallywhite7678 ua-cam.com/video/wKOFUek0X0M/v-deo.html thats all they are saying about it
@sallywhite7678 chocolate truffles with vanilla cream and orange slices, with a side of wine to drink. Pretty thick on the chocolate, if anything
@@dan_38 Great dessert for this particular scene! Much symbolism could be read into the ingredients. Also, the way Diana showed her frustration/anger by scraping her plate with her spoon. Emerald Fennell played a beautiful “queen in waiting”! Thank you!❤️🐈
Esa últimas 4 palabras de Camila…. Dios como la odie aquí, enorme escena, de mis favoritas de la 4ta temporada. ✨
Queen of side-pieces!
😩😩😩😩😩😩
quite the education for a young Diana!
Diana says that she's more of a townie here but in Scotland she says she's a country girl.
This is Diana - manipulative and lying. She was the original Megan M - on a journey to destroy the BRF after it did not work out for her
She grew up in the country, but she likes living in town
Remember kids, if you hate them, they did a top job at their performance 🍻
If his mother would've let him marry Camilla from the start she would probably still be alive. The Queen wanted someone with a better image and could give grand kids. She didn't think that the public would love Diana so much and she would be the 2nd favorite of the royals.
Diana never eclipsed the Queen. Diana was only popular among young and celebrity worshippers. Queen had respect and love from people of all ages. Diana only had the talent of making headlines and manipulating media bosses. A Jezebel may win hearts by the magic of seduction and manipulation, but she can never come closer to the dominance of Holy Mary, full of grace..
This is a hot tea in the face kind of moment.
"Im all for sharing" ....
Isn't it hilarious that Elizabeth couldn't help her sister at all but when it came to her own children she was able to change the rules so Mommy's little boy could get the Trashy mistress as a bride and the crown. She was able to change the very rule that made her uncle have to give up his crown.
Well by the 1990’s the Church of England finally eased up their stance on the remarriage of divorce persons so that took some of the internal pressure off the Queen (as the Supreme Governor of the CofE it would have seen scandalous to go against the teachings of a church that the Sovereign technically oversees).
Also it would have been accepted by the Court of St. James and Parliament thus assuring the then Prince of Wales place in the line of succession.
Finally as QEII alluded in the final episodes of The Crown, if the future King Charles III is going to succeed he will need a companion at his side.
After all the last time a King (Edward VIII) ascended to the throne without a wife his reign was a catastrophe.
There’s a huge time lapse between 1950 and 2000..
Long Live the Queen of Hearts
Woahhhh she looks so much like Diana ! Wow
I adore Emerald!!
My heart cries for Diana... Camilla knew Charles more😢😢
That is Saltburn’s director FYI
And "Promising Young Woman".
It was so inappropriate for them to even talk/ be in the same place let alone have lunch together.
Camilla got the ultimate ego stroke knowing the prince loved her more than the most beautiful and beloved woman in the world, I can’t stand her. She should have known her place and backed up.
Diana was a CHILD. She was only 19, Camilla was 34-35 here. If not older.
Manipulating a 19 year old girl. What a piece of work…. And now she’s wearing the late Queen’s favorite crowns, one of which was worn by Queen Victoria. It’s despicable and so inappropriate. I can’t stand it.
Diana was not the most beautiful and beloved woman in the world at this time before the wedding. She was a shy Sloane ranger teenaged daughter of an Earl that was just debuting in the press. She was called Shy Di at this point and was even a little pudgy--hence the bulimia.
After her huge wedding, she became the most beautiful and beloved celebrity in the world. She became Princess Diana or Princess Di after the wedding and went on some massive tours with Charles and the rest they say is history.
Emerald has so many facets
