The thing is this could've been a really big advantage for him as an incoming King and the royal family, this was the time when the UK was in the spotlight of the world, but sadly he saw diana as competition.
The amount of attention Charles needed to make him feel “whole” made him much more like a Black Hole. He reminded me of a guy who was very old fashioned. Yes, it’s cute at times but when you’re stuck in a different time entirely you kinda become cringe.
The actress who played Diana didn’t do the facial expression exactly right. The real one used a lot more mocking in her expression. This Diana was too nice about it! Plus the audience in real life really laughed when Charles said you don’t know what ladies get up to when your back is turned. Charles was juvenile. All his life HE was in the spotlight and after he married he couldn’t concede even SHARING the spotlight with a spouse. Diana could have been ANYone he married. In his eyes, he was never in the spotlight. On the contrary, he felt completely invisible. In the show, his father bullied him and treated him like an idiot from a very young age. His mother behaved like a sphynx. The only positive relationships he had were with his great-uncle and his sister. Diana here was moved by good intentions, but as a couple, she was the worst match he could possibly end up with, as she was a catalyst for everybody's attention (something that Charles longed for).

Instead of being jealous, Charles should have observed and *learned* from Diana. Learned how she interacted with people in a genuine way. Or took advantage of the contrast between the two of them and joked about how "stuffy" and "boring" Charles is compared to the "relatable" and "modern" Diana.
I want me an Australian man, Diana sure had her pick. Why on earth did she pick miserable Charles. And for a man who became king he sure has no strength inside him at all, what a wuss. It must be exhausting having to chase after your husband all the time, smoothing over his fragile ego.
Diana wanted a title and castles and balcony appearances and clothes and jewelry and vacations and notoriety and prestige and financial stability and handbags and respect and admiration and press coverage and should I go on? Diana wouldn't have looked twice at Charles if he was a butcher or a baker or a candle stick maker. Not everything can be blamed on Camilla and Charles infidelity or Diana's youth. Diana took all her married boyfriends back to Kensington Palace and I feel bad for their innocent wives and children. Those wives should have gone on Oprah instead of Harry and Me-gain. Horrible woman. 😮😮
2 things killed the marriage. He was in love with his mistress and Di was too popular.I knew the minute they got engaged it was wrong.Too bad they didnt listen to their doubts instead of letting others pressure them into marrying.Of course Charles would be envious of Di's popularity but he should have been grateful to her because she gave new life to the RF, she boosted their image. And it wasnt just Charles who was envious, the whole family didnt like the attention she got.Imagine having a difficult marriage with envious in-laws! It must have been hell for her.Of course she took had issues, dont we all.She knew marrying him wasnt right. If only she had listened to her inner voice.
Does it have the part where they switched out the cars so the car she was riding in wasn't reinforced or armored so it crumpled like a can. Or where they had her in car for 30 minutes and wouldn't let ambulance take her. Or part where they cut her open and took parts her out. Then let the ambulance take her. Probably not.
Let me debunk this point by point, - in Paris, they follow the strategy of stopping the ambulance to provide stabilisation to victims, they don't perform those actions while the ambulance is in motion. The reason it took over 45 minutes was because she kept getting worse, since she was bleeding internally, and every time she went into cardiac arrest or stopped breathing the ambulance also had to stop so the EMTs could stabilise her again. - Cars are designed to crumple on impact, because of physics. - Her driver didnt know he would be driving them again that night and had been drinking- he was THREE TIMES over the french limit, which is already a higher allowance than in the UK or the states. He was hammered and in no position to be driving at all. - She was operated on and because she broke her femur her femoral artery was severed, Being desperate to find the bleed and stop it they did have to open her up and remove bone fragments etc- its nothing unusual in trauma surgery, and if they hadnt THAT would have been very strange indeed. It isnt a grand conspiracy, she was in the wrong place with the wrong person and when the driver decided he would try to outpace the papparazi he went way too fucking fast in that tunnel. She may have been an icon, a beacon, a symbol, but she was still a woman of flesh and blood who couldnt overcome the trauma of that crash. to imply anything else is an insult to her memory. Enough horrid calculated things happened to her in life to get on with, without resorting to conspiracies surrounding her death.

The Duke of Edinburgh suffered more, his mother was admitted to a mental hospital, his father abandoned the family to go with his lover and took the money, his favorite sister died in a plane accident as did his nephews, everything happened to him. before turning 18.
Here’s what is sad about Charles’ idea of marriage. You support EACH OTHER through their triumphs and their goals. You don’t look down on them. And here is another thing, people were literally saying on screen that Charles is lucky to have such a warm, caring, humble, down to earth person in the royal household. And respect her enough to give her the support she needed just as she did with him. But Charles was imagining Diana would remain silent and help him boost the public’s opinion to see him as King. The difference is Will and Catherine are, and always have been a united front. Neither would upstage the other.
Diana didn't care if she upstaged Charles or not
@@xolg3292 not you writing this while Kate has been missing for +100 days and William couldn't care less...
Also, last couple of times we saw them together William cringed hard at Kate trying to touch him. But yeah, of course, "united front"...
Girl, what? Kate is missing. What are you talking about them example? William is having affair.
If I were her I would've just gone home and let him have his precious tour. 🙄🙄😒😒
yeah, but i think Diana also craved the public’s approval. The royal family were dismissive of her, Charles preferred his mistress, so Diana searched for love and attention somewhere else.
and those people genuinely loved her @@kanejtrash5019
That would have been hitting below the belt.lol.
The thing is this could've been a really big advantage for him as an incoming King and the royal family, this was the time when the UK was in the spotlight of the world, but sadly he saw diana as competition.
Imagine the power couple they could have been together. It would have changed the world.
What a joke he thought he was the only one representing the crown.. 😂
OMG, what a brat, Charles just acted like a spoiled baby.
The amount of attention Charles needed to make him feel “whole” made him much more like a Black Hole. He reminded me of a guy who was very old fashioned. Yes, it’s cute at times but when you’re stuck in a different time entirely you kinda become cringe.
Diana will always be our Princess...so cruel how the treated her.
I mean she's not helping his case
The actress who played Diana didn’t do the facial expression exactly right. The real one used a lot more mocking in her expression. This Diana was too nice about it! Plus the audience in real life really laughed when Charles said you don’t know what ladies get up to when your back is turned. I wish they had more accuracy in the Crown especially when they know somethings are definitely true.
The real Diana was kinda nasty. No wonder he went back to Camilla.
@@Ariana-wv4pfno she wasn't
Charles was juvenile. All his life HE was in the spotlight and after he married he couldn’t concede even SHARING the spotlight with a spouse. Diana could have been ANYone he married. He thought Diana was supposed to be invisible STILL while HE monopolized the spotlight. He’s selfish and juvenile to this DAY. His present spouse is little more than a glorified accessory. 😔 Camilla KNOWS how fragile Charles’ ego and self esteem are. 😔
It was the fact she was upstaging him. At the end of the day, he is the Heir to the throne, she is his consort. Either they're equals, or he's at the front. Simples
@@xolg3292
She couldn’t help that people found her more charming/interesting. So. People didn’t feel that way about him and that’s not her fault. Simples.
@@amatulfulani6390 Diana couldn’t help it if people were interested in her. They had seen Charles and the rest of the RF for years. Charles just couldn’t understand that Diana was a new and fresh face in the RF. Of COURSE people were interested in her.

I know… you must be referring to the commenter above me. She couldn’t help that people found her more charming/interesting. He wasn’t seen as charismatic.
she was too perfect to be his wife.
People married in the royal family have to live only for the royals. Despite the endless efforts they make every event or meeting or gathering shall always be about their royal spouses. When Charles knew eventually he will be the King he could have let his wife get her efforts acknowledged.
It doesn’t just happen in royal family. Lots of selfish men out there.
@@rltreasure Good point but remember there are lots of selfish women out there too and men get hurt too. Unfortunately we tend to only hear the female side. 😮
If Charles had been at all smart and self-confident, he would have known that Diana's popularity was beneficial to him. His obsession with Camilla is not over. He could make a good team with Diana. Maybe Diana wouldn't have died, either.
Diana always
Must be tough when you don’t have what it takes to qualify for the job you were, oh, born into.
Instead of being jealous, Charles should have observed and *learned* from Diana. Learned how she interacted with people in a genuine way. Or took advantage of the contrast between the two of them and joked about how "stuffy" and "boring" Charles is compared to the "relatable" and "modern" Diana.
"This was supposed to be MY tour." Don't bring her then, and see how many people show up.
Josh could never do any justice to the ugliness of Charles lmao
If I was him, I would be supportive of Diana
I want me an Australian man, Diana sure had her pick. Why on earth did she pick miserable Charles. And for a man who became king he sure has no strength inside him at all, what a wuss. It must be exhausting having to chase after your husband all the time, smoothing over his fragile ego.
she wanted to be a fairytale princess.
Poor manchild charles, his ego couldnt handle a pretty wife.
No wonder he wants a horse beside him...
Regular walk around palace or castle can work to practice humble approach"
I felt bad for Charles. I agree that the people treated him disrespectfully, but it wasn't Diana's fault. Why was he angry at her?
She's still bigger than they'll ever be.
I understand him
Not more than three camera man shoul be allowed for any program.
Not part of this scene, so off-topic
Oh give over
Let me debunk this point by point,
- in Paris, they follow the strategy of stopping the ambulance to provide stabilisation to victims, they don't perform those actions while the ambulance is in motion.
Quite apart from the conspiracy theories about Diana, thinking crumple zones are a conspiracy is a new one.
Shine ✨: Murderer!
He shouldn't loathe in self-pity. He was and still is very bad in the marketing department. Nobody likes the best student in the class. People love the good comrade.
Had I been in Diana's shoes, I'd have replied to him here : "It's not me who is too good, it's you who is not good enough."
Charles was jealous of Diana and now he’s jealous of Harry. Making the same mistakes with his son.

Princess Diana: Who? Me or them? 💀💀💀💀 :-)
It’s funny everyone more attention Diana of course she is legend she cares people’s heart.

Why did they change the cast
why is she wearing sticky notes under her diamond

FINALLY Charles is with HER ROYAL MAJESTY QUEEN CAMILLA. The glass slipper fits Camilla very well. The glass slipper didn't fit Diana.

Diana was no commoner; she is from the Spencer family, one of the great aristocratic houses of the UK.

Struggle: You’re Dead 💀 Meat 🍖
Everything she went thru seems like domestic abuse to me .. psychological abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, cheating, and gas lighting
Charles didn't get a lot of attention from his mommy boo hoo🙄 I wish Diana was actually of royal blood because she is a princess in her own right.

But if you aren’t looking directly at your people how ever are you going to lead or rule?
He acts just like a toddler, hmmm just like Harry. 😴
Okay, but she could NEVER be The Princess of Wales without a Prince.
She still was a Lady and had a minor title without him. Having a good heart and helping is more important and valuable than anything he or the Queen gave her as far as a title.
