    Am 71, don’t have any hyperpigmentation at all. Have stayed out of the sun most of my life. I use and have used for yrs the best skincare according to my budget. Before neck creams came out I used my moisturizer on my neck like my grandmother who died at 98 without a wrinkle. I use Strivectin , NIOD NEC and Dr. Denise neck cream by alternating. When I added the Strivection it really upped the game. I have different brands of skincare I alternate, some drugstore, some not. They have Vit C, retinol, peptides, antioxidants, brighteners, aha,BHA, glycolic acids, copper peptides. I begin with argiriline, HA and matrixyl. I rotate my serums and cleanse always. I’m consistent by doing this am and pm and alternating my skincare. This is what works for me. I don’t have any age spots on my hands either as I use my skincare and exfoliate them when I exfoliate my face.

      You are so fortunate to have been educated to limit sun exposure early and to have well established excellent skincare routines early in life. I agree with every ingredient you mentioned and I too know rotate them all. Do you have a favorited Strivectin product. I have tried a few but don't have a standout. Your grandmother sounds like a treasure! Happy Saturday!!💜

      @@watermelon4738 I don’t prescribe to one brand of skincare. I never have. I’ve learned to look at the ingredients. And Google them or look on the skincare’s website to find out what they are and what they do. If that doesn’t work I google it, lol! I DO alternate Vit C one day and a ceramide, peptides and copper peptides serums with a ceramide cream and peptide cream. I use eye cream and neck cream am and pm. At nite, I alternate 2 nites of retinol products and 1 nite of glycolic acid serum and cream. Once a month I use a glycolic mask 3 nites in a row, nothing else but eye cream and neck cream. Names of products are Sunday Riley retinol and Good Genes, Allies of Skin, Cerave, Dermatologist E, Strivectin neck, NIOD NEC, the Ordinary argiriline, matrixyl, lactic acid, aloe serum and their 7%glycolic acid toner. I also use another brand that is reasonable too, can’t remember name. The Sunday Riley, Allies of Skin, NIOD (sale every November) and Strivectin I got on sale. Especially the Allies of Skin. Every Xmas they have a buy one get two sale or I couldn’t afford it. So I buy 2 and get 4. It lasts me all yr till next Xmas. I couldn’t afford unless I get on sale. The Ordinary, Cerave and DermaE are cheap. Hope this helps. But before there were neck creams I always applied my moisturizer to my neck and top of my hands. I’ve never tanned or gotten in the sun much at all. So I don’t wear a sunscreen. But advise women who do to definitely use it. My 53 yr old daughter uses it as they have a pool. My 42 yr old niece is totally fair , she never gets in the sun.

    great video. I have to say that my co2 ablative laser periorbital was one of the best procedures I have done. hooded lids lifted and tightness under my eyes. That area is so hard to correct. I did go to a reputable place with 80 lasers and experienced doctors.

    • @beyond50skin
      @beyond50skin  7 місяців тому +7

      Thank you so much for sharing your ablative laser results. It’s so important to get a balanced opinion on this procedure.. I went to a 30 year veteran laser specialist at UCSF.. It was a lesson learned .. just because someone has experienced doesn’t mean you’ll get a complication - free outcome. Even the nurses were like WTF ! I’m so glad yours went well! Apparently my provider let a resident do the procedure. I’m sure it was in the fine print, but this is a great tip for anyone looking into laser procedures … make sure you do not allow your experienced provider to let a resident handle your resurfacing🤪

      Hi! I am no one important & my education has been via my own experience & research and of course, via lovely ppl like @beyond50skin ~ I had the NuFace for a couple of years and just couldn't get 'into it' .. for lack of better terms, it didn't 'excite' me ... I then purchased the ZiiP Halo and fell 'hard' for it .. I simply love it!! The app is fabulous!! The Plans are great and even when it's a 'no treatment' day, you can do your own thing .. I usually do the Jowls, Lips & Brows and then wrap up with the Electric Zone. I'm 56, didn't start my 'transformation/skincare' routines until I was over 50 thanks to COVID. I hope this helps even in the slightest way .. Have a wonderful safe day 🤗

      I love a touch of Botox too. I wish it lasted a bit longer for me. My metabolism tends to process it quickly.
      I had my ablative ErYag laser done at UCSF / Dr. Greken (2019) It was way too deep and left faint scaring along my cheeks and hypo-pigmentation on my upper lip... I do not recommend.
      Dr Idriss helped me via IPL, VBeam and fraxel laser treatments improve the look of a surgical scar, improve my skin tone & redness from previous ablative laser. She also did a full neck and chest rejuvenation over a 3 year period. Hope this helps :)

    Thank you so much for this. I’ve never had an in office treatment aside from Botox, and once a year, I get half a syringe a filler in my lips. I’ve always wanted to get some form of laser and in a perfect world I would be able to afford blepheroplasty, but I’m not willing to go through the pain and recovery,I don’t think. The Botox, seems to keep me able to look at my face at 61 and not feel too surprised! It’s hard to watch our faces changing for some of us, but at the same time, I still want to see that I have lived. You look fantastic! About red light, how many times a week and how many minutes each time would you recommend?

    • @beyond50skin
      @beyond50skin  7 місяців тому +2

      It's important to use these devices according to the directions. Too much LED light therapy can be counter productive (drying, exacerbate pigmentation, etc). Each mask/device is calibrated for benefits based power density (irradiance), energy density (fluence) measured and distance from the device. For example both the Omnilux and Current Body masks are 10 min treatments up to 5x a week and designed to work directly on the skin. The panels have more flexible settings; timing, different LEDs (RED, NIR, BLUE, MAGENTA etc) as do some of the newer masks. Some masks and panels have pulsed light (ie Prana [max 9 min] ) or lasers in combination with LEDs (ie JOVS mask) It's very important to read the instructions.
      Now that I am on my maintenance mode for Red Light treatments, I try to do a minimum of 3 Red Light therapy sessions a week (max 5 for my masks and/or panels at 6" X 10 min). Hope this helps a bit. As always, "it depends" LOL! Have an amazing weekend and feel free to follow up with any additional questions.💜

    • @beyond50skin
      @beyond50skin  4 місяці тому

      @@choney8125 Thank you for your kind comment. It’s been a journey.
      If you’re ok with semi- invasive procedures.. the best treatment that worked for all of these issues at one time was my ablative laser resurfacing.
      It wasn’t without side effects… prolonged healing hypopigmentation etc.
      many have said after watching my laser video they had the same procedure and theirs was an easy recovery with a great outcome…. everyone heals differently and every provider has good and not so great days. (do not let resident or tech do your procedure … that was my big mistake & I did my homework and I found someone who’s did laser resurfacing for 30 years, but that’s also very important. Find an experienced provider)
      I wouldn’t personally do a deep ablative laser again because it’s a really challenging recovery… and I tend to hypo pigment if they go to deep.
      The other thing you can do is a partially ablative laser (Fraxel) but typically Drs recommend multiple treatments… though the healing time is faster - you have to go through the healing routine multiple times…
      A lot of people say just get a facelift, but a facelift just moves the skin. It doesn’t resurface the skin. It doesn’t get rid of pigmentation …it doesn’t improve the texture ….so you can get a facelift and spend a lot of money but unless you get a resurfacing along with it, it’s just gonna be the same old skin just in a different place (less lines less deep wrinkles)
      That certainly doesn’t mean I’m against facial plastic surgery. It just means that even if you got a facelift, you still have to resurface the skin and deal with the pigment … that’s typically done with
      Laser therapy and various light therapies.
      Hope this helps … techniques are getting better every year and lasers are becoming more precise.💜

I currently use daily the Omnilux led mask religiously and I love it;.

    • @beyond50skin
      @beyond50skin  7 місяців тому

      Myolift has microcurrent mask / patches, as does the co.CURE. I've tried the FRANZ masks (disposable) and found them good for improving product absorption but not toning.
      You definitely have to go with a device you will use. If you don't use it, it wont work for sure LOL. My preference for the ZIIP is the customizablility, meaning you can target larger, yet specific areas. Masks either are small patches, covering small areas or full coverage which dont offer lifting and toning ( for what I have seen and experienced. Others may have a different opinion).
      Additionally, you get a boosted lymphatic drainage along with the microcurrent using a hand held like the ZIIP... physically moving excess fluid (puffiness) out of the face, while stimulating the muscles for a subtle toning effect.
      In the end it's personal preference. If you do try a microcurrent mask please report back to the group your thoughts.

      Yes, the deep pigment damage I accumulated required in office treatments & 100% dedication to SPF. Home devices are for post treat maintenance … LED specifically is for decreasing / limiting my predisposition to redness and inflammation.
      My hope is, overtime, LED (and other devices) will contribute to the production of collagen and elastin. This is a long-term game and, as I mentioned, it’s unlikely devices can outpace the loss of collagen and elastin. More likely and my hope is to slow the pace of depletion.

    I highly recommend tretinoin. I had a dermatologist tell me she would bathe in it if possible. I have been using it since I was 15. I am 58. Every doctor and aesthetician comments on the texture of my skin because of the tretinion. I use it on my face, neck & chest. I use hydroquinone a few times a year. I have stayed out of the sun most of my life. I have done many lasers for 20+ years with V-Beam being the longest. V-Beam (redness & scars), IPL (arm freckles), BBL (scar/surgery redness), Morpheus 8 and Ultherapy for neck and under chin tightness. Research shows BBL stimulates collagen. It is now considered preferable over IPL because it can treat redness, brown ares & also stimulate collagen. I get Botox for my platysmal bands and chin. I do not have crows feet. I used to get it in my forehead but no longer. Botox can cause eyelid droop in women my age. I have used 6 injectors recently and eyelid droop has happened with every single one of them. My skincare routine is a cream cleanser AM & PM. In the day I use a heavy cream like Josie Maran Argan Milk. At night I use an oil, tretinoin and estrogen skin cream. I don't use Vitamin C or any serums. Groupon in my area has heavily discounted prices on BBL, Botox, Ultherapy, HIFU and IPL. I have only seen V-Beam in doctor's offices. Love your videos! Hugs!
