I dig watchin ya now and then. The only thing is the bob dylan coment. I think hes a great singer , player song writer. Genious is a good adjective. Keep on apickinn and agrinnin

clapton is underrated as a singer - i just heard him sing presence of the lord with DD and was blown away. Derek and the dominos live at the fillmore - top 5 blues/rock album.
From The Cradle has incredible blues singing. So does the relatively new release of most of those songs played live .. Nothing But The Blues. Clapton' s blues singing caught up with his guitar playing in the late 80s. I love both Derek and the Domino's albums ..studio, and live. But as he got older his voice got even more bluesy then it was. Awesome. Peace.
I love the joy you bring to your playing. You are really enjoying it and that's how it is supposed to be. That's why it's called 'playing'! Keep having fun! Its contagious.
"whenever you feel down, you can grab up your guitar and get everything out of your chest" this is literally what i feel after discovering blues, just so glad i did
One of the BEST videos ive seen on youtube.. been playing this track for 10 years and you really captured what going on in this cool groovy tune, great vocals too
I love his exaggerated delivery, talking- akin to the popular Craig Ferguson host of the CBS, Late, Late Show! And I just learned I could actually sing this tune in the Key of E! New subscriber here. And many thanks!
This was amazing! Thank you for covering one of my favourite performances from one of my favourite artists. Hope to see a lesson about Rory Gallagher from you one day! Meanwhile, thanks for your dedication, I've learnt a lot here!
Pilgrim, I’ve enjoyed your videos for quite a while but this video was top tier! From production, to history, to song selection, this was amazing! Cheers :)
On vacation this week but I did check in this Friday to have breakfast with GP and Eric. Now I'm ready for the day. Yes, success is inevitable. Thanks for starting me up.
6:40 Man, I do enjoy your energy. It's contagious!! Thanks so much for sharing your skills and for making me try and be better at my playing this wonderful instrument. Blessings my friend! 🙌🏼👍🏼 PS Check this link out, Clapton's not using s pick. God, is he good!
I don't play guitar but I just bought a Taylor Air Guitar so this time I joined in. But I forgot to play the chord between the call and response, but I used a cheesy cream sauce on the noodles and had a good meal. Thanks, I can say that this was a video where I almost had too much fun.
While we're waiting for the new video, I'm reviewing your old ones. Some of them I watch 10 times, just to getting the crucial information and practice!
My friend this is our first meeting - and wow what a breakdown lesson!!👊🏼 Subscribed immediately and although this is going to take me a while to work up…I’m psyched to see a learnable path to get there👏🏼👏🏼👊🏼❤️ Merci’
You can not depressed after watching one of your video. Unfortunately I repay me again but you give tons of energy… only thing we can do is to grab the guitar. Cheers from France man, and thank you for what you do 👌
It is tough get your fingers to stretch to play that riff, but I will keep trying. I love that comment of yours if Bob Dylan can sing the Blues then anyone can sing the Blues.
If you could analyze Clapton in the Documentary "Nothing But The Blues", you explain very well, Clapton in '94 was like he was possessed by blues musicians, my favorite Clapton era with the Lace Sensor
That was really awesome Thom! Gotta love Clapton playing those lonesome Blues! Your rendition is right up there as well! Hope that you are doing well & staying safe. BTW, how is the little guy doing? Growing fast I bet! 😉😉👍👍
Dude, your style and personality take a serious lesson and add the confidence that someone can do what you are teaching. If you are ever in Los Angeles you have a place to hang and maybe we can play some and I can learn some. I love your presentation. Thank you
I really appreciate the passion you put in every thing you do! It is not just "how to play this and that"...every video is a travel in a artist you like and a story of attitude, of feelings...thanks! ..and Driftin' blues..what a choice, super! :D What about the acoustic version of Hendrix's "Hear my train coming "?
A similar song which I found easy to learn as a beginner is 'At The Drive-In' by Freddie Robinson, available here on the UA-cam. Hope it helps. "Lord have mercy..."
You know something....it's stuff like this that gives me the absolutely ONLY reason to wish I was 20 years old again. This is stuff I should have learned 50 years ago, but life gets in the way, and well...damn....thanks for this excellent video.
Once again Thom, well played! Its nice to surface from the depths of SARS pull up GP on UA-cam and immediately find, not only great commentary, but wonderful instruction and music. Hope the family is doing well. I'm sure that little girl is growing fast! Hey wait a sec...what happened to the Taylor that you had to remove the truss rod nut cover?

waiting for my hand to recover and after that i will definitely practise this. thanks Thom :)
The most underrated guitar channel on youtube.
Ain't that a fact, one of the best guitar players in the world probably. Doesn't make sense
With 275k subs. I don't get why people throw the word "underrated" around so easy. It lost all meaning 🙄

Amen to that Bro’.
Carl Perkins: There is song writers, there is singers, there is guitar players. And there is one Eric Clapton.
And only one John Mayer.
And only one Prince, surely.
@@bigred6486 I really love trucks but his writing isn't as breath taking as his playing in my opinion.
And only one Guitar Pilgrim
And when Clapton plays I hear JJ Cale.
clapton is underrated as a singer - i just heard him sing presence of the lord with DD and was blown away. Derek and the dominos live at the fillmore - top 5 blues/rock album.
Exactly
He sings well while playing well. That is difficult.

You have a great singing voice!
Excellent. Nice and blue! You chocked me up when you brought Dylan’s pic up and discussed his singing. I nearly swallowed my pick.
One of the BEST videos ive seen on youtube.. been playing this track for 10 years and you really captured what going on in this cool groovy tune, great vocals too
I remember an interview with Eric saying he first was terrified of singing, but knew he couldn't really play the blues without it.
The best strum I’ve heard yet. Thanks
You should start the Blues University school along with Active Melody and Paul Davids. All of you guys are monster blues players in your own right!
Yes! Brian, Paul and Thom, now that would be something!
Putting your guitar skills aside which are immense I love your enthusiasm it's contagious thank you very much Rock on
Charles brown, classic, now that's the real thing; your enthusiasm is wonderful, not to mention your playing
I love his exaggerated delivery, talking- akin to the popular Craig Ferguson host of the CBS, Late, Late Show! And I just learned I could actually sing this tune in the Key of E! New subscriber here. And many thanks!
Guitar Pilgrim! Hello from Argentina and thank you for your contribution to those of us who love the guitar
Not only are you a great guitar player, but the production quality of your videos is fantastic. Thank you for posting.
Awesome. He's the Ultimate Bad Ass...
His voice compliments his playing. Love your Channel . Hope I will see this Legend in a few weeks here in Texas!
It´s very good when you sing along, helps a lot to develop the song , and to learn it.
This was amazing! Thank you for covering one of my favourite performances from one of my favourite artists.
Hope to see a lesson about Rory Gallagher from you one day!
