I was a 13 year old punk who spent my weekends and Summers surfing at Newport and Huntington Beach's in Orange County, when this song came out in the early 70s. Back in the early to mid 70s, it seemed like the Eagles were always on the radio no matter where you went and what you were doing. Great, great memories.
There was no better place in time to be then the OC in the 70’s. I was born in 77 so I only got a taste of what my parents had growing up in Dana Point but we 80’s punks had a pretty good experience of what you guys had. I would do nearly anything to go back. Most people can’t imagine just how cool and chill and fun it was back then. 🤙🏻
Take it to the limit with Randy Meisner as lead vocal is a must, Randy has an amazing voice but doesn’t get enough credit as Frey and Henley get the most credit for their success
Oh my goodness! Watching you react to the Eagles "Take it easy" was absolutely great. You lovely girl. The Eagles would only wished they had more beauties who appreciated their music like you.
Seen the eagles twice and believe it or not I thought they sounded better live than in the studio! Thanks for a great reaction its great to see you enjoy great music!!
Thanks for the sweet reaction. I was born in ‘68, graduated in ‘86 and feel so blessed to have been raised on the 70’s and 80’s tunes. There was always great songs NO MATTER what genre it was. Rock…Soul…Pop…Country…Punk…New Wave…Soft Rock/Yacht Rock…. I just never understood the people that liked to pigeonhole themselves into only one or two genres and completely shutout other genres, for whatever reason… I TOTALLY appreciate listeners who are the younger generation, as yourself, and anyone else that decides to venture into songs they normally would never have tried. It is one reason I like the whole idea of a “reaction video”. I used think it was the most dumbest thing when I first saw it with my little nephews sitting around my computer with their neighborhood friends watching the reactor “pewdiepie” …who he, HIMSELF was watching(or playing) a video game. Once, I stumbled on a Black couple having their minds blown while watching a video from my era, BeeGees “Too Much Heaven”. It was only THEN…did I totally get it. Been checking out music reactions ever since. Again, Mahalo nui for exploring other tunes that isn’t in the current Main Stream/Top-40. There’s literally hundreds and hundreds of undiscovered good music people have yet to bless their ears with. Keep up your journey….I’m sure you’ll have a great time with it. Heck, I’m 53 and I STILL come across amazing artists…I’m more blown away when I come across singers/bands I end up LOVING their music… FROM TODAYS music artists. The best new artist(*and, probably, among my top 3 artists of all-time) out today is “AURORA” from Norway. If you haven’t heard anything from her, or who she is….you may enjoy a reaction to “Through the Eyes of a Child” VEVO stripped version and another LIVE video performance at “Nidarosdomen” cathedral. And her 3-song performance at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. One of the songs is “Runaway” which is how many Americans discovered Aurora, kind of, when a snippet of the song blew up on TikTok. So, now…she’s been touring in the U.S. along with the rest of the world with success. Eagles is also a Top -3 band for me. And that’s saying something for my liking. Because I REALLY LOVE others like…Fleetwood Mac….ELO…Chicago/Peter Cetera…Wham!/George Michael…Paul McCartney and Wings…Roger/Zapp…Air Supply…SADE…Billy Joel…Cyndi Lauper…Kate Bush…Annie Lennox…JohnDenver…BeeGees…Dr. Hook…Journey…Kenny Rogers…JACKSON Browne…Alabama…ABBA…Linda Ronstadt…Kool & the Gang…Van Halen…Taylor Swift…Sheena Easton….Styx…James Taylor…Huey Lewis and the News…John Cougar/Mellencamp…Adele…just to name a few😁🎼🔥🫶🏽🤘🏾🤙🏾 Btw, love your hairstyle. It has a sweet 70’s vibe mixed with a modern look. The feathered curls/waves that starts just at the top of both sides of your head…and you have the waves just drop beautifully down the side of your face. I remember all the girls….whether they were in grammar school into Junior High …or, adult ladies looked soooooooo dang cool and cute sporting those 70’s styles. It totally was soooo very sweet because it also went with the vibes with majority of that eras music scene. When a woman was on the dance floor movin’ and groovin’ to a song like, say, “Dancing Queen”/ABBA, the girls’ hair seem to be dancing on their own to the songs. I’ll get the video I’m trying to describe. From the woman on the dance floor to ABBA’s Frida and Agnetha on the stage just Rockin’ and flipping their hair. Always loved the style and fashion of the 70’s and 80’s. 80’s when their hair REALLY got bigger. 😁🔥….but, still, so cool and pretty. Mahalo, again and looking forward to other content you have. Have a very nice and safe weekend. 🎼Aloha🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🔥
The first time I heard this song on the radio, I was an instant Eagles fan. All the guys could sing. The harmonies were great. This was Glenn Frey. The best singing voice has to be Don Henley, the drummer. Too much success was their enemy.
No other band has the discipline that the Eagles have. Not a single note is played off, their harmonies are always dead on. They aren't doing anything crazy, it's just that everything is perfect. And that's what sets them apart from any other band.
fabulous reaction. Your hair is off the charts! haha Glad you're enjoying the world's greatest band. Masterful musicians, each with chart-topping vocal talents. It's almost not fair.
Already Gones, Lyin Eyes, One of These Nights... and marry me. I can tell you know the songs but seeing them live is another level of awe. These guys are among the best live performers ever and watching you jam out to them is contagious pure joy.
Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction!! I love your admiration and passion for music!!!! The first time I saw the Eagles was in 1976, and most recently this year May 2022 in Austin. Again, great reaction!!!!
One of the Best songs 🎵 so many great memories associated with this song. Driving down some high Desert two lane road. My girlfriend next to me in my 4×4 Chevy truck. Good memories and a little sad. Keep Rocking, will keep listening 🎶 👌
Been listening to the eagles since the 70,s brilliant group and great songs, easy listening my favourite is lyin eyes and hotel california, but there,s so many enjoy.
Great choice Rebeka great band Eagles and fantastic live saw them in Birmingham about 10yrs ago such a shame Glenn Frey is no longer with us sadly missed RIP Glenn💔🙏

Great Reaction Rebeka Luize Budlevska! Just a little fun fact about Take It Easy in Winslow Arizona on a corner there’s Two statues of Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne! It’s a popular tourist attraction!🙏🏻
I love your reactions, Rebekka. You totally give yourself to a song, and you have a very lovely gift of articulating what sizzles about it for you. All of the Eagles take turns singing lead. Try "Take it to the Limit," with bassist Randy Meisner singing lead. Another great Glenn Frey tune is "New Kid in Town."
The town of Winslow, AR opened a park in 1999 commemorating this song. There's a Ford flatbed truck, and a bronze statue of Glenn Frey standing on a corner with a guitar by his side. Jackson Browne wrote most of the song with Frey contributing "It’s a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford" part. Browne had had car trouble in Winslow & spent some time there getting it fixed.
Glenn Frey is wearing a t-shirt from my alma mater, University of Colorado in Boulder. In the early 70s before their first album, they played a lot of bars honing their band. I saw them at a little place called Tulagi in Boulder, and there might have been 40 people in the bar. They got better.
First, may I say you are stunning !!! It's awesome that you are rediscovering this group, and I'm only sorry I was late to your party. This is a fantastic group, and there's a huge catalog of songs and I'm sure you will have tons of fun discovering each and every one of them. Might I suggest testing out their albums Eagles Greatest Hits, The Long Run and Hotel California. With the 1st one, you'll get their older songs ... they sounded more Country Rock-ish but the last 2 sound just as good, but are more rock-ish.
Rock has always borrowed heavily from its siblings, blues, country, R&B and others. And like you, I have always prefered my rock with a little twang in it, best examples of that is the Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Hi Rebeka, if you like Country Rock you can't go wrong with the Eagles. Great reaction as always and if you want a deeper song from them it has to be the The Last Resort from Hotel California ( a slow number but the lyrics are deep and meaningful ). Oh and keep on rockin' beautiful!
Saw them on this tour and again in 94. I actually owned a 1974 Ford flatbed with a 390 4 speed and that old truck would move. Paid 4 hundred for it, put 90k miles on it and sold it for 100 bucks and a cord of wood. Buddy I sold it to drove it until it had close to 300k miles on it. (I traded up to a 68 Chevelle SS with a 396) What were we talking about? Oh yeah! The Eagles! 🤘🏼✌🏼❤️
I saw the Eagles in Seoul back around 2011-12 and they were amazing! I hope you enjoy discovering more of their music. I'd recommend, "Life in the Fast Lane," "In the City," "Lying Eyes," and "Heartache Tonight" for a broad palate of their sounds & genius.
Victim of Love from the Hotel California album is a hard rocker and On The Border .... In The City from The Long Run album is a phenomenal song ..I only recommend studio versions ..
When my girls started getting into music I played this one while we were in the car and they wanted to play it again and by the end the singing the oooooohs in the back seat
Great take on Eagles. Didnt see these Eagles songs suggested, so I'll add 'must hear' hit songs as 'Lyin Eyes', 'Take It To The Limit', and 'Tequila Sunrise'. Late '60s and '70s - best music. Chicago, Boston, Eagles, Carpenters, BTO, Guess Who, Hall and Oates, America, Ambrosia, Bread, Beach Boys, Styx, Foreigner, Seals and Crofts, Fleetwood Mac.....and I'm sure I left out more.
I don't know that you will ever get a complicated song out of the Eagles, as I can't think of any and I can't think of them ever considering that a thing they would focus on. They were a bunch of talented musicians who were thrown into a group setting, most could sing, and most could show their own individualism in their style of play when playing solo, but collectively were almost always about lyrics and jam session like songs. I love the Eagles but I don't look to them for my needs of teasing my ear with complexity, only soothing uplifting easy-going beats to play on the work radio or driving down the road in my car.
Take it to the Limit LIVE from this same concert is maybe the best live song I have ever heard, Randy sings that song, he used to be with Poco, so he was Semi-famous before the Eagles tbh.
After the Thrill is Gone has some great vocals. Especially when Don Henley comes in on the bridge and chorus. Henley and Frey always compliment each other's sound perfectly. Also, Randy Meisner sings the hell out of Take it To the Limit. I think you would love their album Desperado, from start to finish. Great blend of country and rock.
I have been a fan of "country-rock" for quite some time. This was already a great song.... so what did they do.... they went out and got Joe Walsh to join the band. Wow..... it sounds so much better with Joe in the band. For anyone that likes this then I suggest they listen to Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Charlie Daniels Band, and Pure Prairie League.
Hotel California is sung by the drummer, Don Henley. He and Glenn Fry (singer on this one) were the lead singers on most all their songs. The bass player Randy Meisner sang a few very good ones too.
Their first hit of many. If you like country try giving "The girl from Yesterday" by these guys it was a new song they wrote when they ended what Don Henley their 14 year vacation with "Hell Freezes Over" tour and album. You look as beautiful as usual. Try these songs Get Over It Last Resort (my favorite song of theirs) Love Will keep us Alive Lying Eyes Tequila Sunrise The Long Run Just a starting point
This is a 'let it rip' live version which is great with extended guitar solo. The original recorded version has a banjo continuo played by one of the original four Bernie Leadon which is beautifully elegant and balanced.
Hi Rebeka, I found this on Wikipedia and thought you might find this somewhat interesting. (Country singer) Travis Tritt also covered the song for the 1993 Eagles' tribute album Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles; the video for Tritt's version is notable for the appearance of all five members of the Eagles together again for the first time in 13 years after their break-up, and it led to the reunion of the band a few months later. Would definitely like to see you react to more from them. Hope you are having an awesome day!!
Try 'One Of These Nights' for a heavier, more complex song. In the summer of 1975 it was No1 in the UK charts & you couldn't go anywhere without hearing it, tho' you never hear it much these days. It rocks. I'd also recommend for your own enjoyment (seeing as you plainly love the band & this song) checking out their early performance of this on The BBC in concert, when they were just a four piece, with Bernie Leadon on lead guitar (no offence Joe). It's fantastic.
This live video was a few years after the first album, perhaps during the Hotel California tour. The original lead guitarist was Bernie Leadon. You would have liked him. He too was into the country genre mixed with rock. Leadon is not in this video. He had wanted the group to stay country-rock. However, the rest of the group wanted to go more towards rock so Leadon left the group. One term used to describe the mixture of rock and country music is called “rockabilly.” That’s a combination of rock and hillbilly (country) music. Eagles were a bit more rock than rockabilly.
Great choice. Any Eagles Any Time is always a great escape! Can't believe Glenn Frey is RIPing. Love the Eagles vocals and harmonies! Check out my fave Eagles song Seven Bridges Road...Rock On with your awesome reactions!

Their first hit of many. If you like country try giving "The girl from Yesterday" by these guys it was a new song they wrote when they ended what Don Henley their 14 year vacation with "Hell Freezes Over" tour and album. You look as beautiful as usual.
Try these songs
Get Over It
Last Resort (my favorite song of theirs)
Love Will keep us Alive
Lying Eyes
Tequila Sunrise
The Long Run
Just a starting point
This is a 'let it rip' live version which is great with extended guitar solo. The original recorded version has a banjo continuo played by one of the original four Bernie Leadon which is beautifully elegant and balanced.
Wow, sorry but you are absolutely gorgeous !!! Love your reaction to this though, Eagles are my favourite ever band !! Great video 👌
You should try hotel California from the hell freezes over album from 1994
Great song, great reaction. U need to do “Take it to the Limit” live.
Tune ❤
Hi Rebeka, I found this on Wikipedia and thought you might find this somewhat interesting. (Country singer) Travis Tritt also covered the song for the 1993 Eagles' tribute album Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles; the video for Tritt's version is notable for the appearance of all five members of the Eagles together again for the first time in 13 years after their break-up, and it led to the reunion of the band a few months later. Would definitely like to see you react to more from them. Hope you are having an awesome day!!
Jetho Tull Aqualung Live Love your hair very beautiful as always❤
Even better is Take It To the Limit live at the Forum 1976! PB
I think you're a California Girl at heart, Beks.
Rebeka, if you're looking for a heavier song by the Eagles, check out 'Life In The Fast Lane'. I think you'll like it!
thanks
