Do you think the officers were right to be suspicious when the woman tried to enter with a second passport after being denied on the first?
Absolutely, she knew what she was doing. As an American, I'm sorry for people like her 😔
And she should have been excluded. Her actions were intentional (she was denied on her US passport...mmmm? And she didn't know?) Fraud.
I do. She knew she overstayed last time, and I refuse to believe she wasn't told that she had a 3 year ban. I just don't believe her. I think her entering in on a Greek passport is proof she knew about the ban.
I do : I wonder if she is not American ; the outcome would be the same ( she is so entitled so aggressive ) 😮
Of course, very suspect. Sometimes people who have something to hide or who lie always act overly dramatic🙄
The American woman created her own problem by overstaying her visa, then tried to get back in by using a different passport, knowing she had been excluded. She just HAD to see her 5 year old step-daughter. Then when she had trouble getting across the border, she said she wouldn't be back. Can't be too interested in seeing that step-daughter. Sounds to me like the child was just an excuse to get back into the country.
Just as well your opinion doesn’t matter, eh?
It says comment ….so she is commenting….
@@jckonstanzwhat’s your problem buddy.
I wonder if there ever was a grandchild or if that was just "Karen's" backup plan for if she got caught🤷🏻♂️
IMHO, she should've been (at minimum) held overnight, or turned back completely and the exclusion period restarted. (Maybe one of her passports taken and sent to the corresponding embassy)
She knew EXACTLY what she was doing
@@jckonstanz And your's does?
Love how these arrogant passengers snark, "I'm NOT coming back here". As if anyone cares.
yeah not like they were welcoming her with open arms to begin with hahahaha
Correct..
So I guess she's claiming that she won't be back to visit her daughter anymore?
no really, I can understand her. Australia is not so special, that you need to go there during a lifetime.
It's unbelieveable she can say that after being given a huge pass, that would not be given to someone that didn't get angry and then cry. They totally took emotion into account with her.WHat a brat she is.
10:36 She knew exactly what she was doing… and now upset cause she got caught bypassing the system
and she will have been given papers last time in regards to the overstay and the exclusion.
You can tell too: When she's told that she's got an inclusion clause, she doesn't act surprised or deny it. I hope they ban her for life.
@@therabbitcanada WRONG! All they do is make a comment you "may" be excluded from re-entering the country again. Entering under another valid passport should actually be fair play.
@@OldWrench59 The passport should be stamped, with exclusion(year/date), and put in the system. Issue solved. Many people own dual passports, and swing the system to overstay. Come in on one, leave on the other. She tried too do that, but was caught.

She shouldn’t have been let in. She knew exactly what she was doing
IF SHE HAD AN AFRICAN PASSPORT, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN LET IN.
White privilege
I'm stunned by how these people get caught, and then walk into the country with no repercussions. People - follow the rules! Australia - enforce the rules!
Or, maybe just have better rules that aren’t so one size fits all and so draconian. The fact they don’t feel they can enforce them so uniformly shows there’s a problem there.
"She's learned a huge lesson today ", yeah, that she can bully her way to what she wants.
It's her stepchild - not her child. Yikes. This woman from the states gives people a bad name. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Why was she allowed in when the exclusion was placed on her?

Guilty as sin.
In my twenties I used to travel internationally with two passports. I had dual Spanish and Australian citizenship. I would leave Australia with my Aussie passport and enter Spain with my Spanish one. Just because many students from mainland China use Hong Kong as a stopover on their way to Australia doesn't mean she is from Hong Kong. As a Hong Konger, I can say I've never seen those food items sold in Hong Kong, and the currency she is using is Chinese Yuan, but not Hong Kong Dollars.
What a surprise. A HongKonger acting like they aren't 'Chinese'. Newsflash Jackie Chan, you're all the same. Respect our rules or stay in your own country.

When English is not the first language it would seem appropriate that an interpreter should be used to explain circumstances of why they were stopped.
The American woman knew exactly what she was doing - zero sympathy. She should never have been allowed in.
Everyone just gets warnings 😅 no wonder they don't take it seriously.
Trying to blame her situation on everyone else but herself.
The student is not from Hong Kong, but from China. Hong Kong people use Hong Kong dollars and have no problem doing international banking to transfer money to Australia (at least for the time being), so the VO is a little bit confusing
I guess she was using Hong Kong passport
That student definitely was from mainland China. Not only the undeclared food, even the packaging of the sanitary pads had simplified Chinese all over them. The same brand of pads would have traditional Chinese printed on their packaging if they were bought in Hong Kong. Around the 5:33 mark, the white sticker on her luggage had a code seemingly started with CZ (i.e. the code for China Southern, a mainland Chinese carrier). When she signed the transaction report (18:23), something like her passport and flight ticket were on the table right next to her. The little booklet had a red cover which meant it's a Chinese passport. On the contrary, Hong Kong passport has a blue cover.

Too many times people use "I'm not a terrorist" as an excuse to justify their illegal activities. As if what they did should not count. And what the woman did was over stay her Visa.
The returning student says she did not know about the cash, her Mom put it in. However, she knows exactly how much money she is carrying 🤦♀️It is astonishing, to me, how so many students walk around carrying such high amounts of cash. They rate puts her as having over 13k in Australia dollars.
Additionally, it surprises me that people who go to school, or have lived, in Australia for years are unable to understand English. I am guessing the courses are taught in English.
I'm not a terrorist either but it doesn't stop the Americans fingerprinting and photographing people upon entry. I'd love for American travellers to be treated the way that we are by their border guards.
"It is astonishing, to me, how so many students walk around carrying such high amounts of cash" Welcome to Asia
There's nothing wrong with using two passports. I use one to leave Australia and a different one to leave Europe (as I often stay longer than the Australian one allows). In this case she overstayed her visa in a country that she did not have a passport for and tried to get around it by using another passport which again, was not for the country she was visiting.
No one told her, but she used a different passport to get in? What a coincidence.
