- On our recent cruise on Sky Princess, a cruise from the U.K. to Scandinavia, we had a wonderful day in Copenhagen, Denmark. One of our visits was the world famous Tivoli Gardens, a very popular amusement park located near to the central railway station. In this video I’m going to show you how to sort your tickets, give you a full tour of the park and gardens, including rides, some on ride footage, attractions and food options. We went toTivoli this summer... It is an awesome park, you can easily spend a whole day in there... It's well worth the money. Thank you for the video, it almost feels like being back there :)

This is so classy, I like the look of it better than the Disney places. So much less.... Plasticy, if you know what I mean. I would love to visit there.

Loved Tivoli gardens just didn’t get to spend enough time in there, though I chickened out of every ride, and the missus wanted to do every ride in there, love to go back there though, we also went in the cafe with the delicious confectionery on display.
Could always spend longer at Tivoli ❤️

Thanks for the awesome park review Jamie - we were in Copenhagen on a Koningsdam cruise 4 years ago and got off the ship super excited about Tivoli only to get there and find it was shut! 😭
Great tip about pre-booking tickets- maybe if we'd done that we would have realised it wasn't open and saved ourselves the disappointment 😀
Oh blimey and I thought it was open all year around!! Maybe there was an event? 🤔 Anyway, there’s always the next time ❤️
@@TravelBlogJamie there were bus loads of school children lining up outside but we couldn't get tickets, so we figured there was an event of some sort 🤷♂️🤷♀️

A little tip: Tivoli looks great when it starts getting dark because of all the illuminations.

They close the rides 2-3 hours early. It made me mad considering this was one of the only things I liked about Copenhagen. I still hope someday to come back though.. otherwise I loved this park and would recommend it to anyone. Came here august 2022.

Hi Jamie, we're in Copenhagen this summer and really want to visit Tivoli. Is it within easy walking distance from the dock?
I've just downloaded the App, does Andy need to download it too for us to pre-order tickets or can I buy for both of us on my App?
Also, does it get very booked up or would I be able to get them on the App the morning we're there, in case Aurora can't dock?
Last question, are the queues generally very long? If we're limited to just a couple of rides due to time, wondering if it would be better to pay just entry and individual rides. Looks like you got the unlimited rides pass, did you get on everything you wanted?

Yes you can walk to Tivoli if docked centrally (about 30 mins, much of it is scenic). If you are docked out of town a shuttle drops you very centrally and only a 10 min walk. We bought tickets online in the morning and just showed email from memory. Lines not that bad - most no more than 20 mins max on our visit and some were walk on. We did pretty much everything. I’d recommend getting there for opening though. Definitely was worth the ultimate ticket!

What was the exchange rate for Denmark Krone Jamie Please? This looks like an exciting and relaxing theme park.. thank you for sharing
Hi Jackie - I put the exchange rate in the vid for pound sterling, dollars, and euros. You must have missed it?
What were the queues like fir the rides? Experience in UK parks can be up to an hour, so with limited time (we’re doing the same cruise you did), spending hours queuing doesn’t appeal to me :-)
Get there first thing to avoid worst of queues. Our longest wait was about 20 mins. Many were almost walk on.

I think you can get a good idea from the vlog if you like the look of the rides? I wouldn’t go just for the gardens
