I did a Sapphire test on the one I got so I tested the movement glass on the back of the watch, as well as the front, and that was registering sapphire to. Hope my tester isn't on the blink but I've tested other watches with it and it's ok with those. Like you I wish it had AR coating though.
WOW!! LOOK AT THAT!! I beat youtube looking for a review on that exact watch because I will not buy anything without reviewing it first and I didn't found one video. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO, BRO.!! 👍👍
I recently bought a bronze Seaturtle and within a week the crown pulled completely out of the watch. They (the company I bought the watch from)sent a replacement and the crown on it is defective. I exchanged emails with Boderry and they suggest I don't know what I'm doing. I do. Now I have 2 pieces of junk in a drawer and I'm out CAD $240.
Is the month hand supposed to automatically advance on a 31 to 01 date change? I tested mine manually by turning the crown and advancing the hour hand through midnight on the 31st. It clicked over to 01 just fine, but the month hand stayed on the previous month. Seems like that should automatically advance. But, I got the wrong manual with my Checkmate as it was for one of their generic three handers and I can't find the manual anywhere on-line. Thanks!
due to the improvement of Chinese manufacturing and quality control many watch enthusiasts opinioned that seagull movement are batter then Japan seiko and miyota movements nowadays. however the same cant be said for orient movement where they still keep a high degree of quality control

Excellent review as ever thanks, will definitely bid on this one.
Wow, these Chinese companies are improving extremely fast. Interesting to watch their ascent. This one is almost worth buying.
It looks to me as though the sub dial hands appear black and almost completely disappear against the black dial when viewed from directly above.

Excellent review, very well done.
Also, that movement has one of the three rotor mounting screws that's dangerously close to falling out. Ouch.
Yes, I noticed this after my review. Regards, #WR4K
Um, you said that Seagull movement was made in Japan? I think you meant China.
Correct, apologies for the error. Regards, #WR4K

@@watchreviews4k Oh, great. Guess I got a broken one. Back to Amazon it goes...
Surely the movement is made in China rather than Japan?
Yes, Seagull movements are made in China. Apologies for the error. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k No worries, very enjoyable review as always.
