Thank you for all you do to help support and encourage me to keep on turning :)
God bless!!!
Really love the combinations on this piece. So creative!
lol so the Wax was so totally not what I expected. it still turned out FREEKIN AWESOME !
Beautiful piece Kim! Love this idea!!
Kim, I have watched a number of your videos over the past year or so, they are always neat and interesting. However, I have to tell you this is one of the more interesting projects have seen anyone take on. VERY COOL. Takes a great imagination to come up with this one. Also, I know it must take you time to provide all those links, but it is much appreciated.
Thank you so much Troy! I appreciate you appreciating that 🤗😁
Not sure if you read comments made on older videos but i love that you are a Christian and not afraid to show it.
Very interesting piece. I always kind of hate to see beautiful wood covered up, but the combination here is nice. Thanks for the video.
Another great job very beautiful bowl
Wow, awesome job!
Thank you Philip!
Nice job! Beautiful piece Kim!
Thank you Jack!.🤗🤗
Bravo frumoasa opera de arta frumoasă artistă
A real braw piece Kim. Thanks. Had you been in the Uk I would have suggested the most excellent Hollowing system by Simon Hope Woodturning . Still worth a look.
Thank you!! Also for the recommendation. I will put it on the list! 🤗
This is wonderful. Love it
Thank you Bo!
really enjoyed this video Kim that is one sweet project right there and a lovely touch with the string or twine, overall an awesome effect with colour and twine, thanks for sharing Ross
Very nice work
Thank you Bob!
The only thing more impressive than the bowl is the amount of work you put in, Kim! Phenomenal work!
Thank you you!! I agree. This project was time consuming but it was worth it!
Kim Tippin Wood Turning is this the video of my prayer requests?
No, the newest one. This was last weeks. Sending prayers 😁🤗
Absolutely beautiful. The look of the piece with the rope and the metal paste is great. 👏
I like my Elbo hollowing tool from Tim Yoder, and the #1 and #2 easy wood hollowers. The #1 is great for cutting to a final thickness on bowls too.
Very cool Kim, I like your imagination... where did your boots go?
Great looking bowl Kim. Hey no boots this week lol 👍🇺🇸
Oh it's just amazing !!!! I totally thought it was metal and wood joined with rope .. so fabulous ! Thanks Kim xxx
Thank you Claire!! I wish I was that talented. lol Maybe one day I will try my hand at metal work. I admire those who do for sure :)
Великолепная работа,достойна восхищения, удачи Ким и благополучия!!!
...у красивой девушки не может быть плохих работ!, мне она тоже очень нравится вместе с её работами, молодец девушка, здоровья ей и удачи во всём!!!
Absolutely wonderful
Thank you so much 🤗🤗🤗
@@KimTippin where do you live?
Where do you get your supplies from?
Florida.
what supplies? Look in the description for details on where I get most of my supplies.
I love how the lace looks like you tide the bottom to the top and how the silver wax looks like metal.
Thank you Woodden!
What a neat looking project. I might have to make something like that when I get my shop up and running. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
I love your masterpiece...
Your work inspires me.....
awww Thank you !
A MAZE ING Well done
Thank you Robin!!
This is neat, although not my style. I don't much like the silver, but I do think the ties are nice, although I think they'd have been better done in leather. It's still nice to see how different things are done. 👍
Félicitations .... Vos réalisations sont fabuleuses. Bonne continuation.
Very nice, I enjoyed watching you create this beautiful bowl/vase
What an amazing build and turn! Kim, I noticed that all ur gouges are the Irish grind of 55°. Why is this ur favorite?
Thank you!! I feel like it is more versatile than my standard grind. I honestly had a hard time with the standard grind at first. I put the Irish on it and wow!! changed the game. For me it is the one tool I could use to do everything I need. I love how I can take HUGE cuts with it and then delicate sheer scraping with the same tool. The tip is perfect for small areas and details too. Some woods I can use the whole side wing to hog out material. My therapy lol
I use the Trent Bosh Hollowing system with laiser. Very good system 👍
Wow Kim another beautiful piece I cannot believe I didn’t know what those holes before but when you started sewing at least in there who would lot of that oh my god that looks tough I love that another excellent job man you keep me so much I love it thank you God bless
Great vision to create such a beautiful piece of art...great job!
I love this! Such a unique project.
Beautiful piece. I love that idea. Great job
So true the only time to be overboard.
Thank you Les!
So wonderful!! Great product!!
Maravilhosa peça Kim.... você é bastante dedicada.... Parabéns....
Thank you, 🤗🤗
Hi Kim. I'm very new to turning. I very much enjoy watching you work and speak as you go. I've learned a lot. This particular piece is one of my absolute favorites that I've viewed from your many projects. I also follow along with Doug from Pohl Barn. You both take the time to talk about your process and techniques throughout your video's. You are both very informative. Actually, I learned of you though one of his videoed projects. Thank you for the much valued lessons learned. PEACE
Thank you, Peter 🤗🤗
Ideenreich! Außergewöhnlich! Sehr schön!
Handwerksarbeit in meisterhafter Qualität! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Really enjoyed watching you make this creative piece 👌👌👌
Thank you so much 🤗🤗
That's beautiful, Kim. The whole effect is something I haven't seen in a long time. Great job!
Thank you William!
Very nice Kim!....ummm...you are in Florida and I see a heater going!?!🤔👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!! I have no insulation ... in my shop or on my body. lol I freeze when it is 70 degrees. lol
Unique piece. Terrific contrast with wood grain and silver segment. Keep them coming. thank you
Thank you Mike! 🤗
Beautiful bowl Kim! Love the lacing and finish. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thank you for watching!! I appreciate your kinds words!!
Unique bowl, Kim!
Thank you Rick!
Hi Kim, that interesting & unique piece reminds me of Native American pottery...Great Job...Did you say that there was other colors available besides what you used ? And where can someone find it? Very nice job though and have a Blessed Day. GOD BLESS !
Hi Gary!! I attached a link for those colors in the video description. You can also go to Decoart.com to see where all the colors are sold. Thank you !
Thanks for the links, I’ve been looking for colored wax that will apply while turning
very welcome!!
YOURE AWESSOME, IS A FANTASY WORK AND I LOVE IT......FROM NICARAGUA CONGRATULATIONS AND THANKS FOR CHARE.
Thank you so much Jorge!
Very nice Kim. Well done.
Thank you Dan!!
Hermosa pieza Kim!!! Gracias por compartir tu trabajo!!!!
¡Muchas gracias por mirar!
How do you prevent your bowls from cracking/getting warped?
well, I wish I could say they don't. but when turning green wood it will happen to some degree regardless to what you do. It is the expectation of turning green wood. Just depend on weather you like that or not.
Love your work kim , beautiful piece . Such great crafting , i have been wanting to try this but can't but maybe one day . Thank you for sharing your beautiful work .
Thank you Carl!!
Great job kim... 👏👏👏👊
I am using the D-Way hollowing tool. Very nice even as a beginner. That is a fabulous piece for sure. Why do you first use shine juice before applying the metal wax?
Thank you!!
I only applied the shine juice to the top part where the wax was not applied...and the inside.
Hi Kim.... I use the Lyle Jamieson hollowing system and really like it. It is easy to set up and accepts other boring bars (I also use John Jordan's hollowers). You can find plans on the web to make your own backrest, saving a few bucks. The only downside is you have to be careful when replacing the laser pen batteries because it tends to crossthread easliy and you have to replace it. Best of luck!
Thank you for sharing that with me Jim! I appreciate it!
If I see something new, it's usually in one of your videos. Beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing your work
Thank you 😊
That's beautiful, my favorite piece so far. Keep up the wonderful videos!
Thank you Scott!
What a beautiful idea Kim. Congrats to this unique piece which really looks like steel tied ti the wood. Would love to see more of such creative ideas of yours. Please stay safe and healthy - and warm. Currently we have an icy polar air stream coming our way here. Snow ploughs in May? Yes - in Bavaria.
Thank you, Stephanie 🤗🤗
Very impressed just started turning and you are very helpful thx. Walk Blessed
amen! Thank you🤗🤗
Are those Converse? 😮
yes... shhh lol
phenomenal! i really like the stitched look you came up with! you giving me ideas!
Thank you , Zed W 😎😉
Hi Kim, Im new to the wood turning and this project has really inspired me to create something similar, (Hope you dont mind) but am thinking on doing this same design but airbrushing the details like the threads and metalic looking bottom. this way i could make rust marks and weather the area that would be the metal looking part. Thanks again for your videos you really do some amazing work.
That is why I share!! I love inspiring others to create a better version of their own . :) It is why I spend so much time recording, editing and posting. It is my hope for others. I am not the best, but maybe my pieces will spark some creative ideas in others.. Knowing this is such a blessing to me! Thank you so much, Todd!
Wow I am glad this one came up, loved watching, you shine sis, God bless you. 🦄🌈💜
🤗🤗🙏🙏
This is a beautiful object, but I cannot understand it. It took a lot of hard work to do this, except for how it looks there is no intellectual honesty to the whole thing. May be its appearance is what satisfy you, but what is the essence of this object. The cross stitches make me feel they are used to tie the two halves together, but they are not. The hollow form gives me the feeling that it is supposed to hold something, but it doesn’t. That is why this is so perplexing to me. You definitely are very talented and more than capable of producing beautiful looking objects, what don’t you go that step further to make it intellectually satisfying?
I am so sorry.. you lost me at " intellectual honesty to the whole thing". I have no clue what you are talking about. I apologize. Thanks for watching! God Bless!
Looks great really like it
I really enjoy your work. I think its because every piece you do is like a piece of art. I relate to your work and gives me more inspiration to think outside the box and not be afraid of doing something different. I am my worst critic and trying to just let my work speak for itself..
Thank you, Stephen.
Yes, let yourself grow in this craft. Even if the end result is not what you expected. Keep going and growing:)
I enjoy the time fact that you communicate with us as you work. So much of Utube is silent and I don't learn as much as I do from your videos.
Thank you Richard!!
Out of sight. Great creation. Man I just love your narrations.
Thank you Xavier!!
fun to see the little shoes watching mommy work bet they want a chance to turn too :) happy thanks giving
It is great knowing they have a love for wood working too. Both of my kiddos have turned before. I want to buy a mini lathe for my son to start making pens. He is like him momma, wants to make EVERYTHING. LOL
Very nice work, thank you for sharing. It really gave me a few ideas.
Thank you for watching!!
Wow Kim great looking bowl hat to say the title 10 times fast great work 👍
Had to keep y'all on your toes after the Yellow Bellied Sap Sucker Woodpecker. lol
Stunning. Just stunning.
bạn là một người phụ nữ tuyệt vời, bạn làm việc rất tỉ mỉ
Beautiful bowl Kim. Very nice idea.
Thank you and for the suggestion 😉
Even though this is one of your older videos I love the look you created on this bowl. You create the most interesting items.
Thank you so much, Irma 🤗🤗
Sprinkle some corn starch on the CA and it will harden right away
Thank you for the tip!!!
Very nice! I like the design. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Don!
I thought you were into metal work when I saw the opening photo. Nice piece Kim.
Thank you!! I wish!
Very interesting piece.
Great job. ☺😊☺😊
Thank you 🤗🤗
Good morning my fellow artist! Do u ever use Gaboon Ebony and or African Black wood? Such Talent Kim...I could just watch this all day...I think sanding is my favorite process with projects. I also enjoy finishing a piece with polyurethane, wax, shellac, etc...u just make it look so easy...and I know it takes a gr8 eye and feel for ur wood. Thank u again. Have a gr8 holiday with family...wow this is so cool looking! That metal wax is going on my shopping list...we don’t have a Hobby Lobby in Myrtle Beach SC....
very interesting idea defiantly going to try it. it really pops kind of an industrial look great job
Thank you 🤗
Very creative Kim
So beautiful.
Wow now that is quite a peace. It will really draw attention. Thanks
Thank you Charles🤗🤗
Very nice, you know you could use a little heat on the rope so it wouldn’t be hair
Thank you ! lol yeah I tried that and it burnt up. This is jute rope so it is highly flammable. Plus, I like the hair. lol
Finally got time to watch this video and wow I really liked how it all came together
🤗🤗🤗 Thank you so much for watching Ernest!! I appreciate you!
Hi Kim, I’m in the UK and have polymyalgia which affects my upper arms and hands so I definitely needed assistance with hollowing. I bought the Hope Deep Hollowing System and find it a tremendous asset. However, it is necessary to remove the tailstock assembly which is a struggle with my condition. But I have seen the Tim Yoder Elbow system which attaches to the tailstock and think I would have bought this had I lived in the US. Incidentally you have the digits 2COR.5 On your lathe, is it 2 Corinthians 5. Regards and so many thanks for your videos and dialogue. Brian
Thank you Brian for sharing that. I will look into both systems.
2 Corinthians 5:17 the dust is covering the "17".
@@KimTippinThank you, Kim. I’ve just re-read it. Its nice to be reminded. Bless Brian
WoW!!! Fantastic piece of art work!!!
Thank you Ed!
Nice Work!
Que linda peça decorativa..
Muito obrigado
When I first saw the picture at the start of the video I really thought you had used metal in some way!!! This is gorgeous Kim yet again another one knocked outta the park 👍👍👍
Thank you Gavin🤗🤗
Really nice piece. Being so thick was it still a bit green?
no, this was very dry.
I subscribed Miss Tippin...🇬🇧👍
Thank you so much Glenn!! 🤗🤗🤗
That's Absolutely Beautiful Kim! Great Video! Thank You!
I have enjoyed every piece you have done so far, but this is hands down my favorite. Thank you so much for sharing
🤗🤗🤗 Thank you!!
Awesome piece. True artist. You seen the vision and achieved it. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing ideas and works.
Thank you Karl🤗🤗
Don't worry about finishes sticking to shellac, as everything sticks to shellac and shellac sticks to everything.
lol
Very nice,, thanks for sharing
Thank you Mitchell!
love it kim
