Didn't realize it's "non" canon I don't see why it's not, it's part of his arc, his melody's and mood skills were definitely showing here, it's like you can almost hear worlds.
This has always been my favourite track on Spitfire. The perfect mix of prog house and electro. Shit still slaps today! Thanks for all of your amazing music over the last two decades Porter!!!
Do you know the feeling when you're searchin on YT late night, aimlessly and then you find something really, REALLY incredible? This happend to me 6minutes and 41 seconds earlier, even if I didn't knew it from the beginning. Pure Awesomness!
I remember seeing Porter in Glasgow around the time when Language was being released and he played this. What a fantastic tune! Would love to see him incorporate this into his modern work
I think the "I'm a victim of vandalism, you covered me in graffiti" bridge/pre-chorus is just exquisite (in comparison to the rest of the song) and I would have loved to have heard it as an extended version on its own track. Maybe someday.
When she says "Vandalism" for the second time and the note drops down a bit it gives me goosebumps every time. This should have gotten a live Worlds version instead of Unison.
@@summitthemememan779 hey man sorry I never saw this until now...just actually came back kinda hoping my dream might've come true by now haha, sadly no such luck I guess lol. I agree though that A G F♯stepdown in the second part of the bridge-chorus is really breathtaking, I absolutely love perfect little moments like that 💕
@@Sarah.Riedel this is the same guy from up there, and i'm on a nostalgia trip through all of the music i used to listen to, and i didn't exactly know what to call that sequence of notes at the time i posted that comment, but yeah lol might make my own version of this track based on the bridge section, if i'm able to find the acapella, if i do i'll post the link here when it's done B)

Keep it up, don't slow down man! As a DJ, I'm hoping to be spinning your records at clubs and events for years to come. BRING THE NOISE, SIR! BRING IT HARD!
it was too advanced for its time and big edm scene that followed. and 7 minutes is too long for a mainstream edm song. this was the first porter robinson i listened to and still my favourite easily tho.
Best it brings good and vague memories, first time i heard that song playing from friends phone, and i became so addicted with this song, and also vague part that i feel like been in club and then i heard that song playing for first time, but it's not true - this is truly a masterpiece of porter robinson.BEST!
I saw porter live for 3 of the most amazing times in his career which i didnt then know but now am SOO fkn happy i stayed COMPLETELY sober for and was absolutely the MOST memorable and amazing sets as far as energy perfection true to sound production etc it doesnt get better than this man right here. audiotistic 2011, spitfire tour at the music box in hollywood 2012(best show ever)and the worlds tour. hes a fcking genius theres no if ands or buts about it. #porterforpresident #iluvyou
+Mirco Dubois To be honest, I really don't see the kawaii thing. Except for Flicker (which I really don't like), the rest of Worlds was just a wall-to-wall beautiful concept piece. But each to their own
@kizanko yea those sections are dope, very nice vocal trance feel. but the hardcore and dub parts are what make Porter so fucking amazing...you get the best of all.
Hahahahha dude your rant was excellent.. That's the EDM genre for you. I also enjoy the M machine, Nick Thayer and Dillon Francis. I dont particularly like Skrillex but the exposure he gives these artists is great. So props to Skrillex, OWSLA and Porter in general.
Porter Robinson is so good. I know he says his pre-Worlds work is "non-canon", but I think his old stuff is still really good in its own way.
Hell yeah
Didn't realize it's "non" canon I don't see why it's not, it's part of his arc, his melody's and mood skills were definitely showing here, it's like you can almost hear worlds.
He does count Spitfire and Language as “canon” tho
One of the best djs I've ever heard
100% still gonna be bumping this EP for years to come. Classic for sure
Electro house NEEDS to come back to popular dance music. It has SOOO much energy to it!
I agree
i mean. bass house is pretty similar to electro house in terms of energy.
It really did slam. I go back and listen to things and i swear i like them x2 more than when they came out.
tik tok tik tok hurry tf up you spoiled gen z brats! make symphonic (metal) electro great again~~
@@animalsnearth I'd rather not rely on tiktok on that, we will get teens ruining these songs xp
someone explain how porter is 19 and can make tracks as dirty as this omg
😳
Tiesto
obviously porter who composed the song but the sound engineer who mastered it is why it sounds as good as it does.
2010-2011-2012, best EDM years
2011-2014
2009-2014
This has always been my favourite track on Spitfire. The perfect mix of prog house and electro. Shit still slaps today! Thanks for all of your amazing music over the last two decades Porter!!!
Ahh... my first Porter Robinson song when I didn't even realize it was him lol
mine was language
@@sawyer2085 Bro saaaame
Same, this song brings so much nostalgia, what's funny is that I didn't know it was his song either
Same. I thought it was some hardwell track back then😂
I keep coming back to this from time to time. Amba is epic, the bassline is sick and this tune doesn't get enough praise.
Back for more in 2024
This was ahead of it's time.
Do you know the feeling when you're searchin on YT late night, aimlessly and then you find something really, REALLY incredible? This happend to me 6minutes and 41 seconds earlier, even if I didn't knew it from the beginning.
Pure Awesomness!
what about his new stuff =)
I cannot begin to describe the feelings of coming back to this song and hearing Porter himself call it “Cunty”, like, HE WAS SO RIGHT.
@@BM-ek4tn HAHAHAHAHAHAH UR GIRLFRIEND LIKE THAT ONE BUDDY?
This is the best song where amba sings, and of course it' s porter Robinson' s song
I honestly feel that this song should've been a made a music video

Sanctum Seems like there a lot of people on a nostalgic spree right now. I just back from a bunch of Skrillex, flume, and Porter Robinson videos.
This kind of music is like watching a movie. The intro is meant to build suspense for the drop! It keeps you waiting for that moment.
oh fuck yeah that beat in the beginning
Seriously... I want to meet Porter Robinson
Shlok Kulasekaran
As do I. :)
Shlok Kulasekaran i met him last year before going into my senior year :') he was so nice!
Mina Lee I really want to know how he produces his music. It's so amazing *-* He's my mentor.
[Verse 1]
I wasn't born yesterday
But I've succumbed to your wicked ways

Seem to think I'm your property
And your misconduct is trashing me

Do you still work as a DJ?
I keep coming back to this .
I miss it so much
Still my favorite, first song i heard of yours. And still amazing in 2021
as a fellow music producer, porter robinson is a huge influence for me. it seems everything he does is massive
I cant express how much i love this song.
Why does this only have 1m views :( such a good song.
it was too advanced for its time and big edm scene that followed. and 7 minutes is too long for a mainstream edm song. this was the first porter robinson i listened to and still my favourite easily tho.
I miss this type of porter robinson music. The combo of trance/electro house. His stuff is great though overall despite the genre.
Best young producers for me:
1. Madeon
2. Mord Fustang
3. Zedd
4. Porter Robinson
5. Deorro (alson known as TON!C)
i forgot how good porter is :(
This ep is a masterpiece, but it's still nothing compared to what we expect from the album he's working on!
How do you forget what amazing sounds like? XD
Best it brings good and vague memories, first time i heard that song playing from friends phone, and i became so addicted with this song, and also vague part that i feel like been in club and then i heard that song playing for first time, but it's not true - this is truly a masterpiece of porter robinson.BEST!

The EP is so, SO good, including the remixes.
Can't get enough of this song... I wanna listen to it forever.
5 years later and still such a tune
gotta say, this is the last song on the EP i fell in love with, but holy shit i cannot stop listening to it

At my wedding, they played this song. Now I'm alive.
I fucking love that beat at 3:01
The vocal is sooooo goood!
Why the need to argue about what this is?? Just realize that its some dope ass electronic music and enjoy it
favourite song from album!
porter's career is so interesting really.
One of my favorites. Porter you are a god.
It remembers the OG Spinnin' Records releases (like when Martin Garrix was doing Complextro and not Big Room yet)
that was the most beautiful description of electro house i have ever read
Spitfire Porter >
Don't @ me.
Masterpiece.
2021!!!
I saw him last night at his show here in Albuquerque
3:00 incredible
best country music i've ever heard
Awesome vocals and his dope drop!
My roommate's phone vibrating rhythmically in the background was a nice addition to this song
best song of the album.
Wolfgang and Porter, they need to collab... that would be a crazy ass track
The fake fans cant find us here ... God dam porter this was fucking gold, what a tune this was, the best time to be hearing edm then .
fr, this EP was pure fire. every single track is so unique and different, superior quality to everything else that was playing at the time
This song is underrated
beautiful voice Amba Shepherd)
This is really really good Porter Robinson, big congratiulations on this song:

ElendilAndAragorn yes i did and i really dont like it
***** indeed man , porters new style is to kawaii and future bass for me (except shepherdess and lionhearted those songs are sick)
+Mirco Dubois To be honest, I really don't see the kawaii thing. Except for Flicker (which I really don't like), the rest of Worlds was just a wall-to-wall beautiful concept piece. But each to their own
This is>than martin garrix IMHO
amazing live! would see him everyday if i could!
Oh wow...... This just brought me back to Europe big time!!
I would hear this song now and then on Pandora, and all along I thought she was saying she was a victim of feminism.
lmao's
HAHAH LOL
Gold
@kizanko yea those sections are dope, very nice vocal trance feel. but the hardcore and dub parts are what make Porter so fucking amazing...you get the best of all.
THE DROP!!!!
My bro drives his car while dis plays..great driving music! I love this tune!
muy buena!
Beats + That Drop = Priceless : )
Hahahahha dude your rant was excellent..
That's the EDM genre for you. I also enjoy the M machine, Nick Thayer and Dillon Francis. I dont particularly like Skrillex but the exposure he gives these artists is great. So props to Skrillex, OWSLA and Porter in general.
