Before the first 4 minutes is up, I can say this is the best GCN+ video of 2021. I am a cycling commuter, not a mountain biker, road biker, etc ... So this video is something I can identify with even if it is just extreme cycling commuters.
Loved this documentary! Gritty, entertaining and looks like a whole lot of fun! Great community spirit as well, kudos to anyone riding a fixed bike without a break! I agree, jumping Red lights isn't sensible but I appreciate GCN showing us a side of cycling (bike culture) that a lot of us are not really aware off! Thanks GCN
The full film was fantastic on GCN+! Really enjoyed it, more than I thought I would. Great job of showing the camaraderie and energy of the scene without being judgmental. Love for bikes is love for bikes, simple as that. More like this please!
I lived in Manila for 8 years, cycle commuting to work...then taking the long way home at night. That was when I got to meet the 'dark side'. The fixed gear culture is in full effect with Manila youth...firstly because it is cost-accessible but more importantly, it is completely counterculture. The big thing in Manila is midnight fixie races across the city. Totally sick.
The GCN+ video SEND IT on the GCN app is a well rounded view of delivery cycling. They cover bike repair, costs, and maintenance. How to get your bike hundreds of miles away as efficiently as possible. How to have fun at your job. How to find out one type of job might not be for you. And they SMILE and have fun the entire way on bikes I would be concerned about pedaling on in rural Idaho with 5 mile long straightaways with no traffic. They are going through CITIES! 😎👍
Pedaling a fixed gear 🚲 in rural eastern Idaho would be as useful as bringing a tuba while duck hunting. But this video tempts me to buy a fixed gear 🚲.
Really found this interesting, a culture I wasn't aware of, but I kept waiting for Hank to rock up in his GCN kit to "give it a try"... GCN defying expectations. Not sure about the behaviour though,, regardless of how many on screen disclaimers were shown. Definately an example of "No wonder some people hate cyclists".
It's no wonder there's so much anger and animosity from drivers towards cyclists when you've got people like this on the roads. They give all cyclists a bad reputation and risk not only their own lives but those of others, I watched this film earlier and had to stop watching when they constantly ran red lights narrowly avoiding oncoming vehicles and pedestrians. Not sure it's the sort of thing GCN should be promoting
You can go watch Tour De France. The only reason I wouldn’t watch this because this is the brit version of the same thing that I’ve watched before. As for “giving cyclist a bad reputation”, you don’t need these guys to do that lol just drive a car, boomer!
Hi Mike, thanks for your feedback on the film. We do promote safe riding, and we also want to show the stories of many different types of cyclists on GCN+. The film is intended as an observational look at a cycling sub-culture that might not be that familiar to many of us. Thanks for trying the film and sorry to read that you didn't enjoy this one. We'll be working hard to make more films and documentaries which appeal to a range of cyclists and which hopefully show more about all sides of bikes and cycling. Cheers, Lasty
GCN covers everything cycling, without bias in my experience. If they only show the most positive side and ignore the negative, they are lying by omission. While I find GCN exceptionally entertaining, I have also never caught them in a lie, even by omission. That's impressive!
I agree Mike, where I live the image of cyclists leads to increased anger and dangerous situations. Cyclists have a terrible reputation and I wish GCN would take responsibility in bettering our image for instance by putting in a disclaimer in this video that GCN does not condone illegal behavior.
A rotating selection of GCN+ films are available as part of our GCN UA-cam Memberships. Check out what is currently being shown 👉 gcn.eu/GCN+Films

The film absolutely rocks....it’s up there with any cycling film ever...well done...well done Cardiff !

Awesome, thank you!
1:28 Bruh, pedestrians on the streets and vehicles on the sidewalk. Story of my life.
After Beaumont's Africa and World, this is the best film till now. Should be Challenge category. Massively brutal.
Bangin'! This is gonna rip their legs off, fam!
This looks fantastic. I can’t wait to watch it.
Update: It was.
City cycling is nerve wracking but this should be fun to watch.
Looks wicked.

I feel like I'm in the wrong country again... That's dope!

Where's the actual film rather than this trailer.
Sounds cool, but extremely dangerous. It's encouraging riding like an asshole, and risk taking.
I can’t disagree...but dammit I loved it..
It’s inappropriate sure...but an antidote for how I feel locked down, distanced, masked etc..vicariously raising some s...

I think Hank would be a long way out of his depth!
#messlife
one less car is always better.
swallow it guys.
this is the pill you all need.
P. O. B. Anyone?
I'm all for more people on bikes, but after watching this I think it's the first time I think we've got to get some people OFF bikes

@@GCNPlus LASTY! You were the BEST cycling commuter in the cycling commuter race video. Thanks for the excellent presence, presentation and humor.
