GET YOUR $6 EDC KNIFE HERE: Get your $6 knife here: goo.gl/q5REsc
Wranglerstar seems like a knife that is at the right quality to pricepoint to toss in as a backup in any of your prepared gear bags since for the price of a normal secondary knife you can buy a dozen and if you break one or lose one you aren't out much from a financial perspective. Honestly have seen worse knives at much higher pricepoints.
Wranglerstar I had a simaler assisted opening knife that failed and stabbed me in the wrist
Graham Moore
Damn Chinese, trying to kill us on shitty knife at a time.
the price is in the thumbnail
GUNSnSTUFF are u trying to be racist!
I do love when he keeps the price a secret but it's in the thumbnail... xD
Nova Storm
ha ha !!! true.
+Nova Storm and description
Lol I was going to comment that
Why it's for the people who can't read of course.
Why do you say xd
can't say I've ever had cheese or sausage in my knife handle, I usually cut with the blade
TexasRigged I just don't use my benchmades and ZT'S to cut cheese...
I have had lint in mine but
And regarding its open-back design; wouldn't that also ALLOW IN more debris?
@@thepull-outking5123 no because it passes through but it being close it just get trapped in there
-HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD COST?
-ehhh, judging from the video cover, $6 maybe?
"That's why I don't like the benchmade griptillian"
Me to my griptillian: don't worry little guy,he dosnt mean it
When taking knives apart and reassembling the blade needs to be in the OPEN POSITION! When the knife is open the lock bar and assist springs are at rest.
When taking something apart and you say "uh oh,were did this come from" strikes fear in me .
i cant help but feel that you didnt think this review through when you started taking it apart.
"I know what's going on here. It's just.....crummy" died laughing
*taking apart... not testing
94kenDOLL didn't do it to his good bench mark knife
94kenDOLL I was just going to comment this same thing. I'd really like to see the knife used.
he didnt truly tested it so fail for the purpose of the video had to dislike it unfortunately =/
Lucas Biermann agreed. I like wranglerstar and his videos, but the nest tested video so far in my opinion was the survival shovel.
he does like to see cheap fail, go out his way to do so. be a good series to have cheap medium and expensive items tested side by side.
that spot on his left index finger was killing me the whole video.
I love how he tries to justify the difference between the two knives even though clearly visible at the end 😁
I always love it when a product works even though you absolutely don’t want it to. I’d buy that knife.
Wonder if it's still available on Amazon 🤔
i believe your problem is you were comparing a 6 dollar knife to a expensive one, you should of chose other cheaper knives and compared them instead of using that one
He wasn't exactly comparing them it's just what he was carrying
I do not agree with that if you have a $200 knife and you bought a $10 knife you would compare them and realize obviously the more expensive one is better but you want to see the $10 potential
I find I use my seat belt cutter on my knife for a lot of different things like zip ties paracord cloths tags ect and it works better for those than the knife blade.
I love when you show your 940. Watching your video on your knife is the reason I checked out the 940 Osborne and eventually saved up enough to buy one. It's my favorite knife I've ever held, used, and carried.
I love this guy's voice. It almost sounds sarcastic but it's actually just excitement and honest surprise.
He's pretty good and fooling most common folk but you best believe his voice is certainly sarcastic.
not too far off the old AVE BOLTR. Just waiting for you to call it a skookum choocher
ikr
Ty Summersett no one will ever replace uncle bumblef*ck.
Ty Summersett The way he said that the scales were ABS plastic made me think he must have spent some time watching everybody's weird uncle himself
WOLTR 🙂
What's BOLTR
My EDC knife is a folder from Frost that has been a pretty darn good knife for many moons and was only $7.99 at my local hardware store.
There's a 1$ knife at walmart
I have the $2 walmart one and the dollar tree one the wallmart one actually performs pretty good and I recommend if you like to use knife as disposabe beater knives. They perform decently cutting just about anything besides zi0 ties. 'My job involves construction at a papermill.
The $3.87 knives at walmart are really good for the price.
@@raphaelbeinhauer9242 the Ozark trail one?
@@eyescream5313 Yes.
This Series is awesome, i would love to see this more! Keep it up WranglerStar!
Friday night after a long week at work, first moment in the week i get to relax and time to myself and Im watching a guy dissect a $6 knife
Same
14:30 lmfao 🤣 “feels pretty tight even after I play with it”
I'm actually impressed. I've had 60 and 80 dollar knives... Honestly these days I keep them under 20. My edc rn was 7.99 from Amazon and it works, is assisted, quick release, and has no plastic externals.
Who among us can't relate to Cody's reaction, "Oh this'll never go back together?" hahaha. Been there a million times!
I'd rather have that screw driver set for $6. :D
my thoughts also
Something like this is good for keeping clipped to the drivers door in your vehicle, just in case you are in a accident, and need to break the glass to get out.
I’ve found that most knives with the glass breaker actually deform when struck against tempered glass and will not bust it. I’ve had many that the point was actually blunt after trying to shatter glass.
Cheapest machete on amazon
Michael O made me lose alot of respect of him tbh
The cheapest machete video is so trash, a bias and senseless video
I had one of the master USA ballistics.I was flipping the knife open to cut something and stop pin broke. Now I have a SOG sideswipe and i love it.
FYI, it's easier to disassemble assisted opening knives in the open position, when the spring is fully extended
nice knife dissection...
*excited to see how the bridge is coming along...
I would definitely rather get an opinel no. 7 for not much more, the steel on an opinel will be far better and their edges are amazingly sharp
Amen! Love my Opinels.
Rob Swinbank the factory edge my opinels came with wasnt really sharp, i had to sharpen like all of them (i got like 4 or 5). i agree with the steel
Right?! Super sharp, real steel and even have a lock. And all of that witha that classic look and its a so much better quality/price buy than these things...
"I would never use a seat belt cutter and a glass breaker but I have bunch of guns in my car just in case" :D
Is that similar to the glass breaker on your backhoe? lol Love these "Cheapest on Amazon" videos by the way, keep them coming please!
Take apart and reassemble assisted knives with the blade deployed but not locked.
got here as fast as I could. but my wife isn't to fond that I get up at 3 am just to watch a guy review a knife I most likely won't get. but nevertheless I'll get up and watch any video you make.
I really enjoy this series!
Nice EDC option. Thanks for the vids.
I'm liking this series, Wranglestar. Keep it up
I love that Kershaw knife tool. I've had one for about 5 years. The only issue with it is the miniscule keyring hole. It's basically impossible to put a different ring in it and the material is so thin there that it eventually wears through. Mine wore through and fell off, but luckily when it finally came off, it just thumped onto the floor in my kitchen and wasn't lost.
Enjoying this series. Any plans to show the repair to the roof on the metal shop?
Liked that you did this series of vids.
This would probably make for a decent first knife for a young person.....fragile enough to teach them not to abuse a knife.....but cheap enough to replace it when they do abuse it.
thatgtkid2ツ yes for sure maby for a beater knife but I don’t recommend this for a first knife .
what is a decent knife for a young person is to earn it himself, he or she will take care of it but in also the knife's reliability...
@@theactusnation2394 look up opinel. They have good quality for really good prices. Also they have children's knives that don't have a sharp tip
Cheap enough to dull instantly and be useless...
If i had to give a knife i would offer a opinel or a swiss army knife if you actually use the bottle opener, can opener and corckscrew
I generally like how you can flick the Benchmade out, lets me go in one motion from pocket to open without a wave feature tearing up my pants.
Every axis lock I have lets you flick them open even the Sanranmu ones.
"Wave" features might be useful if you could open a beer with them.
How cant ask us how much we think something costs when you provided the price in the thumbnail 😂
My new edc is a gerber flatiron loved the design and been carrying it everyday it is wonderful
That knife tool is something I need man , good video very informational on showing all the do-hickies inside the blade !
This one was hard to watch. Testing a pocket knife by trying to break it sideways = cringe.
This wasn’t a real test. The real test would be the week he used it..
I used to EDC these knives all the time in Jr. High, great throw away knife I'd get a new one evry 6 months. Fun stuff.
another great video that helps you learn the truth about cheap tool and knives on Amazon
CRKT uses the plastic bushings also.
Which is finished first: Tractor glass replacement or bridge?
19:20 Let's get medieval with the vice grip... LOL :D
I have a knife similar to this and I love it because the spring assist is nice and strong.
The trick to putting spring assisted knives back together is that you put them back together with the blade in the open position. That's always worked for me.
My favorite affordable edc is the Kershaw leek, USA made, you’re choice of handle (aluminum, steel, carbon fiber etc) at about 40-100 dollars depending on the materials. The leek was designed be a chef, (Ken onion) in collaboration with kershaw, it holds an edge, in the years I’ve had mine the blade has not chipped, rolled, now has it loosened at all. There is no play in it whatsoever. It’s slim, light, affordable, and high quality. I adore it.
Wranglerstat slowly turns into his Canadian cousin, AvE
XGC Scrappy 'who' not 'what'
Where are the good old videos where you actually tested the thing. Not only taking it appart
Ok... I think I know what's going on... it's crummy lol lol that's hillarious!!!
"I'll save that till the end..."
has the price in the thumbnail
Thanks for the review. This cheap knife is very similar to my colt knife which is as loose as heck. I need one of those tools you have.
thanks for the scoop
Nobody expected the $6 knife to beat any benchmade. Love your videos
Love how you said you'll wait till the end to tell us the price then put it in the thumbnail
Could you create a list for the cheapest tests that you do? If you have one, I have not found it in your lists.
I took a knife with a cheep handle like that before and very carefully filled in the gaps in the cheep handle like that one with lecture super glue and put it back together now it feels somewhat better and doesn’t have that cheap hollow feel
My favorite cheap knife is still the Brucks Dynasty. Unfortunately they
are no longer offered by anyone on Amazon, but I bought 1 for $10 and
two for $11.50 a few years ago. Cheap enough that I don't mind if I drop
one while working outside or it gets "borrowed" indefinitely, but
haven't lost any of them yet. The edge can use a touch up every couple
of weeks with moderate use, every week when in heavy use like the start
of trout season or over the holidays when I switch to wood heat while
guests are over.
Swiss soldier here. The reason for the lock on the Victorinox going to the right is because of swiss military training. The first thing we learned when gerting our rifles was to never take our strong hand, the right for most off our rifles. That means if you had to use your knife to cut something while opperating or holding your rifle youd use the knife lefthanded and bacause you have to be able to close it onehanded the knife is somewhat of a lefthanded knife.
Could you put these "cheapest____" videos onto a playlist for us?
Finally another one of these! Been more than a week.
@wranglerstar please try the CRKT m16-10kz and show ur thoughts on it ps i took out the extra safety lock so its not a fixed blade
I carried a knife of this brand for almost 3 years. The steel didn't hold as good of an edge as I would have preferred but it always served me well after I sharpened it. I don't carry it anymore but my cousin does. It cost me 12 dollars
You keep asking how much we think it is but the price was in the thumbnail lol
Ping! Instills fear in the heart of any man who's ever picked anything apart, a jesless spring!
I just purchased three locking folding knives from Walmart “ ozark Trail”. Probably around 3 inch blades they cost less than five dollars each. I’m actually very impressed by them.
I have taken my assisted opening Benchmade (912) apart to clean it. Never again! Lol. I also have the same Osborne you feature in this video. Both are excellent knives.
Great review
I have that same kershaw knife tool and I love it
Cody thank you for taking it apart I would ever be able to put it back together again! My clumsy fingers can't handle those tiny screws! Lol 😆👍☝️👏🏡
I own one with the fire steel very much like it I carried everywhere yes I had to tighten and sharpen it but is my favorite knife in it gets through anything I need and it's only eight dollars it is also illegal it is 3 3/4 of an inch also check your knife laws around you it might be different in Michigan we're allowed to have assisted opening and it has to be under 4 inches to be legal thank you Cody for the review
Where did you get your little knife tool?
Just out of curiosity if you like the pass through design of the scales and spacers, how come you didnt go with the Benchmade 940 with the G10 scales? It also has that same design.
I have the Victorinox Swiss army knife from 2008 I believe which has the same blade locking mechanism and I like it a lot in particular for the fact that it locks to the right since it is pretty hard for a right-handed person like me to accidentally unlock it and possibly cut myself.
I WISH YOU DID SOME BATONNING OR some bush crafting testing with the knife! :)
Great video, very fair assessment and logical criticism. Thanks for keeping the sarcastic remarks to a minimum on this one and portraying the product for what it is.
Congrats on your success on these videos
What's the make and model of your watch
All I needed to hear was that you took points for tip down carry I was like this guy knows what a guy is looking for! Tip up always ... I don't want to pull out my knife just to flip it over again. js
Watching him not set the spring between the plates before putting it back on the blade lol
What is the name/brand of the room your using bro. Thank you
What watch are u wearing?
Just subscribed today, really enjoy the videos
The seat belt cutter is actually pretty beneficial to use with string or paracord ...
I'd you open it whole bunch of times it tears its self àpart. I had one for two dollars from a pawn shop thinking I could go wrong, opened it about 50 times and the screw holding the blade became lose. I could not fix it. The blade started opening too far. Then the blade broke off the handle. Being the McGyver I am, I made it a shank😀
You got a $2 knife to open and close 49 times without incident? You got your moneys worth 🤣
Please reply!!! I bought this knife today and it it decently hard to open with the flipper and because of this it hurts my finger whenever I open it. How can I open this knife without hurting my pointer finger?
Biggest takeaway from this is I can wrist flip my 940 open.
I've been looking for a cheap knife of decent quality to carry in my bunker pants and seems like this fits the bill, and if I lose it it won't break my heart. Although I'll probably never use the seat belt cutter or the glass breaker, from my experience the glass breaker doesn't work, much rather just use my window punch.
The Swiss seem to make a lot of left handed stuff. They had some interesting left handed or "ambidextrous" rifles too.
Can you do a quick review of that Keyshawn knife tool, please.
