Whoa, another Diamond / Pearl / Platinum song, who would have guessed? This one's been requested by a fair few people. This song has a really nice melody, some killer chords, and a B section that's pretty similar to Route 216, actually. Just goes to show the similarities between Go Ichinose's compositions.
I asked Doug if he'd add some vibes to this track, and he graciously agreed! The style of Doug's comping really added some nice harmony to the beginning section, and he's got a killer solo, too. Yeah! Enjoy the track! I think I'll be taking a break from DPPT next week :)

This is one of my favorite covers you've done. I remember my dad taking me to a midnight release for the game. I had school, but the man probably worked 60 hours that week, just to take me to get it. Looking back not only was that so cool of him, but this music from the DS blew my mind coming from GBA.

To be perfectly honest, this is my favourite one since before your Undertale covers. I've always liked some of your older stuff, and this feels like a bit of a return to it. The vibraphone adds a new sound that works perfectly in the context of a serene lake, and I think you had a great idea doing this collab. Good job to Doug on his great playing!

Wonderful choice of collabee, Doug's vibraphone is super neat and I don't think I've ever heard you get one in your covers before like this. Goes without saying, love me these DPPt covers! I played Diamond only once 12 years ago and all these tunes are very fresh as a result

I'll admit it. It was too soon to say that your Jubilife City cover was the best Pokémon cover of 2016. I'd say this one is, but I'm sure you'll blow it away too.
I swear, D/P/Pt had some of the greatest Pokemon soundtracks. I find myself hearing them more than I should. Also great collaboration, it's fantastic. You never fail to amaze me. Keep doing your thing, to both of you guys.

I love how you transformed this theme into something new-- the swing, the instrumentation-- it's awesome! I really enjoyed the interpretation of the original song into something fresh and new. Not to mention percussion competition season for my school just ended (I played vibraphone) and Doug Perry's vibraphone skills are so inspiring! I never learned how to use four mallets at the same time though and I must say it is super mesmerizing. Keep up the awesome work!

I remember sometimes I would just hang around the lake to hear this beautiful theme! It very perfectly fit the Sinnoh trio and their mysteriousness. I was always partial to Uxie myself, but Azelf was a very close second. (Aw hell, who am I kidding, they were all huge cuties)

I would've liked to see the diminished-sounding lydian arpeggio in this one, but that's not really an issue because this is a perfect rendition nonetheless. You always find a way to make a song better than it already is and you're such a skilled musician.
