Hearing about toes over knees and even having toes down a bit on tight berms has done more to improve my cornering in the space of 20 minutes than any lesson I’ve had in the last 5 years! The bike was always getting away from me and I couldn’t work out why. Now I know! Thanks so much!
We're so stoked this helped you!! It's such a small adjustment that makes a world of difference. Congrats on being able to feel this and make the adjustment!
These videos and coaching/teaching points just keep getting better! As does Linnea! PS: After learning Aden was #2 in the world as a barefoot water skier, I half expected him to ride without shoes! :-)
3 way footage at the end is very cool. The advancement in Linneras riding dorm the first video to this one is immense the extra speed that she is now carrying
That discussion about letting the bike get away from you in high G corners is exactly my problem haha. Sometimes it feels like I just get pulled back. Very helpful tips
As much as i love this series as much i hate it... seeing all those amazing Trails in this prestine landscape makes me so jellous! Awesome content as always!
Hahaha thanks Gimlet! We are very lucky to live and coach in the Pacific Northwest, the trails here are world-class. Come visit us sometime! -Kagen, Fluidride Coach
Oh no! I hope those mega gusts have simmered down and you're out ripping the trails on those new brakes Iain! What brake setup did you go with? - Coach Kagen
@@Fluidride Hope tech 3 e4's (£$!) they have been fantastic over the last two months. Weather has improved alot and the trails are pretty prime, few are over grown but that's southwest UK summer, wet from occasional storm and warm so everything grows! Monday night was a.trail clearing night for me.
Woah, L. is so getting so dynamic on the bike in the last part. There were one or three spots where my head was trying to figure how to approach a corner, and L. was through it and away.
Great video! Or should I say series of videos? Anyway, I've seen people saying that we should shift our weight to the rear axle (at least momentarily when we are right at the top of a downslope) when pumping down a trail. Is this true? Do we then shift our weight back to the centre of the bike after this momentary shift to the back in order for us to transfer maximum weight and pressure into the rear wheel to gain speed?
Is it the steepness of the berm that means you don't need footwork? Or is it something else? Feel like I just got that part dialed but now it's not used. When do you use the footwork versus not?
Basically when the rider is fully perpendicular to the berm no footwork is needed. In the first turn they work on, notice that Linnea uses footwork to access the berm at the beginning where it isn't steep, then moves to double foot pressure as it gets steeper and more supportive. This is really a dynamic interplay. Keep in mind that Linnea has had a lot of coaching. With most riders, I'd just ask them to have some footwork because being this dynamic within a given turn with changing camber takes a lot of practice. I hope this helps! -Simon
Great video! Linnea rips! It would have been neat to have Simon following / filming Jason as he recorded Adin to give the edit at the end the total Inception feel.
Haha so true! And the worst part, getting too excited and doing multiple laps and then having to dig yourself out of that hole when you're hungry 🤣 -Linnea
I had the same reaction as Adin when I saw everyone talking about the "new trail" on all the local groups, didn't figure it out until I saw a Strava segment of the trail layout 😅
So great to see linnea ripping, watching her progress has been so inspirational!
Thanks for the kind words, Jesswah!
L is my hero. way to go girl!

Excellent riding!
Thanks Keeno! -Linnea
So good, watching in the garage while fitting new brakes (😍) and itching to go ride that trail, shame I'm in the UK, raining and 50mph gusts today!

Great video! I've never been to the PNW other than in the city of Seattle, and that is some of the densest forest I've ever seen. Wow.
We love our forests for sure! And the trails here are expanding by the week. Come back and ride with us sometime!
Thank you so much for what you do! I always take something from these videos, and my riding improves every time I go out.
We're glad that you're always finding pieces of information to take from our videos! Keep the rubber side down. :) - Coach Kagen
I love these videos, Ive gone from no clue how to jump to not casing as much….I hope for no casing soon !!

You are so gooooood!
Thanks for the support TK! These coaches make all the difference 🤪 -Linnea
i gotta stop braking during berms. the fear gets me and I feel like i might be going too fast. great video and instruction! Thank you!
It can be a tough habit to break! Definitely start slower while you're practicing this. Thanks for watching, Joe!
@@Fluidride Thanks for responding!
Super Nice vídeo and trail, where is this trail?
Thanks Leonardo! This trail is at Tiger Mountain, just east of Seattle, Washington. - Coach Kagen
That's awesome😍
Hey, Adin! Thanks for the jump tips last month.
I'm pumped you had a class with Adin! -Linnea
Epic video!
Thanks for watching!
I love you Linnea!!!
🤣

Do you master manuals now Linnea ?
Ahh hahaha not quite... gotta get back to practicing those! There are just so many skills to work on... where to even start 🤣 -Linnea
