Fans of rock n roll icon Paul McCartney have been speculating all week about a teaser trailer for a new animated track that found its way onto UA-cam, finally in a statement issued today the McCartney Family confirmed what it is all about.
The family today confirm that the leaked track and accompanying animation are part of the #LoveLinda campaign they have been working on alongside the Linda McCartney Foods brand. This is the first time in 15 years that the brand has done TV advertising. The TV advert shows the McCartney family as you have never seen them before in animated form.
Singer songwriter Elvis Costello has provided the voiceover to the animation which in addition to the family, features a host of psychedelic animal characters.
Elvis Costello has been vegetarian since the early 1980s and remembers Linda McCartney and all she strove for; "Linda always talked well and made it seem that you wouldn't be joining a secret weird society by being vegetarian"
Produced by world renowned Passion Pictures, whose other work includes projects for The Beatles and The Gorillaz, the animation transports viewers into a fairy-tale world where characters including Horse boy, Napoleon Dog and Ballerina Cat join the McCartney family in a musical fanfare that culminates with a woodland feast.
Airing for the first time on 28 January, the animation is part of a national #LoveLinda campaign to launch the new range of chilled meat free foods from Linda McCartney.
I love the little things like these that Paul still does for Linda (': You can tell he still loves her unconditionally.

I love Linda McCartney ❤ a very wonderful woman in many different ways, who always set out to inspire the world and show her love throughout her family and nature. Linda always has a special place in my heart, as my Grandad's cousin was the manager for the Animals', and she photographed them, but as well as that I just admire her greatly. She brought out Paul's sunshine once again, after the Beatles' broke up, and he knew with her by his side, he never had to give another care. She showed her love in many ways, through music, art and even food. I love Linda McCartney and I would love to continue to keep her memory alive. ❤

Paul & Linda were a wonderful, loving and talented couple; Elvis Costello is a thoroughly amazing artist and while he hasn't done as much with his lovely & talented wife Diana Krall as one wold hope, what they have done together has been great. And the work that Paulie & EC have done together has also been exceptional. Is there anything that EC can't do?
Linda lives in our hearts, Paul, and forget the muse to inspire such beautiful songs? impossible
A true inspiration for thousand people. Too many people judged her in the past but it's really awesome that her legacy is recognized now for to be more a photographer and a proud mom but also her passion for the nature and fight for the right animals which it wa such a great action when in the last century, few people didn't interested in these topics. She always will live because of her legacy.

There are meat free meals that taste amazing, and you can get proten in many other ways from vegetables, graind, nuts, seeds, beans, soy... I hope we get these in the states. I miss Linda

Heart of the Country is by far one of my favorite Paul McCartney songs - not saying this isn't good, kinda like how he arranged it like Everybody's Gonna Dance Around Tonight (or whatever that one's called from the Starbucks disc), and how he brought in elements of Dylan.
But, the wide open spaces of the original arrangement and the purity of the younger man's voice - wow.
Hope Linda's stuff does well though!

Excellent! Finally...and the world at large will re consider animals and their torture as food and vote "No" with their purchases. Vegans lets assist in thr success of this brand...
I think it's about being more animal-friendly. Treat them in a humane way, give them a life to live. And a quick, painless death.

Dear Phil, 75% of Indians are vegetarian. I lived in India for many years and I have also been a vegetarian for 30 years. The thinking that protein only comes from meat, or the best protein only comes from meat is outdated knowledge. There is a wealth of knowledge about this today as vegetarianism/veganism spreads in popularlity.
Because some people become vegetarian simply because they don't want to kill animals, they still like meat but they just decided to stop eating it. There are vegetarian foods that taste like meat but aren't meat just for those kind of vegetarians who still like the taste of meat.
OK, your opinion is your opinion and all, but I've spent a lot of time near farms, and a pig isn't smarter than my German Shep.

I once bought some Linda McCartney frozen veggy burgers. They were cooking in the frying pan for ages. When I took them out of the pan they looked exactly the same as when I first out them in. And they tasted horrible. Never did that again.
If being a vegetarian is what it’s all about, why are they all eating what clearly resembles hamburgers? (0:10-0:18)

Some of her products are vegan friendly, some not. Some of her products use egg :( Maybe the new stuff will be vegan. I hope so.
If God had meant for people to be vegetarians, he wouldn't have made animals out of meat and Bacon would never have been invented. Meat is good food!
