Valve outsourcing even more. At some point updates for VAC will come from the workshop.
Community made knives was a feature mentioned in the original Arms Deal update, it's just no one has ever made one worthy of being put into the game.
Problem?
Time and time again we have seen that the community for a game not just csgo does better coding work then the actual devs so I honestly wouldn't mind of the community made the VAC update
that's not totally fair. Valve has been allowing the community to make skins for an entire decade. If anything, it's weird they haven't allowed players to make their own skins for knives and gloves yet.
Also, if an item you submit to the workshop is added into the game, you get paid VERY handsomely, especially if the case your skin is in is popular.

Pfft. The fact that they even bothered to port CSGO to source 2 is already more work than they've done in the past 8 years. They are content to do absolutely nothing forever as they make infinite money. It's the reason TF2 has both problems and the same with the garbage new CS2 and its countless problems.@@JarinCOD

this is actually very interesting not only we would get more skins but also people can get creative and make something crazy just like new gloves and knife patters can you imagine like gloves with phases like glock and knifes have would love to see new crafts from the community
On the contrary, having good looking skins being pumped out more often will destroy the skins market as existing skins will depreciate in price and collectors will flee leading to a crash in skins market. It’s good that we are sticking to the old skins as it provides stability and a healthy growth rate for skins market in general. Valve should only increase the release of new cases and design when CS2 is hitting its plateau just like how the U.S. fed should only print more money and increase the money supply to boost demand and increase economic activities; otherwise, hyperinflation would result in total catastrophic market failure as demonstrated in countries like Venezuela.
I think if valve add too much skins / finishes people will have so many options that the skins market overal will go down in value because there will be a lot of options for the same demand making skins harder to sell / trade affecting then the price.

valve won't release 1000 skins for knives and gloves in one day. as usual it will be 1-2 new cases per year. so if market goes down because of skins variety, it won't happen soon

for gloves it would make the most sense imo considering no different glove models share the same skin for knifes it would be weird having an karambit gungnir for example but not being able to get it on an M9 for example
It's about time. I really thought they should've gone the Workshop route with the Kukri knife just to start things off fresh in CS2 -- or at least released the Doppler skeletons and whatnot. Oh well, we'll see where they go.
Really glad I got rid of all my "usual pattern" knives and gloves, and only kept things that felt unique. And of course, Dopplers and Vanillas always look good in any case.
Prinstream Sport Gloves are a must in my opinion... Just too easy and too amazing-sounding.

I hope there won't be too many of the same skins as on weapons for skins for knives and gloves. For example, all printstream variants on knives and gloves look cheap
cool, what about gameplay, cheaters, maps, modes, etc ? I don't care if they add or not knives. I want to play the game and I don't have thousands to spend on skins
These are 2 diffrent teams any way. A person working on skins is not working on anticheat, gameplay etc.
Creating skins is much easier than working on anticheat or gameplay
Dude, it's been 8 years since the last original pattern for knife, I don't think making community made knives would slow down the balancing team, Valve just sucks and won't balance the game better

Valve really should add Duality Gloves. If you are a skin designer please make a Duality Glove that is 2 different colors.
I absolutely love the way Valve empowers their players. This is the future of gaming, players partaking in the actual content of the game. Forge used to be a big deal, but this blows Forge out of the water.

bruhhhh 2-3 Indian server did this in CSGO community servers... i remember some of the regulars had crazy custom skins and they did it from their website they even did fortnite emotes these were in the server form 2021............ EU did not do this WeW

Can we get an ANTICHEAT first, so ppl who actually play the game can play ? Sure, only thing keeping the game alive are skins, but there are ppl who actually want to play not trade etc.
