I love these and am going to make them. Just relax. Perfection isn't necessary. Encourage students to stay loose and enjoy exploring. This is handmade which has its own beauty. Your playing was GREAT! at the end. Don't under-estimate how hard that is for some.
Such a beautiful touch! I think I'll make a cut-out template/stencil to lay over the tags and mark the 4 corners with dots and then connect the dots free hand. We'll see how that goes! Thank you, Robin.
Love it! They are art in of themselves! I usually make them as strips but this way I can keep a swatch with the journal I'm making & selling. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Robin, I literally yesterday told my husband I wanted to incorporate watercolors into my Junk Journals because I am a watercolor artist. Thank you for sharing your Art and the Inspiration from the Artist you have followed,
Robin, I had seen a few of these done previously, and figured I had to give them a try for myself. I just LOVE yours and yes, the colors once dried are beautiful, and your instructions, about perfect! Thanks.
I love it all, but really loved that MINI version (in the spooky page). fantastic~! have watercolor paper soaking in coffee slurry right now. WOOHOO excited to try this. Thanks, Teresa in AZ
I love these! I saw the thumbnail picture and was intrigued. I have even made a template for the little rectangles, so I can create to my heart's content! TFS x
What a fantastic idea! I'm a watercolor artist and make paint swatches for fun. I never would have thought of using them this way. So unique and fun! Thank you for sharing and inspiring me.
Goodness me! I feel so blessed to see your demonstration appear on my UA-cam page. I just love your idea and needed to see this for my little journal and for giving the ones I will make as little tokens to my journal friends. Thank you!🥰🌷🦋💚 Thank you so so much!
saw this video last night and LOVED it (especially coffee-dyed first) and did my first attempt today. WHOA! I am finishing up a cowboy/painted desert journal and made two desert colored swatch strips. I could not be more pleased. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
First time on your site. Those paint chips made me stop and look. I will be back. Your work is beautiful. I want to paint a canvas painting and the paint chip collaged along the front side. I love the wavy line paint chips.
Why not make a little stencil? That would be so easy, I have just done freehand squares too to make these, and guess at the alike size . Hugs. Maggie ❤️🤗🇨🇦❤️

You're welcome thank you so much for watching!
If you add rubbing alcohol to your coffee mixture, it shouldn't mold. 😊
Oh that’s interesting. 100% rubbing alcohol or?
@@robindudleyhowes I use 91%. Thanks.
Hi there, I have a question you might know how to answer. Since coffee is acidic is there a way to make it less acidic?
@@gigiartstudiowithartistvir3919 by adding bicarbonate soda to the coffee mix.
@@penelopemarshall6320Thank you! :)

Hi, thank you for watching!
Very pretty
Thanks!
I. LOVE these! However I can’t find the template you mentioned…….
Love these
Thank you Chrissie!
I made some on watercolor paper that was not coffee dyed. Just to get a couple made…they came out cute.
Awesome!
Love this project. I took leftover watercolor paper and cut a rectangle template and traced. I hate measuring too.
So glad you like it. I know measuring is a pain but I do like the organic look from not using a template.🙂
The way I trace, it's organic,LOL.@@robindudleyhowes
I prefer a regular paint brush, I don’t like the results of the water brush , totally my opinion, to each his own right?
