I love what you are doing here. I have gotten into Mixed Media lately and this will work well to tell a story. Thank you for posting. Looking forward to what you do next.
So creative and unique! I love the look of these paper netting pieces. I might try making a specific size and attaching it to the front of a notecard. I certainly have lots of supplies like pictures from discarded coffee table books from the library, dictionary pages, etc. Could do a picture one and mount it on some interesting scrapbook paper...Endless possibilities! Thank you for sharing this ultra-cool idea!
Thank you for sharing your technique. I tried this and it didn't go well. I didn't think of glueing the papers and threads first. That makes so much sense. 😊❤I'll definitely try this again.
Your welcome! After watching my video others have come up with other ways of doing this; including using a water pen or just soaking the whole thing after gluing the paper. Experiment and have fun with it😉🩵💛🧡
New subbie here. You came up on my feed, and it sounded intriguing. Very cool idea. I shall give this a go tomorrow. I think dark cut out page against a light background or plain against pattern. J like the one with pattern background and cut outs to show the pics. Very cool. Tyfs. Sending greetings from New Zealand
I am finally doing this. Waiting for my glue to dry and today is a wet drizzly day so it’s taking a while. Mine is going into a botanical altered book and I have used a couple of the pages that were removed from the book so it keeps with the theme. My back ground will be some eucalyptus leaves that I have painted using watercolour. I am so excited to see the end result. Thank you so much for showing this very unique project. 💖
Wow, they really change with the different papers in the background!!!! I love this idea!!!!! There is defintly no right or wrong witih this one! They all turned out GREAT!!!!!!
Oh my! I absolutely love to go off the beaten path into mixed media crafting. These are phenomenal! The sky is the limit for variations! From antique, to grunge, to garden and nature, to steam punk, to neurographic art, to child themes! New subbie! ❤
I saw a British artist (Louise Jannetta?) do this with string and large sheets of tissue paper a while back. She said she was making paper lace. That seems simpler to me rather than sewing. It’s ALL interesting!

I love this. It's gorgeous. I don't machine sew. Not mechanically inclined and those I know who do sew say the machines they have are not designed for this. That said, I might try it for for fun with hand sewing. Likely would only do one page cuz I wouldn't have the patience to hand sew multiple pages. Thank you for making this video.
