+yemieko Absolutely not! Have you ever heard of Ennio Morricone, by any chance? He is a very famous Italian film composer from waaayy before Josh Groban's time, who composed this music for the film... MALENA. Ennio Morricone produced this entire album for Hayley. These were the first lyrics she wrote for the album, which he approved, and encouraged her to write more.

Yes, he did that song before Hayley got to do hers... she was only just starting her career in New Zealand back then, and nobody outside that region of the world even knew who she was, so she literally couldn't have done so. If you look at the credits to the song in his album, it shows that the composer was Ennio Morricone. It's an Italian film, so not very well-known to many, but it still existed a long time before Josh sang his song.
