There seems to be some misconception regarding my views on the newspaper. You should definitely read the newspaper as regularly as possible. All I'm trying to emphasise is that you read it only from Mains / personality building perspective. For that, editorials are sufficient. There are things like summaries of ARC reports etc. that you can read for this purpose as well. Obviously at the beginning, it won't be possible to read newspaper editorials in 15 minutes. But that should be the ultimate goal.
People need to understand that whatever he has said in the video is what HE felt worked for him or works for him, and what HE thinks would be the right thing to do. One does not have to follow it blindly. Use logic always. For instance, I like reading The Hindu because it works as a stress buster for me & I like being abreast with whatever’s happening around me. If I find a very interesting/helpful (important from exam PoV) point or piece of information I note it down quickly (but it’s rare). He is cent percent right in saying that reading newspaper for Prelims at the expense of Static is counter-productive. All said and done, spending more than 20-30 mins on newspaper merits introspection.
I don't know if you will ever see this, But this is the first time someone has highlighted the things I have always been believing in. Thankyou so much.
Normally I do not comment but people need to hear this. Last year, maine har din newspaper padha aur PT-365 kiya. Newspaper ka kuch bhi yaad nahi raha. Aur jo current ke ques bane wo PT se bane. Aur mera galat kya hua? Economy ke ques aur Hokera (Harike). To realisation ye hua ki agar ye static wale 3-4 ques sahi ho jate to pre to nikal jata. Mains ke jo ques hai wo current based aate hain, but static portion se hi. Aur sab jab Mains-365 hi kar rahe hain to aap apna load kyun badha rahe ho? Over all of that, aap current static karne ke baad karo zyada samajh aayega, zyada retention hoga aur consolidated rahega. New aspirants don’r know how liberating it is to not have to fret on “are abhi monthly mag bhi karna hai, daily CA bhi karna hai.” Har din current nahi karne se sirf itna hi hoga ki aapka dost agar kisi issue pe opinion puchega to wo aapke pas nahi hoga but Remember, you will have the last laugh. Savdhan rahein, satark rahein.
So I guess the best strategy is- 1. Daily newspaper reading from Mains perspective- focus only on editorials for vocabulary and holistic views on issues 2. PT 365 - in detail for prelims
My friend also reached interview 2 times without reading newspaper. And he got good marks in GS. Low in optional. Working Professional. Aspirants are too emotional for newspaper. It depend on how much time you have and also whether you like reading it or not.

Let's talk about building your personality which AUA has not highlighted much. Remember this exam is about relative marking. First, Opinion building cant be done in 15 days. Why does that matter? @@simmi1308 Just reading newspaper is not a good option as you may not be able to remember anything after some point of time. Therefore notes making is important from whatever you are trying to read. Further whatever you have made would be in your words, so you would have a connection with it and it becomes easy to remember and recall. People need to realise that what he said works only if your reading speed is fast and you can retain a lot in single reading otherwise this doesn't work. For him it works because he has practiced it for years as he is a medical student. If you haven't read newspaper and last minute do the pt365 then it feels too bulky, time is less also you aren't able retain much. If you effectively and shortly read newspaper daily and selectively read monthly vision magazines then you retain more and also there is less anxiety at last moment because you have already covered the CA of whole year, you don't have to read pt365 or mains 365 again you can just skim through the index for anything new and use this last minute time to give mock tests. Evaluate yourself for what category of student you are and then follow the strategy accordingly. One size never fits all.

I know its a very basic question, but i keep having this FOMO that whether what i am reading is relevant or not, do i need to memorize it or not, is this even the best source or not. After watching this, i am going to sit and decode pyq. Theres no point studying 12 hours a day when doing it in some random direction. In this regard, it'd be beneficial if you could highlight the best possible sources. Very basic, but it'd help relieve FOMO.

Can you make a video on economy for prelims
Miyawaki technology is not in pt 365.......
Bro need to ask how did you wrote the James Webb answer in mains... We know .10 marks we will to write but for that huge word limit and mark can't find the way so do that ..plz help buddy ..😊
Rather than being a strategy video moreover this was a Roasting session😂😂😂😂
Just wait for the next video on how to read PT 365.
@@ClarityforUPSCbyDr.Shivin omg I got a reply💙. You are my favourite guide sir. I just differed from your view in this video. Also my optional is anthropology as well. Will be immensely greatful if you release a strategy on that as well.

Miywaki aur biorock kahi mila hi nhi pt365 mai?!hl from were do u got plz reply
Sir please can you tell where can I get mrunal sir notes
I know its a very basic question, but i keep having this FOMO that whether what i am reading is relevant or not, do i need to memorize it or not, is this even the best source or not. After watching this, i am going to sit and decode pyq. Theres no point studying 12 hours a day when doing it in some random direction. In this regard, it'd be beneficial if you could highlight the best possible sources. Very basic, but it'd help relieve FOMO.
Thanks 🙏..I hv just started to prepare for UPSC and I had planned not only to read each day 2 News Paper (TH & IE) but also one Newspaper (TH) of last 4-5months (upto Jun-July 2022 to cover what I skipped unintentionally). I had found these old PDF stored in some telegram channel 😄
I bow my head to you.... You saved my 1 attempt as I was going to commit a himalayan blunder (I had planned 4 hrs only to cover 3 News Paper each day (2 of day to day and 1 Old (TH) of last 4 months..... हम भी क्या महान आत्मा हैं यार ओऽह! क्या-क्या फालतु प्लान कर लिये थे 😄
But you came as saviour brother 🙏and now I'm telling my self " बेटा! तु तो बच गया नहीं तो UPSC के बवंडर में कहां उड़ जाता पता नहीं" 😄
Bro! Now I say "this is where mentorship and right guidance needed for a new aspirant like me" who has committed himself to prepare online for this EXAM from a remote village of India to achieve something big in a small life.
Now onwards, 30-45 Min will be my target for reading 1 NP (CAL😊 दिल है कि मानता नहीं 😉) only to be aware as what is happening around or to make an opinion on something to write in Mains exam..... Yes ! for Prelim, Vision PT 365 Jindaabad aaj se
Thanks.... Thank You So Much
