Very true. I'm an iPhone user for years. One time I complained to apple website under comments about "not having" after years and years of development they still don't have a picture preview on iTunes, and whenever you transfer info they wipe off everything in order to just add some new pictures or audio files. A minute later, my message was deleted from their review page, and received an automated e-mail about it saying "sorry for your inconvenience..." and that's it. So if you wonder why they have only good reviews, is because they delete all the complains and keep only the reviews from those primitive people that like their phone because they only use it to call and receive calls, take picture without ever trying to transfer them to the PC or other devices, or they feel special just because they use the apple brand name.
I moved from a Android to IPhone user and experienced the multiple contacts, this video was PERFECT!!! I completed the task of removing the duplicate contacts, and it saved me a lot of unnecessary time, trying to do this from my iPhone. TY

I’m a Samsung girl, but need a change. Went to iPhone…. Don’t really care for it, to me it’s more locked down, more steps to do simple things. but I spent money on the phone and watch so I’ll deal with it for a while 😒 this helps so thanks for the video….p.s the only thing I will say it’s pictures and videos are better and sometimes games other then that Samsung 😘

THANK YOU FOR THIS! For some reason when I bought a new iphone in 2016, it dumped over 2,000 contacts to my phone. I've lived with this all this time and today I bought a new iphone 14. I asked the sales person "is their a way to delete more than one at a time" and she said...yes...go on icloud on your computer. And you showed me how. Thanks Danied!

That right click drop down box (4:19) is because you used Control instead of Command. If you'd used Command you would have gotten the same effect without the dropdown box. (Mac-specific)

This is the most helpful video ever! I once deleted hundreds of the contacts through the iCloud using the computer, but it didn't remove them from my iPhone. The next time it backed up, they all were back in the cloud. I think they do that on purpose because they're constantly trying to upsell more storage - and I refuse to pay for that!
Wow. This was easy! I was doing them one by one and figured there MUST be a better way. Watched another video and installed a 'free' program. It did allow me to delete 10 duplicates, then wanted me to buy the ap to do any more. I uninstalled it and found this video. Thanks so much! I just finished cleaning it all up.

I just wanna state that Ctrl + click at once on each contact you want to delete works too, it even works better than the holding shift + click... I was using an "hp" btw, don't know if it will work for all type of computer.👍

do i turn off contacts first in the iphone then delete the icloud contacts or leave the contacts on and then delete in the icloud? Im trying to make sure my iphone reflects the changes on icloud. Like after i delete the contacts from icloud how do i make sure my iphone has the same number of contacts that were deleted from the cloud?
Daniel great tutorial. I just want you to update the information for Windows, the correct bottom to click is Ctrl not Shift. If you use Shift is going to mark all contacts if you want skip contacts you have to use Crtl.

iCloud doubled over 400 my contacts and I need a real automated removal or merge of duplicates.
This method is useless.
This method does NOT work for me on my 13 pro max. All of my contacts are in my phone app 5 times each! But nothing in my contacts app.

Actually you don’t need a computer to do this. You can do this from you phone too. Just simply use two fingers simultaneously and scroll up from a contact and you’ll see that all the contacts you had your fingers on have been marked. Hope this helps.

Hi Daniel, I've follow step by step your recomendation and deleted a selcetion of contact at Icloud level. But when i check on my Iphone 14, all old contact are still in the list. How proceed to replicate Icloud delete to Iphone ? Many thanks for your advice

Thank you for this. I followed the instructions and was able to delete duplicates on the laptop but I still see the contacts on my phone. I restarted my phone but it didn’t update the deleted version of my contact list

“It’s actually very easy”…. Um actually it’s really not… what a nightmare. These programmers get paid billions and can’t come up with efficient ways to eliminate a problem only exclusive to their apple devices. Samsungs are honestly light years ahead of apple.

You don’t need a computer no more all you need to do it use two fingers slide down the contacts the. Haptic Touch after all are highlighted and you will see it say delete the amount of contacts you selected

It’s Ctrl for PC to select individual items, isn’t it? And is this a good way to batch delete emails?
I believe it’s shift for PC and yes you can do this with emails, photos, etc.

I have IOS 16.5.1 and iphone 14pro max, still it doesn’t finds duplicate contact which is a feature by default, called and visited the support team several of times but the issue wasn’t resolve but some trouble that never worked
I was searching to this kind of video unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I keep searching finally I find easy way press contact then press groups press unselect yahoo mail contact and keep the iPhone contacts.
When I log in to iCloud (Windows), it does not show the multiple contacts that it shows on my ioS phone. I have shut my phone off several times and still showing multiple contacts, but every time I log in to iCloud it does not show the multiple contacts it is showing on my iPhone so that I may delete them. Suggestions, why not showing up in my iCloud but showing multiples in my iPhone? Thank you

I found out while doing this that you can click on the last one while holding the shift key and scroll all the way to the top to select everything at once,

I have 2 email account on my i phone. Whenever i want to save a contact, i want to save it on my phone not on my emails, for example in samsung note 8 whenever i save a contact it shows some options like save it on phone, sim,email 1 and email 2. But in i phone there are no options and the worst thing is one of the emails have I shared with my family for some reasons , so when i save a contact they can see it too from their phones. Please help
