And ask any old timer...it has been toned down drastically! In the old decade days it felt like a warzone!
Yup! It was way more nuts until around the early 2000s, and since then it has slowly toned down! Ask any Filipino above 30 years old and they will tell you the same thing!
So true and it last longer
crackers were banned slowly by the government and the inflation also hits hard
Sure it was! Our neighbors used to burn car tires on the street and use it as a fire starter for fireworks. Every house in our neighborhood would spend thousands (Philippine peso) for those. It decreases when the govt starts discouraging the whole nation in using fireworks due to casualties if not, fatalities, accidental fires and harm to our environment. Rather spend money on foods or gifts. Makes sense actually.
Yes 😂 absolutely 🎉🎉🎉🎉😅
This is why a lot of Filipinos around the world return home for Christmas and New Year in the Philippines...
True. Months before "ber months" we all make bookings for a cheap flight home just to celebrate our most special celebration of Christmas and New Year with our families and friends. it's been part of our culture. I think our way of celebrating Christmas and New Year tops around the world. 🎉
@@melitamenorias8283Filipinos literally invented "Christmas Creep"! Other countries are just starting to copy us! 🤣🤣🤣
@@mrconfusion87nagclaim nanaman tayo, lol
Hahah false @@mrconfusion87
My Aussie husband was so amazed when we were there in 31 December 2022, and his 1st time to witness how NY is celebrated in the 12MN Philippines ushering 2023...same as your reactions.
I'm from Perú, and Lima the capital city City the other cites is like Manila in New Year and Christmas, respect for the filipinos 🇵🇪🤝🇵🇭
Lima is better than manila, trust me
@@XpitchaXthat's your opinion
@@XpitchaXno need to pit against each other. We know Manila is not perfect, but we love this great city. I’m Manilenyo/Manileño by the way. Peace.
Both philippines and peru new year is about the same there's just more fire crackers in the philippines
@Bask8t6608 no we don't trust you. I've been there
That's actually a toned down version. When I was a kid, it's like bazookas and machine guns rumbling everywhere hours before ringing the new year. I miss Metro Manila.
I agree with you 💯 👍 👌 👏 🤩😍💜🩵💙❤️🩷💛💚🧡🤣😅😂
yep, best new year experience was the year 2004 and 2005
as someone who experienced being in the middle of a gun zone (somewhere in Mindanao) I always hated new year. I even made myself a small soundproof room by taping newspaper on my doors and windows lol. Thankful with how it toned down now. Back in early 2000 it was crazy loud and all night long.
bro fr a war zone after that alot are sent in the hospital due to firecrackers some has no hands anymore due to little firecrackers that are lit by kids and picked it and the legendary boga and loud bazooka like boom 💥 💀 i missed it but it was dangerous piccolo and five stars where notorious and the good bye philippines
Thank You For Respecting Our Country! 🎉🇵🇭
Phillippines is a "CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR" capital of the world...
No... That is false statement...😊
@@randymanuel8257 that's my own opinion...
@@randymanuel8257well, about that. AFAIK, the Philippines is the only country to start celebrating Christmas in September (songs on August) until the Sunday of Epiphany and some ends on the third week of January due to festivities like Fiesta de Santo Niño de Cebu. What OP says fits the bill.
For real, i can't even imagine not celebrating those Days here in the Philippines😂❤
@@-...................-fuck september its wayyy earlier every year! Mariah's song gets blasted way too much
Philippines celebrates the best during Christmas and New Year in the whole world. 🇵🇭❤️
ITS IS 9:26 in USA Dec 30 20023
Hahahaha yeah and asking the ninang for Christmas gift , tapos wala maibigay NANI....hahahahaha
😆I love how you guys are hurrying and so excited like little kids. Truly you are in the Philippines. Most of those fireworks are coming from the homes. Hope you enjoyed your stay and will live here. Mabuhay and God bless! Happy 2024! 🤗🇵🇭
masaya tlga ang christmas at new year sa philippines
ah ganun
I'm in Cyprus I miss my home Philippines ❤🎉
It is crazier than I remember back in the 90s. The fireworks were so loud that I couldn’t hear the scream of my brother right beside me. Also, as a kid at that time, New Year was very traumatizing. At first, it was a lot of fun. But as time went by, it seemed like non-stop and the fun slowly turned to fear. Maybe because I was just a kid then. You also started to hear gunshots, which made it even scarier.
I can relate, torture sa tenga kapag bata pa, ganun siguro pakiramdam ng pets.
Ka uuwi ko lang galing ng Pilipinas. Nag celebrate ako doon ng Christmas at New Year.
The best talaga literal na Warzone kapag new year dagdag mo pa Ang motor show😂
Oo nga Po eh hahahaha may dagdag pa pong torotot 😂😂😂😂😂
Nakita ko yun daming umiikot na motor.
Dagdag pa fountain at sinturon ni Hudas
Ratratan nang mga paputok para bukas wala nang kamay, paa o mga daliri
Overheat na motor kinabukasan nasira☠️
Fourth of July has some work to do! 🤣
Happy New Year Biscuit Bois & Ducky!
Remember fireworks are heavily restricted during this time so it's much crazier back then
Yeah back then was the best, literal WW2 vibes.
Sa pilipinas lang talaga meron tradition sa new years day...masaya talaga sa pinas! Buong bayan makikita mo ang galak tuwa at saya pagdating sa new years day...🙏kaya mga porenir gusto nila ang pinas pagdating sa ganun occation
Wla n ko paki, sayang pera
This is why a lot of filipinos around the world return home for Christmas and New Year in the philippines..❤
Thats why it's more fun in the Philippines 🎉
Yup! I missed that, I had to head back to the states 3 weeks early. But next time I will stay. Thank you for providing the video. And you are right, 4th of July has some work cut out. Awesome!
the philippines is very chaotic in the sky and ground once its midnight in jan 1st and yes, i live there
New years fire cracker celebration in the philippines has already been watered down compared back in the 90's or 80's , back then it was so loud that the ground was shaking and thinking it was world war 2 in europe.
we even had firecrackers that have funny names , like super pla pla (which basically has enough gunpowder to become a triangular paper version of a hand granade) hehehe
That’s how Filipinos welcome the new Year 😅😅!! Fireworks 💥 in every places / every houses / every cities / every provinces all over the Philippines 🇵🇭 😅😅
Dabest pa rin tlga sa Pilipinas kahit anong manyare, I miss it a lot.
In the Philippines making noise in New Year became a tradition. It is believed that the noises scares away bad spirits coming into the New Year and also gets rid of Bad Luck for the New Year
Filipino Christmas 🎄and New Year 🎇 celebration is so Amazing and proud Pinoy here ☺️🥰
As my friend likes to call it. The yearly traditional night of anarchy. XD
A festive version of the Purge!
we really celebrate a lot for Christmas and New Year every year. This is usually our time to be with everyone we love... family, relatives, friends and special someone! 🥰
The whole Philippines Warzone everyyear,Happy New year
Awesome!!!! Thanks for capturing this moment😃
sa Pilipinas sobrang nakakamangha🇵🇭
at Philippines so much amazing 🇺🇸
When I was a kid, we used to create bomb from firecrakers that didn't explode and we used to throw it up in the air with stone on it as detonator. It explodes like a grenade. Fun times. Now in BC, Canada, it's just so boring.
Thats Philippines and im proud ❤
Who watching this on new year right now ❤❤❤❤
They were watching from where we live.In Quezon City. The NYE countdown always are spectacular 360 degrees.
New Year's fireworks in the Ph had been drastically toned down since the early 2000. I remember in the 80s fireworks starts at around 7pm...climaxing at 11:50-12:15 but there'll be some sporadic fireworks until 2-3am. 😊
Yup! Just about any Filipino in their 30s and up can attest to this!
"4th of july has some work to do" XD
it did and it was underwhelming
Great moments captured with great people. Thank you.
happy new year frackers!!!!!!!
Philippine New Year's celebrations are different than anywhere else in the world, as each individual and household takes part in the revelry. Though as already mentioned, it is not like the same as in the old days (due to stricter government regulations). I am old enough to remember those days growing up, where Manila and every urban center in the country is like a warzone, I tell you. Nonetheless even if today's celebrations are less intense than before, it is still unique. Hope you enjoyed, happy new year to you all! 🍻
Absolutely yes !!! 🙌 I'm from the same generation 🤣😂🤣🤩😍🤩😍💖🩷❤️💜
Wow Metro Manila fireworks ! Thank you for the joy 🤟

Back in the day, much louder much foggier I even had damaged eardrum once because of too much loudness, that year was my first in Manila after moving from province.

We have the best New Year in the whole new world
I remember watching this. Video last year and hoping to watch another episode for this year's celebration. How time flies. Rockwell Makati version is also spectacular so as Moas
I miss this! In America it's very quiet, sad and boring😂
It's been 9yrs of quiet New Year 😢
Wow na wow!🤩😍🤩😍
In Silay City ( City in Negros Island )
There's so much smoke the flies go Extinct😅
My ears were decimated from the noise
I wish i was on the top of a building so i could see the Fireworks😅

New year celebration still gives me goosebumps till this day
That's our filipino culture...christmas n new year are big celebration
From the philippines and the happy new year we always get torotot that you can make sounds and lot of because you can make them sounds as fireworks and everything on the philippines❤ because i live from philippines i know everything❤❤❤❤❤
That's Filipino for you, New Year's Eve won't go without such noise
It's only in the Philippines I love my country 😍☺️
That's how we celebrate New Year
I've experienced the fireworks before they started a big ban on them, it's been toned down but it's still beautiful
In our place we no longer practice that kind of fireworks we only use torotot or bamboo cannons but it’s already a tradition specially in urban areas….
I love the Philippines!!😄
So your first new year in the Philippines...I miss those new years when everywhere was like warzone .
This is why I miss spending the new year in the Philippines. As others have mentioned, it has indeed been toned down more recently. When I was a kid, we had to wear a face mask just so we can go to the street to celebrate just because the smoke was so bad!
Happy new year for the world let's go to Philippines
New years fireworks shows in the last couple of years have been toned down by alot! Back in 2005-2009 every street corner is a warzone. Everybody has fireworks and every uncle, teenage boys and boys threw fireworks at each other and many many more. It is both exciting and dangerous at the same time. Plus, back then the fireworks starts from as soon as there is no sun(6:00pm) to 4:00am in the morning. Nowadays it just stops at 12:30am
Yeah..New year nowdays has been a bit boring but safer.
Thank you guys to capture a new year here in Philippines it's very epic
Nice!...amazing!...BCG is the best!.. Happy new year!...
You should bring your family here too during christmas...d

Happy New Year 🎊🎊
Wow amazing ❤
This is very very mild. Back in the 90s its like WW2 hahahaha
In the 1980's sometimes at daytime it looks like almost nightime due to the volume of firecrackers set off.
