Thanks Dustin, I brokered a deal on a very nice 9700 a few years ago, passed through my hands and on to Saskatchewan. Would look nice here about now lol. Keep the videos coming, need some in depth on the X sleds. Turbopete.
They are fun sleds for sure Pete! I have been riding mine some the last several years. It always turns a lot of heads. I will definitely be doing a series on the X sleds!

Awesome sled and thank you for the under hood view!!! 🙌🏻
Great sled but have to correct two things @45 9500 not 7500 and @155 a three ramp roller not a power bloc clutch. Also Skidoo came out with "H" ramps which lelped the belt problem. Another we did was put track clips on the inside and out side of the sliders which helps the clip problem.
Thanks Don, I proofed that video after I made it and realized I misspoke on the 9500. You are right about the clutches too. The Power-bloc was on the fan cooled 80’s sleds correct??
@@skidoojunky6230 Great video I was working at a Skidoo dealer at the time so thats why I know about the 9700 .The type 534 was a strong engine and when the 85 Plus came out they had changed to a type 537 with the porting changed a bit so they could use a single pipe This winter of 23 24 reminds me of 82 83 and into 84 and it,s lack of snow
My time at a dealership started in the fall of 92 and went thru 2000. I am much more versed on the 90’s and 2000’s sleds for that reason. I was 7 when the 9700 came out lol. My dad had a 1980 5500, 7500 and 9500. I remember him talking about the 9700 like it was some urban folklore legend…lol
Man what a time capsule thanks again
The absolute coolest sleds in your shop.
Nice sled i had a 1980 9500 Blizzard
Thanks again for the cool vintage Doo spotlight 👍
Love it!!!
Of course we want to see under the hood, just like looking at old muscle cars it's the heart of the machine.

I'm missing the patina part lol..
Trust me when I say this sled is VERY nice but if you saw it up close and personal my patina comment would make more sense.
Thanks again for another great video just out of curiosity does that sled still turn over after all these years
Yes it does, with plenty of compression as well.
You had no snow in the 80's? You're based out of where?
I am in east central illinois. We got very little snow in the early 80’s as did several parts of the upper Midwest.
