my father in law Raymond Raby bought a 1971 triple 797 blizzard free air skidoo from bombardier racing team i think in Barrie Ontario got there drove all the way from smooth rockfalls Ontario yes lookup smooth rockfalls Ontario its way up north...moores garage was a bombardier dealer in smooth rockfalls Ontario and a very good friend of my father in law. he drove all the way down to Barrie and took the skis off the skidoo and put the blizzard in the trunk of the big delta 88.and drove all the way up north like that.he was the first guy from hearst ontario to cochrane ontario to race a tripple yes he cleaned everything in sight.remember 1971 triples where un heard of up north in those days.he would attract loads of people looking at this machine anyways just wanted to share this with you guys...yes machine was bought from bombardier racing team.
I remember seeing the 1st consumer RVs..75-76.. my eye's bugged out, thinking they just started production of their winning race sleds. They were nothing like the old blizzards from just a few years earlier.
That TNT is very close looking like the Blizzard 1974 Sno Pro 645 triples F/A Yvon Duhamel was Racing with... and that's Moto-Ski SR 1973 look very nice. The Blizzard 1977 440 L/C was also build for Oval Racing..
Thanks for the great video ! I have always liked those older race sleds!
They looked and sounded great and everyone remembers the smell of race fuel and synthetic premix. Cheers

A great story! Thanks!
Back then to drive from Smooth Rock to North Bay was a task I don't want to think from North Bay to Barrie back then

We love all those race sleds from that era! Amazing how much passion and dedication went to the race tracks every weekend.
Fun facts as always. Did you fart at 3:15 ? Looks like you're trying hard not to burst out laughing !!
No gas problems just trying not to stumble on the home stretch. :-)

I was lucky enough to go to his house and see the memorabilia collection in his basement. A great guy!
