I started changing a lot of my lures (including inline spinners) to barb-less circle hooks. I haven't lost a fish that I couldn't blame angler error on. It started off as an experiment in a body of water that requires barb-less artificial only. After 2 weeks of back to back fishing this way every day I'd fish this way anywhere and not give it much though anymore. Doesn't mangle fish lips either. Its been pretty nice.

As you don't use a boat, there are a bunch of "fishing access" sites and few spots were you can get plenty of bank area to walk... be interesting yet again to see you figure that place out ( Lots of Small Mouth Bass and Walleye in the southern area, and trout north)
you need to return to San Diego and finish off some of the easy species you missed.. largemouth blenny, sheephead, halfmoon, the deepwater flatfish, treefish, whitefish, etc.. I have a hookup and a boat.. edit: round ray, bat ray, diamond ray, yellowfin croaker, CA halibut, sargo, etc etc are easy too
I use the #5 and musky killer sizes all the time for pike and pickerel but catch all sorts of fish large and small bass down to pan fish when you use #0-#4 mepps good lure

Why not go with your parents on vacation back to Brazil sometime and fish there? We'll be happy if you introduce us to the fish species you grew up catching. Also, not a lot of fishing youtubers go for the species count like you do, they mostly go after popular ones like Peacock Bass, Arowana, Arapaima or Piranha when they're down in Brazil. We'd like to see more variety if that's possible.
I have had a crappie get all 3 trebles of a size 5 mepps in it's mouth. I don't know what it is about mepps spinners but it seems all fish love them. I have caught 10 pound carp on this spinners and they weren't foul hooked.
You should do a review on the creme pond favorites it comes with a micro jerk bait, micro lipless crankbait, and some micro crankbaits and I've used them and they catch lots of fish like bluegill crappie and bass

I notice some of these off brand (smaller company) lure have larger hooks and fatter feather or fur at the end (or lower quality hooks) , compare to the bigger name brand type
This fish in my area are so pressured and finicky that you pretty much have to use 2lb fluro just to get anything to bite. Ive never had any luck with inline spinners for some reason. Only the smallest of the small lures that are the most natural and realistic will work in my area. The fish use their sense of smell followed by tase the most. The struggle is real. Makes me lose faith in fishing if im constantly getting skunked.

just a suggestion i would try out linvilla orchards fishing they have big bass big catfish and in the fall big trout its 10 bucks to fish but it is wel worth it if fishing is slow everywhere else

Green sunfish are savage! I think they believe they are large mouth bass. They even hit my topwater lures when I'm fishing for bass.
