Imagine what wars those aliens had to wage to get to the space in their universe to be on the same level as Sweden after those moves Sweden pulled out.
They basically all made it to the space stage of their own games of "Spore". First they survived as a cell, then as a creature, then as a tribe, then made a civilization, beat all the OTHER civs on their planet, and went out into space.
All of which is pretty impressive, so good for them. :)

I like how Sweden was peaceful the whole game as its real self is, but managed to keep its colonies without war and then went in at World War 2 (or universe equivalent) and just claimed everything.
Sweden was a lot more peaceful during this game though. Sweden had been raging war for a very long time but got tired of it when she lost Finland. Then kept neutral from the 19th century forward (if you don’t count forcing Norway into a union =D)

Drew Durnil, I'm a huge fan of these Mega-campaigns, man, I love 'em. I did something similar with an old map from the '60s or '70s by the look of it. About ten or so years ago, when I was 20, my friends and I got out one of my many maps (my grandfather instilled in me a love for all things historical, international, and especially cartographical,) this one happens to be a map of Europe after WW2 W/ Warsaw Pact. I *know* I had had already been drinking, to some extent, but when my friends arrived we *really* began to drink; there were three of us and we all of a sudden decided that we were "Rulers/Leaders of governments" and began to carve out our lands on the map. But, you had to answer a historical trivia question about the country, area, etc, you wanted to annex. I was an absolute monarch and my main domains were Britan, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Greece I believe. It was F***ing awesome, we carved territories off each other if you got a question wrong, annexed, and lost ground We were at it all night. For some reason, I remember a major city had been nuked and had an out of bounds zone around it because of fallout. Man we had so much fun, I'm totally geeking out right now but it was so fun I hung that map on every wall in every bedroom I had after that until it fell to shreds.

Drew, next time you are going to watch a Stellaris campaing, let it run for a few more years so we can see the late-game crisis Late-game crisis are events that happen in the late-game, wich starts around 2400, there are 3 types of late-game crisis that have different conditions to appear and different ways to fight (A swarm of devouring monsters from other galaxy that infests planets, a sentient AI that tries to "Sterilize" all life in the galaxy, and inter-dimensional invaders)
when the crisis happens all the empires of the galaxy team up to beat the late-game crisis that usually is super powerful

The best part of all of this is that you got Sapmi, one of the hardest nations to form, to be created and you didn't even say anything about it.
I grew up close of Ulm and had kinda the same reaction discovering the Ulm star system the first time in Stellaris. I wonder if that's just coincidence or an easter egg, as Ulm is the birth city of Einstein... so, a major contributor to modern quantum physics shaping our understanding of the universe. Seems fitting enough, I'd say.
