Made a trip to the Detroit River jigging for walleye. We were hosted by Captain Justin from Always An Adventure Charters. We had a blast and caught some nice fish!
Yes, the main advantage I see is if the wind is too strong to be out on Erie safely, you can fish the Detroit with much smaller waves. We would have struggled on Erie with the wind.

Looked like a few of those were not of keepable size.. No length limit there? Others were nice.
Smallest was 15". We threw one back at 14.5" Minimum requirement is 15".
