As a father to a son with autism, I've always experienced rude behaviors in public, particularly when I was denied entry into the airport. I attempt to help you understand this mental health condition through this video.

I am also a parent of child with autism. I found it at the age of 2and half years old. After giving speech therapy and traininig i got admission for him infirst std in spl school at the age of 8. He finished his schooling upto plus 2 athe age of 20. (Spl school upto 8th std). After that normal govt. School. Then he pursued diploma in music, diploma in music teaching and B. A music by directly going to govt music college. Now he is working as a music teacher in vidya vikasini matriculation school coimbatore. As Mr. Prithviraj said i also keep on creating awareness and guiding parents. My son is very much independent now. He cooks ,drives vehicle,
Knows toshop using money and cards alone. I am sharing this because we should not give up. We should be consistent. Thanks .

I’m from Canada, Thamil is my mother tongue. My son who is 22 now was diagnosed with autism when he was 3. Ever since that I was hurt by our people so much. Thamil people have no understanding about autism compared to the western. I’m so lucky that my son was born here in Canada. There are so many supportive programs and funding available for him. I never brought him to India or Sri Lanka ever since he was born. I’m afraid to face our community. Some people act like they feel pity for us which I hated so much.

@@indraalapati989 It's 100 % fact in Bangalore Apollo hospital one north indian racist security forced two Thamizh senior citizens who doesn't know Hindi to speak that racist language to see their daughter who was admitted there. Apollo should not recruit these kind of Hindi racist fellows atleast for humanity basis

I was touched when you told that making our children to wait in queue or line each and every minute traumatic for the autistic parents... Please keep us motivating with these small incidents...

The more you speak about it the more it will reach especially when a celebrity does that it will reach,you are doing a service to this society.Asian countries need much awareness of mental issues such as depression and other personality disorder,Autism ADHD and so forth. I have worked and lived with people with autism for over 45 years. I have travelled with some of them to England and France.
I had a sister who was autistic, she passed away. She had touched the lives of so many people with her love. People with autism have an element of mysticism, they teach us to live at a deeper level.
