I have an 8 year old battery-powered chainsaw of the other orange flavor. I know the technology has come a long way since then, but I have noticed it wants to stall easier now than when new. I don't know if it is a battery or motor issue, but I am still able to use it for now. Spoke with the local dealer, and they have a couple of basic diagnostic tricks, but there isn't anything they can do to fix any issues besides selling you another unit or updated battery. Isn't like a new carb or piston n rings of the good old days. Throw it away and buy another...🙄
It would be impossible to replicate identical cuts but I would like to see how the 542i vs 540i does in a partial pinch situation with motor stalled think peel cut on a branch type situation, I think you already slightly touched on it when saying the 542i reacts more like a gas saw.
Good morning you guys good video love it (Ty Ron
Thanks for watching.
Good comparison video 👍 I'm not sold on electric chainsaws yet but the technology is getting better.
They are nice for up in the tree or next to chipper
Nice comparison. The battery saws have come a long way in a short time.
They definitely have their place and purpose.
Battery power becoming more popular in the city with Landscapers ! Less noise !
I like it in the tree for not having to pull start just to make 1 cut or on the ground by chipper if you need to cut a branch to fit in the chipper.
Both saws are nice. How long to charge a completely dead battery?
Takes about 45 min to charge battery
👍
Thanks for watching

Basically if its a motor or battery issue cheaper to buy new than repair.

The battery saws are faster than gas and the t542i if bogs out restarts like normal saws.
The 300 Battery would be a little longer lasting by 30%.
Basically gas tank size, thing is with battery size is the weight does not go down as the tank goes empty.
Im not sure about the differences between batteries other than weight.
I wonder if in the future if people will be modifying electric chainsaw motors??will they call it porting??
They have them set for safety reasons as well.
Niether , battery garbage has no place in tree work among professionals , cheap woke left appeasing junk and that goes for all battery powered stuff
@danz0007 everyone can have an opinion. I see a lot of tree service company's using battery saws. They do have their place and purpose.
i here ya , to each his own , i will stick with my gassers , good video anyway
