What the heck is up wth the title of this video, asking as someone with borderline personality disorder
Coral More I thought the same thing, completely threw me off 😂
As someone with BPD, yes it also threw me off but glad I clicked. I really liked the video and actually think the title is funny and a good description of the concept he addressed lol
Was just gonna say the same thing I also have BPD.
Strongly agree as someone with borderline p.d. traita. Not fully diagmosed. Yet. O find this not amusing. Using a b.p.d type phrase is never funny. I clicked on the link this to get help understanding bpd, but found very little help.i also dont consider myself a millennial, and do however understand where he is coming from. I did learn from his list of three things. Mostly about keeping it real
I was waiting for them to talk about how it’s just a millennial disorder and thinking about how hard I would punch my phone when they said that, then they never said it, then I felt like sh**.
I really do not like this title at all. It’s the same as stereotyping bipolar disorder saying it’s like having two personalities 🙄😒 no. Completely insulting
Actually, he should name it...Borderline Political Disorder. Don't be insulted, it's not about you.
As someone with BPD and also works in social media, I want to be supportive of another professional but this title does irk me and almost feels like a clickbait effort.
Ridiculous title. I find it an insult to people like myself with BPD.
Again. It's not all about people with BPD. As a matter of fact, that's the main symptom of BPD.
the title is an insult to people suffering with BPD. Please change ur title
LMAO That's the definition of BPD. It's not all about them
Great talk, Ryan!
You have no idea what real people with bpd go through, not clever at all
No, we don't...but we tolerate it. And honestly, anybody that is insulted...I guess has to be reminded. It's not all about you
Itll always be stigmatised because of comments such as these. I hope they rename it as a start. Your part of why (even if you think its tiny) people dont get help.
Sigh.
I was confused when I came to the comments section. I want to say that I like this video, but because the comments are so negative I can't help but wonder what I'm not understanding or what negative aspect I'm attracted to that caused everyone who commented to throw virtual tomatoes instead of just not commenting and moving on to something which better fit what they were searching for.
They have BPD. The irony
google what is the most painful mental health condition. stop using this you have no idea how serious borderline is. your talking about something so shallow also, with a serious mental health disorder upfront.
I liked don't be ideal. Be real
I think it's more Borderline Political Disorder. But that's just my opinion.
he's so cute, why does people not laugh? i almost peed xd
Right! I enjoyed his enthusiasm
Because they have BPD and it's all about them 😁
You are strange
Well I'm an old post war curmudgeon and I AM tech and social media savvy. I don't care how social media savvy millennials are. EXCEPT FOR THE VERY FEW YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, millennials collectively watch, observe, pass judgement, laugh, criticize, give opinions, all online. Many of them did so poorly in school that they need spell check to comment on a post. Networking is nothing without incentive and motivation. Millennials do nothing. They perform nothing. They accomplish nothing. They live inside their own heads but they don't physically go outside to do anything except play, self entertain, self gratify, and they enjoy themselves and their fluffed up, puffed up lives, all without doing jack. Your "story" is bogus. You've spoken for almost 20 minutes about yourself but said nothing of worth. Whoever pays you to speak has more money to spend than they have brain cells.
how ignorant of you
Written like a true millennial. Without capitalization or punctuation. You don't even know how typical you are.
fattymoko
You are absolutelly right - unfortunatelly the Millennials generetion was rised under the umbrella of safety given by their parents. They were not exposed to any trully tough event. They were given everything instantly by their parents. And they were raised along with social media - they lost the ability to communicate face to face - instead they can only use smartphones to express themselves. And they lived all life being told they were special, unique; they got prizes and medals for just participating in any events. And suddenly when they graduate from college - bam - they hit the reality. They were told in college that after it they would earn a six figure sallary. They can't cope with moderate problems in their work. They can't cope with someone saying to them "no" - and having different point of view. They lack any responsibility for their actions. They can't work more than 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week. But they demand extra care, rise and promotion for any single task they do. They are simply impatient and can't set their long term goals.
Are you okay?
Additionally very few people get paid for their public speaking skills on Ted Talks. And never Ted Talk x as they do it all themselves.
