The man's voice hasn't changed at all!!!!! In fact the guy has gotten better with time. God bless him. The founder father of Judas Priest.

I'm so grateful this and other Al Atkins' material is readily available on youtube, otherwise I may have never seen or heard such amazing performances. Just excellent! And to the feckless mouth-breathers who had someone else, obviously, type something negative, I have this to say; It's too bad stupidity isn't painful. - Lou Cipher (2020)

People. I allow all comments. This is the first recording with Al I did. Some of you are kind, some of you are critical. That is absolutely fine. I do not mind at all. If you like it then fine. It was over a decade ago ;-)

I noticed some Priest fans saying that this version isn't as good as Rob's version. I've been a huge Priest fan in my youth and my first live concert was a Judas Priest concert. I've always been a fan of Rob Halford, but I've got nothing bad to say about this version either. Honestly I was expecting more of a cover version of Victim of Changes that we all know and are perhaps more used to, but this really sounds like The Al Atkins Band's song and not just a cover, if you know what I mean. Al has a very good voice and I really like his style. The band plays really well together too.
A lot of Priest fans are just so used to Rob being THE singer of the band so that they can't accept anyone else singing the same songs :) I was the same too. Didn't like it when Tim "Ripper" Owens replaced Rob. Only later on I understood that Ripper was actually a very good replacement for Rob.
But enough about Priest for now because like I said earlier, this doesn't sound like a JP cover at all so there's no need for me to even compare this to JP's version. Good job and keep on rocking!

Thanks man, we, Al, and the band never set out to be anyone else but us. And HELL we keep on going.
      I appreciate your kind comments.

Not really a cover, seeings Al wrote the song. Rob would replace Al later, so Rob was actually covering Als material.😁

Judas Priest never would have gone anywhere with this guy on vocals - he's painfully average. And he's goofy-looking too.

Iron Maiden need to have this guy touring with them. I mean obviously keep Bruce for Bruce's stuff, but bring out Al for Paul's. He sounds so much like late 70s, early 80s Paul Di'Anno it's ridiculous

It's a little sad to find out Rob Halford didn't write the lyrics to my favorite song of all time
: ( BTW, what does he mean when right before the solo they sing: "I've had enough, I've had enough, Good God, Pluck me!
"Pluck me"? What does that mean? I have never in my whole life heard that expression. Maybe it's a British thing.
