This is the exact way that I came up in the industry. Started in operations and then as a loan officer assistant and finally loan partner.

Wow this was an amazing walk through. I happened to find this after I had already accepted a job at Guaranteed Rate as an LOA. I’m currently Searching for advice before my start date on July 5th. I appreciate the way you broke everything down, it was extremely informative in helping me understanding the base role I need to provide as LOA. In the interview process I told them I’m happy to start from the bottom and I’d honestly rather work it that way, so I can have a good grasp on the industry before moving up. I have previously sold cars for over 10 years and felt it was time to make a move. I’m highly ambitious and have enough saving to stomach the decrease in pay for the next 12 months or so. To me this is a path to a career that will fill my cup, it’s not an ends to a means and I’m extremely excited to prove myself and work my way up the latter. This is just a starting point and I intend on making my self irreplaceable to earn everything moving forward. I know this video is a few years old and some people will and already have called me crazy for taking this leap based on the current market but none of that matters to me I believe in myself and I believe in the people I’ll be working for. I’m excited for the future and to have the opportunity to be working with the people I have in my corner. Thanks again for taking your time to break this down it has strengthened my confidence moving into a new industry and it excites me on so many levels. 🙌

Very insightful. I like how you compared these mortgage roles with other careers like Nurse Practitioner and Nurse, PA and Physician etc. Looking forward to passing the SAFE exam at the end of the month. Hoping this is the career path for me, especially after finding out that there are many different roles within the mortgage industry. Thanks for your podcast!

Great video, I have been in the auto industry for almost 20 years most recently as a Loan Officer & now waiting for my MLO license to be approved. I have been considering to be an assistant or partner or even a credit union to learn the ropes. Any recommendations?
