Ardbeg is actually what first turned me onto Islay Scotch. The first time I realized I loved peat was after having a glass of Ardbeg Uigeadail. You can never go wrong with a good Ardbeg imo.

My beginning of a love with peated scotch was Lagavulin 16 and it will always be a huge favourite but I adore Ardbeg as well!

I love Coreyvreckan. Outstanding scotch! Terrific video! My nosing experience is so different with coreyvreckan! I know a scotch is fabulous when I continue to come back to it even after exploring some spectacular single malts! Thanks so much! Cheers!

Love Corey Feldman! 😉 Have to say this and the Uigeadail (Colloquially Oogie) are some of the best standard releases in the whole of Scotchdom! But you gotta like some peat!

Thanks for the episode. Always enjoy the content. I enjoy the peated whiskey but have only tried three of the Ardbegs. The ten which I grab most frequently because it’s a great pour at the price, the uigeadail and this one. Of the three I’d have to say the corryvreckan is my favorite. But nothing wrong with any of the three.

Now you guys are speaking my language. Ardbeg is my favorite distillery and Corryvreckan is my favorite production expression. It's just a wonderful, powerful, peated whisky. And I would drink that along side with Octomores and not feel undergunned.

For the value, I think you guys are thinking about it from bourbon perspective not scotch. Single Malt usually start at around $45, which is equivalent to $20 in bourbon world.
The Ardbeg 10 is $50, so at $80 is really fairly priced since most of unique Single Malt actually start at +$65 MSRP.

Never tried this. Will pick one up and see. Like Dillon, I know someone who like the gasoline fumes. He says it makes him hungry. Weird.

Corryvrechan is a really rough patch of water. Getting past it in our rowing boat was always a hair-raising experience. The whisky is a class act but definitely has the violence of the water it's named after.

$80! Wow those were the days. The bottle I bought last week was $125. Ouch. But, man what a wonderful whisky.

On what planet can you get a peated cask strength Islay for $50? This bottle is good value.

I think with the new release of Wee Beastie, a drinkthrough of their core lineup is required in the future. I'll add I prefer the Uigeadail and I think based on videos and reviews it's the consensus favorite of the lineup. I haven't had the Wee Beastie yet, not available yet it in NC.

You goofs need to let any Ardbeg breathe for a few weeks before you go tasting, my first ardbeg 10 was literally burning tire fire on the nose until it relaxed. - same goes for Uigeadail.

A sugar cube and a cigar goes way further than this cheap stuff, 'cept for the drunk part. 2021 bottling w/o the taste of malted barley distillate whatsoever.
