Welcome back. I see that here and there some new lines are added to your faces, but you still have that cheerful soul and positive attitude. Ayran and boza are a bit of an acquired taste. You may not like them first few times. However, once you pass that threshold, you start liking them. Even if you don't like their taste, you should drink them for their health benefits. Enjoy your time in Turkiye. All the best.
@@DelightfulTravellers Trevor, it is not my intention to make you two feel bad or upset. If you construed it that way, then please accept my apologies. I am at least 10 years older than you. First of all, welcome to İzmir! I live in İzmir and I love this video :) By the way, the pide you ate was with cheese and egg. There was no meat in that :) Also, "gevrek" is actually the same thing with "simit". We just have different names for some things in İzmir. It's even became a meme in the country. Some people say "what do you call this in İzmir?" to make fun of us :) Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

Welcome to Türkiye and I'm glad you are enjoying your time in İzmir. If you haven't tried these foods already, I recommend içli köfte, su böreği, menemen, karnıyarık, kuru fasulye & pilav and iskender. These are common foods enjoyed across the country. The following are less common but a must try if you come across them; inegöl köfte, cağ kebabı, tirit and kayseri yağlaması. If you would like cheesy pastry desserts, künefe and laz böreği are good options. Bon appetit!

Welcome guys, İzmir will offer very different experiences. Historical places like Selçuk ( Ephesus ), Smyrna Agora which you have visited, İzmir arceological museum and some minor ancient settlements... Sunny beaches; Foça, Çeşme, Seferihisar, Urla, Ürkmez, Gümüldür, Özdere, Dikili, Karaburun etc. The food is unique, you might like the street food, but also home made food, especially cooked herbs are lovely. Have a nice trip!

Hi Guys, I have missed a few of your videos I apologise, life has been hectic. I would one day love to go to there, the Turkish food looks fabulous and the scenery just beautiful. I hope you both are doing great?
In Alaçatı try Selanik 1975, their ice cream is number one, a bit pricy though portion is very big, especially bal badem ice cream (honey almond i) is so delicious.
Street food is food sold by a hawker or vendor on a street or at another public place, such as a market, fair, or park. It is often sold from a portable food booth,[1] food cart, or food truck and is meant for immediate consumption. Some street foods are regional, but many have spread beyond their regions of origin. Most street foods are classified as both finger food and fast food and are typically cheaper than restaurant meals.

Hello.. Love your reactions.. By the way, about 2:11 Actually Pide must not be called "Turkish Pizza".. Because Pide was way older than Pizza.. Pizza is Italian Pide.. That kind of foods are invented by Anatholian geography.. Anthic Romans, Greeks but Pizza is more famous in entire world, so everyone called it Turkish Pizza unfortunately :( ..
15:22 I dont know about sauce in that döner.. It could be chili, spicy tomato sauce.. Actually, almost every cities in Turkey has their own style of Döner.. Normally, as a default, No sauce is added to the döner because its meat is already so juicy. Döner meat cant be dry.. And Eastern people wants to taste the pure meat flavor..They believe sauces are killing the taste of meat.. But some places can add mayoinesse, ketchup, or hot chili, spicy tomato sauce etc.. :))
In İzmir Kemeraltı districk there is famous candy shop Ezmecizade, they make almond candy that contains %65 finest quality almond and just %13 sugar, premium quality, taste is slightly bitter cause they stick to the orijinal formuna from 1300's using %20 bitter almond of total almond.
