Pincer used the brain stem from the bug in his lair to let Bug control the body of the human. When the human died, he couldn’t control it any more so ‘woke up’.
Absolutely gut-wrenching when you reminded me that starship happened 13 years ago 😂😭 100% agree that they should bring back some of their older shows, unfortunately my favorites of theirs are the parodies so that’s probably not possible, but a starship revival would have my whole heart
the only thing is, they'd have to re-make all the puppets. according to Nick and Matt Lang, all of the puppets are gone and all that's left is Pincer's head. ( they had the upper body with his pinchers but it was falling apart so bad, they had to throw that part of Pincer away, but so far still kept his head ). Nick mentioned this as recent as one of the streams for their current musical/stage show Cinderella's Castle. ( obviously on the topic of puppets )
@@HelloXrancidkitteh I knowww it makes me so sad they got rid of the puppets! However I do think with how much more popular they are now (and how quickly Cinderella’s Castle became like their highest funded show???) they would be able to remake the puppets maybe even at a better quality
@@HelloXrancidkitteh I remember hearing they got rid of Pincer, but all of the other ones too? That's sad I feel like they could have kept the smaller ones as decoration
You were close with the human bug thing. The brain leech spores aka the sweat bands connect minds. But the body was brain dead so what it did was put Bug's consciousness in the empty brain. So long as the human body and Bug's body had the sweat bands on the connection stayed. So after the human body was destroyed Bug had nothing to connect to so his mind went back into his original body.
There is a sequel to starship but it was only ever performed as a stage reading at a convention but wasn’t filmed. There’s an audio recording on the internet somewhere and it follows the story of Tootsie meeting mega girl’s family
There are definitely audio recordings around out there, I have it and I think A Very Potter Christmas or whatever it was called, because they were a part of one of their kickstarters, I think as an optional extra purchase or stretch goal or something, which I got from there... I expect other people have it too... I think those versions were recorded in a studio or something, because I remember the audio being clean and it didn't sound like they were reacting to an audience, although they may have also done readings at conventions too, which there may also be recordings of... Not sure..
26:12 me and my friend learned to do this move once haha. i am Not as strong as joe so i did get some gnarly bruises on my leg from all the attempts on having my friend stand on it
He's already seen them, but there are also quite a few puppets in the Very Potter Musicals (the dragon in the House Cup Tournament, the Sorting Hat, the Scarf of Sexual Preference, Lupin's werewolf form, the basilisk, etc)
like the comment before me, they have had a puppet or 2 in some shows. this was their first with a whole cast of puppet characters. the only one, up until now with their new stage show Cinderella's Castle, which is their second show thats made up of a whole collection of puppets. ( its not yet on youtube, only teaser vids about it, but it will soon be. I think they're still performing it live )
@@HelloXrancidkitteh yeah Veggie mentioned Cinderella’s castle in the video, that’s why I didn’t mention that! Also Cinderella’s Castle performances ended a few weeks ago and the digital ticket is available to rent if you want to watch it :) highly recommend
If you're totally invested in Starkid and want to know all the references, like you said at the end, then I would recommend you to watch the Nightmare Time episodes before Nerdy Prudes Must Die
Bug’s bug body was still down on the planet so when his human body died in space, his consciousness went back to his original body which was still alive
Man, this musical really recontextualizes the question "Would you still love me if I was a worm?"
Also they’re all smiling at the G.L.E.E joke because Darren Criss was part of the series and this point 😂
And because of that this show didn’t get as many songs as initially planned
And the wink Joe Walker gives to the camera? The camera operator was Darren Criss. 😘
@@VeracityLH where did they say that?
@@1LilSpark that’s a shame, but I’m sure the cast were happy for him ☺️
@@VeracityLH is that confirmed? Because I've heard someone before saying that he was in the audience and I don't know if that's true either
The glee joke gets me every time even tho i know its coming. There is a couple puppets in Firebringer too! :)

"Oop Ork Eep Ah Ah" comes from a Flintstones episode where it was a hit song in Bedrock
i didn't know about it being in the Flintstones, it was in the Jetsons, too.

Some of the nightmare time episodes are also female lead

I can’t wait to see Black Friday after this… Tom Huston & Linda Monroe nuff said
He’s confirmed that he’ll do Black Friday after?! Omg is there a time frame maybe?
If you loved the puppets in this one, I'm sure you'll enjoy Cinderella's Castle when it drops on UA-cam!
The G.L.E.E joke was extra funny because Darren was in the audience so Jo is smiling at him 😂

That damn GLEE joke. Joe just makes me giggle whenever his characters are flirty or overly confident. It’s a problem.
