@richardharrold9736 For one, the bike engine revs waaay higher than the stock one so the gear ratios would be all out of whack. Plus a lot of bikes have the engine, clutch and gearbox in one casing, so getting access to the output shaft of the engine itself wouldn't be trivial. Lots of work for what is already a kinda ridiculous build but it could be done.
Nah just needs a piece of aluminum attached to the underside of the hood extending all the way to the windshield. It's flopping from the high pressure zone pushing air underneath the back of the hood. You'll also gain some downforce by doing this as well.
just a sidenote but i can higly recommend you getting motorcycle earplugs. they dont muffle out the sound they just filter extremely loud high pitch and make everything monotonely quieter almost without losing sound "quality". i have pack of 4 from alpine hearing protection one stronger and one weaker pair. for me personally it was totally worth the 20 bucks. oh and mad respect for this crazy build its so cool

Even wearing the quietest helmets on the market you're still getting over 100 decibels of wind noise inside blasting your ears and hearing damage starts at around 75-80 decibels. You want to wear proper foam earplugs with around 30 plus nrr protection. Those Alpinestar moto plugs barely sit at around 20 nrr which means you're still in hearing damage range wearing those.

Isn't that annoying? They're allowed to build something like that and drive it legally on the road. BUT, full throttle in 4th, 5th or even 6th gear is illegal (speed limit). In Germany you are allowed to drive that fast, but building something like that is illegal. Btw.: I would like to have a "Tipo 184" (kit car from England, with MX-5/Miata parts), but that is also illegal here in Germany.

a cbr1000rr can make a lot more than 170hp, especially with a bigger less restrictive intake and exhaust. also the bike drivetrain will weigh a lot less than a car drivetrain. the real reason car manufacturers don't do this is because it turns the car into a complete racecar, the miata is expected to last well over 100k miles while cbr1000rr drivetrain would be doing pretty good if it hit 50k, and that's pulling a 400lb vehicle not a 2000lb vehicle. also the poor clutch lol
My only question is what is the longevity gonna look like. People say a bike is worn out after like 40k miles and that's ALOT more load on that thing than a 450lb bike.
who are these people saying a bike is worn out after 40k miles? Most japanese bikes can go 100k+ miles easily if properly maintained. Problem is there's a lot of idiots with sport bikes that don't maintain them. I don't see anyone driving a car like this more than a few thousands miles a year anyways, it's a toy/track car rather than a commuter or road trip car.
I think gixxer brah or Brian 636 uploaded a video where he showed a Suzuki gsxr1000 with over 1.5 million miles. It was heavily modded tho but still crazy
There's a thing called a motor mover used for caravans, basically a powered spindle that presses onto the tyre to move a campervan around via remote control. Something similar might be a decent option for a reverse🤷
@@superbarnie Even without a quick-shifter, you can usually upshift a sequential without a clutch, just lift off the throttle. Not good for the transmission, but it works. This coming from a CBR-1000RR it probably has a quick shifter though.

An actual quickshifter does the same exact thing, except instead of lifting the throttle to reduce load, the quickshifter cuts ignition when you are pulling on the gear shifter lever. So the mechanic is the same either way.

Colossal pain in the ass to supercharge bikes - you don't really have a free end of the crankshaft sticking out driving accessories to work with like you do on automotive applications
Really cool......only difference is, on a bike you would be doing about 5 x the speed obviously. Sounds fun, but leaves one a little wanting in the adrenaline dept. What was the bike engine from?....Then again I looked at the speedo and it's not doing badly, even with the extra weight!!!

Still 170hp and 90ish ftlb of torque. Low trq would essentially feel like you’re making noise but not going any where.
