Rachel! This video is EXACTLY what I needed to hear. Thank you for making this video! Ive been exploring so many different problems with many doctors for 2.5+ years with sooo many dead ends. In recent months I had given up doctors, but your determination & success has reinspired me to try & find a great orthopedic doctor who supports PRP. Thank you Rachel! Please keep us updated!! I have been loving these updates! I'm so proud of you for your hard work! I totally get trying to remember who you are from before all this. I also have PTSD from having symptoms and I just get that talking about those bad days just is so scary and uncomfortable. I am so excited for you to have another chance as you put it. I am praying for your continued healing! And also, on a personal note, your story and updates have been so incredibly helpful to my life. I just had my prolotherapy today. I have been dealing with chronic cervical pain for 4 years, not nearly as bad as you have had it but I can relate. I had a disc disectomy that did not help, PRP is my last hope before trying fusion. I am really happy for you and hopeful for myself! I literally just found your blog today :). @@live12617 I don't think there's much to be scared of other than needles. Prolotherapy is natural and safe. I had significant improvement after the first session, but I've had to do a lot of physical therapy to improve my movement and stability in the muscles that support the neck, and to recover the natural curve. The atrophy from being in pain for so long extends to the legs and lower back, and I still have to correct my sleep posture to resolve this.

What did you do other than the surgery? I have read that once the ligaments in the upper cervical spine stretch out, that they don't repair themsleves?
I'm not in as much pain as you were but every other symptom is present. The worst has been double vision, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations.

Unbelievable positivity from you gives me strength ❤️I’ve recently just come across cci and it makes so much sense now I always thought it was damaged ligaments in my cervical spine but didn’t fully understand the extent. I have had a hell of a lot of symptoms and pain. There was a really low time there where I couldn’t sit up for more than 15 minutes at a time for couple of months after really bad flare up.. been battling this for almost a year now tried physio chiropractic and had just caused flare ups and made things worse. Had a severe case of bobble head too and still find it hard to stay up for long periods at a time and I’m saying this to my family and they really wernt understanding things you nearly think your going mad.. feel I’m strong enough to tackle the prolotherapy now 💪 thanks for such positivity

Congratulations Rachael! It has been a very long road for you. This takes a terrible mental toll on people because there are so few options to help heal, as you know. I think your youth played a big role in your healing, yet it still took 4.5 years to get there. When you feel up to it I would like to hear a chat of your wild ride to healing. I have watched every video but to put it together in a less fragmented way would be helpful. I am at the hopeless stage right about now. Doctors are not too interested in a woman in her 60's. And to think in the midst of all this you found your husband! I think I read you got married sometime during treatment? He must be a gem off a husband! Patient and comforting for you to keep up the hope. Now you have so many years ahead of you and I am vert, very happy for you. Your neck look nice and strong!

Hi Rachael. Thank you for all of the valuable information you’re providing! I’m just curious if there’s a particular brand/type of neck brace that you recommend?
Also, I’m wondering what the location of your primary pain is.. I’m currently having very bad “coat hanger”, neck pain/migraines, as well as excruciating pain in my arms and legs that migrates. I have been Dx with E-D among other things.
I had no pain prior to doing hyperbaric chamber therapy, and that changed literally overnight. I believe the pressure changes from the hyperbaric TXs triggered it, and then everything was further complicated after I had a diagnostic lumbar puncture and had a csf leak.. I hadn’t gotten the E-D Dx prior to those two things, otherwise I wouldn’t have done them.

I have ACM type 1 without CCI and syringomelia BUT even with decompression surgery 3 years ago and good few months (all symptoms except memory and concentration issues) after it health status plumeted to worse then before the surgery. September last year I went to Institut Chiari & Siringomielia & Escoliosis of Barcelona (icseb) and I got diagnosis Filum disease where Filum is pulling spinal cord down and provides numerous health issues and they say it is the source problem for ACM. Now I gathered money for the surgery in september this year and hopefully it will resolve the problems. Beside Filum Disease here is also TCS or Tethered Cord Syndrome that it is little different. ICSEB has their own website and UA-cam channell with a ton of informations. I would post the link to the coresponding UA-cam video here but I do not know if I am allowed here.

Hi Rachel! Thank you so much for your regular updates!
I'd like to ask you a serious question and would love an honest answer because it effect my health and many others.
I'm seeing Dr. Hauser in August for serious cervical instability that causes me horrific dizzy spells for the last five years as well as a lot of pain.
I did have anterior cervical dissection and fusion surgery at the C5 and C6 levels which definitely helped at first but now I wish I never had it done for various reasons.
My main question to you is do you feel it is worth going to see Dr. Hauser because the reviews are so mixed everywhere you read that I'm concerned that not only will he hurt me, but I'll end up spending $12,000 for nothing.
Please let us all know your honest take.
Thank you so much and i hope you continue to heal up more and more each day!

Thank you for your comment! I'm so sorry to hear of what you've been through. Yes, it was 100% worth it for me going to Caring Medical. Honestly, most of the negative reviews I found were from patients who never even had treatments, but were upset about the cost. When I was there, I encountered dozens of people who's lives have been completely changed for the better. I don't share it as the most important part of my healing, but something that really helped to accelerate it. I made videos of my experience the entire time I was there if that's any help to you! Megan Klee also has a lot of great videos about her experience. Truly wishing you all the best!

@@HealingWithRachael Thank you so much for your response, Rachael! Yes, I saw many of your stories about caring medical, but being some time has passed, I wanted to see if you still felt that it was a very important part of your healing journey.
I am ecstatic to see how far you've come and that you're slowly regaining your life as well.
I do believe that Dr. Hauser will be the solution I'm looking for.
I had prolozone and neural therapy twice, about 2 months ago with no success at a location here in NYC where I live and I had PRP with prolozone and neural therapy done on April 16thv and procedure was very painful even with novacaine and there's no way I'm doing nitrous gas.
After my prp treatment, I was insanely dizzy for about 12 days and the neck pain was through the roof. I had about 40 injections in my neck and a bunch in my shoulders and a few in my thoracic spine.
My biggest fear is because they weren't using guided technology, that perhaps they hit the vagus nerve or who knows what other structure but I assumed that the dizziness is normal due to the micro inflammation from the injections.
So far over the phone with caring medical it seems like they are going to want to do prolotherapy with possibly PRP together.
I was also vegan for many years but I am now carnivore leaning and I'm definitely feeling better just from that alone over the last few months.
If you had to rank in order from greatest to least, what do you feel helped you most aside from support from your family and belief in God?
Thank you again for your reply and any additional info would be great!
      Best!

I have shared a lot about this in previous videos! A combination of an animal-based diet (mostly carnivore), nervous system regulation / brain retraining, and prolotherapy and curve correction are what helped to heal my neck instability. My fusion surgery did not contribute to my recovery, in fact it has made it more difficult because of the surgery.

@@LostNspace94 Your question doesn't really make sense to me. Nobody goes into a surgery thinking it won't help them. I was told it was my only option and didn't know everything I learned years after. Not every surgery helps people. A fusion surgery does not fix the root cause of neck instability. It made my airway worse, jaw worse, and lower instability worse. It's a very unnatural position for the skull/spine to be in and its not healthy to have limited motion in such a critical area of the cervical spine. No surgery comes without a drawback. I wish everyday I could go back and not have it. I was at my sickest 1-2 years after, and it has unfortunately made my recovery more complicated. Please be careful before you make assumptions! All the best to you.

If you do feel up to talking more about your surgery sometime, I'd really appreciate it. I am heading down that road and would love to hear why you feel like it was worse for your overall recovery. Is it mostly because of the limited range of motion? Are you aware of the surgery being helpful for some people? I'm aware of prolotherapy but that seems to have just as many negative outcomes as the surgery does. It's a scary decision to make.

    • @JacksonStar4757
      @JacksonStar4757 Рік тому +1

From what I understand, spinal fusion is hardly ever a good idea bc you develop instability above or below the fusion bc of the extra stress that's put on those joints and you end up needing prolotherapy anyway. I feel your pain I'm scared too I'm going to Caring Medical but haven't started my prolo yet... but I know I need it. My upper cervical chiropractor knows Dr Hauser personally and she wants me to do it. She highly recommends him and says she always recommends prolotherapy before surgery esp a fusion. I know some have said the prolo didn't help them and some people may have gotten worse but there are so many success stories and what if we do it and we do heal and do not need surgery?! 😃🙏🙏 I know it's hard believe me I struggle with this everyday if I'm making the right decision but we have to try to have hope and think positive

@@MB-nd7fe No she just recommended Dr Hauser and Caring Medical says the picl procedure is usually not needed if the neck is treated comprehensively like they do.
