Its been 3 months i have been driving new verna, my maximum usage is in city, its the most comfortable sedan out there which is crazy fast, the interior and looks is soo futuristic and today it got 5 star 🌟 in global ncap. Really happy with my new verna ❤

My Slavia (1L MT) gave pretty good mileage in trip Srinagar -Gulmarg-Srinagar. While going to Gulmarg on uphill it gave avg of 10-12, while coming back it just didn't consume any petrol, used engine braking only, got avg of 28-33 in that, on a total trip got avg around 16-17/
M planning too....request if you can share some data like were you moving all packed up with 4 passengers or 2?....then did you feel Any lack of power while driving uphill....waiting for your response. Thanks
@@saurabhchaudhary8991 all packed up 4 passengers, no lack of power provided you are in turbo range(above 1800rpm), whatever be the incline, it has best steering in the price segment better than virtus, virtus has lighter steering but with less feedback
PS - our total trip was 4500 km from Maharashtra to Kashmir, got 17 kmpl milage overall includes Highway, city traffic, mountains even some times when we needed to turn on engine and heater for hour to melt the snow

Virtus is faster than verna let me explain because verna design is some how lighter that why it's some how unstable and streeing makes driver somehow underconfident that's why verna feels fast but virtus is winner I have driven both😉

The average for Mumbai city in heavy traffic is 11.5 approx and For Highway, its touches 18-19 if driven in ECO mode and City mode. Turbo DCT
Id still prefer 1.5 virtus . At this price point I will definitely prefer a safer product consist of build quality paint quality etc

my skoda slavia 1.5 dsg gives 12-13 on hills.. and 8-9 on extreme hills with narrow roads.. and highway i am able to get around 19 on ac and 22 without ac... mainly because of 2 cylinder mode.. many times i am aggresive in overtaking and drive car at 100+ and even upto 120..with normally speed between 85-100.. so if i drive with constant 80-90 without aggresive overtaking or driving at high speeds i feel i can get 3-4 kmpl more.. because a friend on mine has virtus gt and he got around 24 kmpl on a 560 km trip with controlled driving.. city mileage depends on city.. in noida 12-13 .. in 2 tier city like hardwar its 8-9 because of narrow roads and lots of traffic...
On Samruddhi highway slavia returned avg around 16-18, I was constantly in range 100 - 130 Kmph, got avge speed of 100 Kmph for tripod 100 km
@@GauravDhage well i guess that is 6 lane expressway.. so it can be driven at that speed.. i drive at same speed on meerut expressway.. but not in 4 lane open highway.. where anyone can pop up from sides from any opening.. so have to drive at 85-100.. as anything above 100 can be fatal..

Verna has better engine, relatively more reliable double clutch transmission, 5 star Global NCAP rating, heated and ventilated seated, higher quality plastic/soft touch materials, variable ambient lights, better sound system, better boot space, disc breaks for all wheels, ADAS level 2 and priced even less than virus + Slavia. If you can ignore or change the front bumper it straight away looks like a 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Also finally hyundai has much better service after sales compared to horror experiences and costing of VW & Skoda. Any logical person would rate Verna at the top. No doubt Virtus/Slavia DSG are more fun to drive, but I think it's a give or take for everything in life 😂
Great video as usual. Your return average maybe slightly higher if you had decreased the fuel amount (as almost 100-150ml spilled outside). Also, please don't fill petrol upto the brim as it needs air gap for vapour creation, which if not provided may cause both safety and performance issues.

Sir please test Elevate zx cvt on the same route. Especially keeping in mind Honda’s pricing, I feel a lot of nexon, xuv 300, breeza (automatic) and 4+ meter SUVs with NA automatic buyers will consider Elevate.
New Verna looks so luxurious
As a family car comforting yourself sitting inside AC, Hearing music while cruising at 100 kmph verna is better bcoz of better AC system, more ambient light options, connected car tech, slightly better music system. What about wireless apple carplay/android auto, height adjustable seat and keyless entry for co driver, head rest for rear middle passenger. But Comeon guys, doing drag race on empty road just by increasing power and reducing weight anybody can do. That too Verna is just 0.5-0.75 secs quicker than virtus/slavia on 0-100 kmph drag race. If we take verna with virtus/slavia in f1 race track which has more curves, definetely virtus/slavia wins anyday. What really matters is how the car performs on curvy roads, high speed stability, steering weight and precision, how the car handles during sudden lane changing and braking while animals crossing the road at cruising speed of 120-130 kmph matters. I took test drive of slavia 1.5 dsg. It is cruising at 130 kmph in ACT mode with only two cylinders running. We need to understand how potent this engine is. It can easily go upto 230 kmph hands down but due to safety norms the speed limiter is set for 203 kmph. VAG cars are having electronic slip differential, multi collision braking, brake disc wiping, sturdy body shell over and above ABS, EBD, hill hold / descent assist, 6 air bags what Verna and even entry level cars have. I am against ADAS as it is only applicable for countries where traffic is more regulated but not for indian conditions.

depends on you.. i went for slavia. because of driving and safety.. also 1.5 dsg engine is an audi-vw engineered engine.. in europe.. audi q1/q2 and audi a1 come with same engine and gearbox.. so it's an entry level audi engine.. verna engine is new.. but hyundai is good with engines too.. but i can't debate on safety as it might save you in accidents but most hyundai cars are total loss in big accidents while the VW cars can be repaired even in high impact accidents..
@@ShobhitTechVideo Considering Verna didnt undergo any crash tests till date, cant consider it as a unsafe car. Accidents happen at different conditions, considering I am not an automobile or mechanical engineer, I don't compare impacts based on assumptions. Had it been proved with below par safety standards, I would not have gone for it.
Besides, I wish none of us ever get to test the build quality of our car in live.
@@aishikkhatua well had a accident with my slavia .. had side front impact and type burst after a car from other side hit it on side while overtaking another car.. and it was for 3 weeks at service center.. my friends verna had windshield broken and bonnet bent and engine bay damaged in accident..when his car hit a bullet coming from another side on curve.. and hyundai service center took 3 months to fix it .. well he had accident more then a year ago and his verna was badly damaged.. my slavia just had side damage after a car full of 6 people hit on side.. he has verna top model previous generation.. he was dissapointed that a bike impact broke car so much.. now he is considering to buy a kaushaq for same reason safety first.. most people learn about safety after they meet with an accident that is the sad part.. and in most accidents it's not your fault..i think it's better to go for safe car first on learning others experiences.. my uncle had accident with his vw vento head on with a i20 and the i20 family got too many fractures and were addmitted to hospital.. while he and his family didn't had any injuries.. also his vento got repaired within a month and i20 went for total loss.. he was so impressed he has bought 3 cars after that all vw's latest one tiguan... well his accident was government fault and the two lane road was closed due to rapairing with no warning.. and suddenly and i20 appeared at curve from other end..

But brother God forbid if someone is driving cautiously and gets hit from behind by a charging vehicle, in that case you don't have any control and seeing the Tin can brands it might hurt the people sitting in the back seat.
The thing is people are driving recklessly more than ever. You can control how you drive not how someone else drives.
So, safety should be a top concern moreso if you travel with your family often.

half of people buy verna because hyndai have 4 times more delears then VAG .. reason they also see lots of cheap cars like i10 that start with 7 lakhs .. and have sold santro and eon.. so lower range car sales are good and delears are more.. VAG doesn't have cheap cars and low sales are result of that as more sales would have given more delears..
My Virtus GT gives approx 18+ mileage on highways and on hills a healthy 13-14 kmpl..City mileage in traffic is 10-11 and not more..

I have received a blended average of 27 plus kms on a drive from Jalandhar to Shumla that total distance travelled is 256 and while i was coming downhill from shimla to jalandhar i received more than 29kmpl.
Light foot, no sudden accelerations driving inbetween 1300 to 1800 rpm
The car was carrying 2 adults one child 2 big suitcases, one stroller and 1 cabin luggage strolley and 3-4 bags.
I drive a Slavia 1.0 TSI Manual and i can tell you that the way the car drove was something you wont expect from a sedan.
I was able to turn the car on a dime that too with normal CEAT tyres, mind you it was rained almost 70% of the time during the trip. The car never felt underpowered infact the torque while going uphill was more than sufficient.
The only downside was that while coming downhill the braking was not very satisfactory.
I can safely say that overall Slavia is a better package when it comes to sheer driving dynamics and off course unmatched safety.

I have both Verna 1.5 turbo DCT and Seltos 1.5 turbo DCT in my family. The DCT Seltos feels more linear in terms of power delivery and gives slightly more fuel efficiency compared to Verna.
It looks like Hyundai have used a more aggressive state of tune in Verna compared to Seltos, which feels bit less.
How is your verna's ground clearance on bad roads and high bumpy speed breakers when all 5 passengers sit inside with lots of luggage??
@@bhargabXedits999 Ride quality of Verna is really good but it has a lot of body roll while tight cornering.
Regarding ground clearance it manages all the speed breaker without touching the floor in ground, but still you have to tackle them very slowly.
If we use cruise control on highways will get mileage upto 25 Km per litre. Engine rev should between 1.5 to 2.0.

Ravi Ji one request Honda City V CVT and Verna CVT/IVT version ko compare karo .On price ,safety,comfort,service and maintenance,reliability, mileage ,comfort of drivers and passenger all. Sunroof not so important and practical for most of us majority city drive and 10%highway driving once in a month type middle class owners.

City ZX is the best car in the 17.5 lakh range, but if you are ready to spend above 20lakhs then eyes closed go for Slavia/Virtus 1.5 tsi that too with a DSG.

@@dkbaghel123 yeah i also feel that Hyundai and kia need to step up their game of build quality as in terms of 'Strong Structure' as their Doors, bonnet and other panels are already good quality and feels strong but only drawback was the internal structure and chassis, If they can improve this they can lead the market as they are doing well in terms of after sales service, network, fit and finish, refined engines and gearbox, features etc.
Driven my Ciaz 2023 on same road (Nanital) with 2 people n Lite luggage, got 15kmpl on hills and 20kmpl on highway

Kuch bhi Karlo, Germans jaisa material quality nahi de sakti. Car is good, but a German after 10 years and Hyundai after 10 years will have a huge difference in interior and exterior quality conditions, and there is not a big difference in maintenance. One can bear if owning 20 lakh car. Considering it's a sedan. No hate for Hyundai, just my vento and Verna long term ownership comparison.

It is believed that Sedans give better mileage than any other kinda Car because of their better aerodynamics. But I never saw sedans giving better mileage than hatchbacks and even SUVs. Like you can compare Nexon with Verna.

Verna 1.5 turbo for raw speed . Drag races are out in evo India channel and icn studio between manual 1.5 turbos . You can check out the margin by which Verna wins.
Slavia has better build , stability and handling and looks but Hyundai has superb city ride,best sound insulation,better ac,better sound quality, better fit and finish,slightly more space and more features at a much cheaper price ,lower maintenance and higher resale.... rest is upto you
