Sadly, it doesn't work the same on the timeline with the Text+. However, you can accomplish the same thing in Fusion. To do this, right-click the node and open it in Fusion. Once you're in Fusion, follow the same instructions in the video and you can accomplish the same thing. And now that I think about it, I can go over this specific technique in a separate video!
It's daunting that you can't have character level styling with text+ on edit page. But you can do it with regular Text, that can't have any animation presets, this is wasted me countless hours always having to go into fusion, let me know if anyone knows how to do it
You would have to go into Fusion to adjust character level styling in Text+, which I believe is part of what you were saying. Pretty lame, I know. I wish the Text+ would do the same thing on the timeline too!
