He's not saying Sanji is a robot because of Franky, he had a theory about it before but it was mostly a joke theory because he didn't know cyborgs actually existed in this world.
I vaguely remember you saying like a hundred episodes ago if we were gonna see a pervy cyborg at some point in the story, and everyone in the comment section going insane over it. Well, he're we are!
The thing with one piece is, since the islands are so far apart, most people don't leave their home island. and as a result, technology is asynchronous. Some islands are fishing villages, some islands have blue haired cyborgs and actual trains
Love how Water 7 just grabs you by the neck immediately and it doesn't let go, it just escalates again and again and again. Oh, we lost the money? Wait, Robin is suddenly gone? Usopp is leaving the crew? What do you mean the mayor got shot? And we are just STARTING.
Aqua Laguna is even more interesting when you consider that it's probably linked to the strange tides around Long Ring Long Land. Still, at least nothing out of the ordinary happened to the ocean around there recently.
A fact that you already probably read in these comments is that starting at episode 236, we have the longest strech of episodes with Luffy not smiling once in the current timeline at about 7-ish episodes iirc.
Franky's Design is actually based on Jim Carrey's character Ace Ventura in the Ace Ventura movies. that's right, Oda likes Jim Carrey so much that he got more than one Homage.
We've had a guy with a metal jaw and an axe hand and a whale with a door and a corridors added in. Becoming a cyborg in the one piece world doesn't seem that hard.
thats the fun thing about technology in one piece. its WILDLY different from island to island, because not many people actually ever travel in their lives here, so all the islands are very insular in what technology they invent or naturally have (like the dials in the sky islands). on one island like water 7, you can have a sea train and some dude who is a literal cyborg, while on other islands maybe people still live like hunter-gatherers essentially. i marvel every day at how smart oda was for setting up this world in a way that lets him do literally anything he wants wolrd-building wise and still making it make sense. and i mean, as you can imagine since there are still almost 1000 episodes left for you to watch or chapters to read, this is far from the full extent of the scope of fun technology you'll se in this series.
When people say Goat Oda or G Oda, it's def those kind of moments but most of the time it's actually when we find more about Long Ring and how deep that arc is even with the goofiness. A lot of people are even more amazed on their 2nd or 3rd rewatch when we find out even when Oda was playing around, he was cooking, so, enjoy, take you time, ask yourself some questions and stay joyfull
If I remember correctly Transponder Snails feed off radiowaves, which is cute both for the way the world's internal logic works and also as a neat excuse to put them wherever the plot needs them positioned
Contemplating the technology level of One Piece, the whole level of island seperation and limited supply chains really helps justify how much variety there is, and it also helps justify the reason most of the ships are wind powered instead of burning fuel, because of the uncertainty of sources to refuel.
Johnny Bravo and Franky are both parodies of, among other things, Elvis. Franky also takes inspiration from Popeye and a BUNCH of robot/cyborg characters throughout fiction (mainly film and anime).
Nerdy this is just the prolog n Chap. 1 of the Water 7 arc. This is the arc that brakes the views n made them release the level of writing is one of the best ever.
Bro when I tell you these 4 episodes are literally just the start!!! You have no idea! There's a reason this is son peoples favorite arch. It's soooo good.
How do you not expect this series to be "deep"? There was a story about, a culture that was too attached to their beliefs that they let their people die because they where to ignorant to accept help from an outsider. Before that it was a pirate taking over a land, exiling the king and causing a civil war.
Franky's line about being super this week, I always assumed it was just a 4th wall joke about the manga/anime release schedule, which is weekly. So of course if Franky's on screen he's SUUUPPPPEERRR~
"There is a good man in there sometimes" I feel like you are letting that simp/perv trope and him often not acting "nice" color your view of Sanji as a person a bit too much. He is a complicated character but still one of the kindest in OP, the guy has already proven more than once how he would sacrifice himself for the people he cares about without a second thought.
He has also proven he will sexually harass any women that has big tits, regardless of age or situation. Especially later on. Sanji is let down by this cultural trope HARD.
'Cyborg' is short for 'cybernetic organism'. 'Cybernetic' refers to actual machinery, not basic tools that are swung around by hand, like an axe or metal knuckles. Morgan and Fullbody are indeed modified, but not cyborgs. 🤓
@@MrWhatdafuBOOM while that is the original meaning of cyborg, the original meaning of robot is slave so I don't think the word definition is the point. If you want to be more specific we can stick to modified human. The reason I think this is important is because we have cyborgs that are not made of metal (Absalom, Vinsmokes, King, Queen), as well as metal itself having biological elements (Wapolmetal, Lasso, Funkfried.)
Sanji is an absolute brat but also one of the kindest people you can find. The only problem is that kindness explodes and gets overclocked whenever a woman is involved.
Naming Kalifa the algorithm goddess is sexual harassment
If she my assistant I'm getting a lawsuit very quickly 😢
@@earthatlantis lawsuits are sexual harassment.
"Well, I guess it is sexual harassment"
“There are robots?!”
“Is Sanji a robot?!

yeah...

I'm telling you, man, those swirly brows ain't natural. And @eskhaphey2873 got it right. Mellorine, Mellorine, Mellorine radar is hecking sus. :D
One of the main inspirations for Franky's character was Ace Ventura
Ace Ventura Meets Popeye (in more ways than one)
He gives Elvis too, with the music and hip gyrations dancing
My fantacasting for Franky is Terry Crew. 🤣 Think about that
Very clearly as well, a Japanese rockabilly
I vaguely remember you saying like a hundred episodes ago if we were gonna see a pervy cyborg at some point in the story, and everyone in the comment section going insane over it.
Well, he're we are!
Reminds me of the time when he asked if Hockey was gonna be a big part of the series and we all just lost our minds😂

At the end where they finally solve all the problems one by one is extremely satisfying too.
Yes, Nerdy. Cyborgs are real and they're SUPERRRRRR!!!!!. It's a cartoon show. One Piece is literally EVERYTHING. It is, The One Piece.
It's the All Blue of cartoons
The idea of a laser beam weapon is unlikely, but never zero.
I see what you did there 😏
The narrative structure of this arc is so fantastic. Just layer after layer of rich, creamy storytelling.
it's my favorite for a reason
I love Franky so much. Fun fact, his voice actor also plays Bon Clay, and once you notice it you can’t unhear it
I believe even to this day, the period after Usopp and Luffy’s fight is the longest Luffy has ever gone without smiling.
I think the moment just before the timeskip topped it, but I dunno for sure.
Aqua Laguna is even more interesting when you consider that it's probably linked to the strange tides around Long Ring Long Land. Still, at least nothing out of the ordinary happened to the ocean around there recently.
It's got relevant again lately

The big thing was Usopp and Luffy's fight, that was the only scene that I thought was bad enough to not watch the opening.

The trees belong to Nami, so it's natural that the crew took them.
I like to believe it was the fall from skypia that cause the damaged to Merry, especially with how the intro shows the impact
" ...and Blueno from the bar. AND BLUENO FROM THE BAAAAA'!"

The fact that they all went and shared a hotel room after that Usopp fight.

Sanji and chopper is such an underrated strawhat pairing.
I also thought of Johny Bravo and Franky is American, his favorite food is hamburguer.
Franky's a mix of Johhny Bravo and Ace Ventura
now you get why we all been saying water 7 is peak, and after this somehow even More peak

I would maybe call One Piece steampunk, like following a different timeline than ours but they still have some high tech inventions here and there?
water 7 is a completely chaos O.o but it is an awesome storywriting chaos * _*
Waiting for the moment he notices he heared Frankies VA before

Johnny Bravo is such a great show, and I miss it.
After Luffy, Sanji is the most kindest man in the whole crew.
now imagine how good the manga is? Very dangerously addictive, but the Anime is very worthy, so I put down the manga for the longest time.
Technically Captain Morgan and Fullbody are also cyborgs. Just only slightly modified humans.
