@@Ghost.Nappa56 Tall skinny guy with an afro seen only from behind with no lines IMO - that way they have the easter egg of technically having Brook onscreen for anime/manga fans, but don't have to commit to an actor for a character that'll take untold years to get to again (if they ever do at the current pace).
I've really been wanting to watch the show just because of Jeff Ward, but the number of seasons is just intimidating. Could you please tell me is it really worth it?
@@ritsu245 I wouldnt reccomend binging it, the episodes are relatively long. The majority of the first season feels more like a "monster of the week"-type of show, like Supernatural. But when the story really kicks in later in season 1 and especially season 2-3 and onwards... its so so good. I would advise mybe a few episodes per week
Totally agree on the sets, costumes, and props feeling "lived in." It's such an underrated part of set and costume design that watchers miss but can subconsciously tell when it's not there. One Piece's design from top to bottom basically nailed it through all departments. I can't wait for season 2 and they do with all the different settings and characters!!!
I think they'll definitely keep Buggy and Koby around this season. They need some form of B plot, since they won't be adapting Alabasta in S2. Also, given how underutilised the sets of Arlong Park and Baratie from S1 were (and also how intensively planned they are, generally speaking), I can see them re-using them in S2 in some shape or form. They could expand on the Buggy cover story here, rearranging it to be after Loguetown, and we see more of his crew. The little subplot with Mohji and Kabaji falling out was fun, and seeing more of Alvida will also be interesting. They're expanding on the Laboon flashback it'd seem, given a certain wig we can see in the background. And, I think I saw a prop that looked like Aokiji's sleeping mask, though that could also be Yasopp's I guess. Also, given by the emphasis on Usopp's goggles and tunafish model prop, THEY'RE ANIMATING THE FILLERS FROM THE ANIME!! This is so exciting because the Loguetown filler was SO GOOD. I'm glad they're keeping all that in
There's some very interesting details in this trailer. From carnival posters for the 22nd anniversary of Gold Roger's death - sorry, 22nd Marine Victory Day - to Crocus' lighthouse being where he makes the medicine for Laboon, to even small details like a family name (not even in the anime it's that recent in the manga, and for people who didn't spot it, they're named at a certain valley) on one of the shops. There's even a poster that advertises Garp's hat as merchandise. We see wigs for Miss Valentine and Miss Monday, Miss All Sunday's coat and hat, and even an afro in the background which I can only assume is a nod to Afro Luffy, yohoho.
Think they need to make 2 seasons at once (so they could make first half of One Piece with this cast of actors = film whole Arabasta saga at once and break it in to two seasons)
One Piece is this generations phenomenon. The original manga is still on-going. The original anime is still on-going. A remake of the anime is in production by none other that Wit Studio. A live action is on-going. Let alone all the movies and specials that release separately. If there's a world you want to get immersed in, now's the time to get into One Piece. What are you waiting for?
Although to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if the manga finishes before Wit studio releases their anime. They're still in the concept art stage right now.
If I were asked to pitch a live action spin off, I'd probably suggest a few seasons featuring Buggy, Alvida and the crew in the Grand Line. This could be where his encounters with Ace are expanded a bit, there could be encounters with one of the Supernovas, There would be the looming quest for Captain John's treasure, and to expand on Captain John, I'd probably make his backstory that he was a genius tactician who gained all that treasure through a brilliant series of raids on tribute ships bound for Marijoa. I'm not going to offer context to the names because spoilers.
SPOILERS: . . . . . . . . . . . . . We already know Captain John's backstory, he was part of the Rocks pirates; and after they disbanded he made his own pirate crew, who killed him because they wanted his treasure and his corpse ended up as a Zombie General on Thriller Bark. Based on his backstory, I think for starters we are likely to get more of it in the manga since the Rocks pirates are pretty relevant. But also I don't really buy your elaboration on his backstory. The Rocks pirates members (bar Whitebeard) seem pretty pragmatic, they're going to avoid picking fights with the World Government unless they have to. And the vibe I'm getting from the Revolutionary Army attacking ships to Mary Geoise is that it hadn't been done before.
I'm hoping if season2 gets big rating, then Netflix green lights back to back seasons and keep the actors going strong. I think OPLA may get as big as GOT if we get to Water 7/Enes Lobby arc.
One Piece Netflix was so great compared to The last Airbender (i have very mixed feelings about that one). I really hope both shows get great second seasons...
Buggy does have an extended absence in the anime/manga, as he is not a part of Skypeia nor Enies Lobby sagas. Don't worry, he will be back and has a HUGE part to play.
That huge syringe was for Laboon
Took me a minute to remember that 😅

Jeff Ward is INCREDIBLY charming, his stint on Agents of Shield went from season 5 onwards, and he was one of the best parts of the whole show.
Agents of Shield is extremly underrated, its way better than every show Disney-Marvel has put out... except Loki

Obviously. :3
You can also see Wapol’s costume as well
While it could be a nod to Afro Luffy, it could also be the wig for Mr 5, since that man also has a fro.
I would say the afro more belongs to a king. Specifically, a king with a lot of soul.
Jeff Ward is a gem. seems like you havent seen agents of shield.......
I'm stoked! More Jeff Ward is always good. Also I can't believe the second season is so close already! Confirmed to release in the third millennium!

They're shooting in South Africa by the way. And they source a lot of their talent from there too.
I want them to go over the top with Chopper and make him look kinda cartoony. Also, FLULA BORG WAS BORN TO PLAY FRANKIE!!!!!!
omg theres so much fun stuff we can see already im HYPED!!!!!!!!!
I can tell you as big as one piece is and how well liked the first season was I'm not surprised she showed her face she will become a hometown hero
The take away from this video is that you need to watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D for some more of Jeff Ward's charm.
Buggy never goes away, he always pops up here and there in small and or big ways, maybe? Jeff will be a mainstay In OPLA.
