I will never get tired of seeing the beautiful countryside. Watching the train cross the Viaduct was so awesome…I love trains 😊. My favorite was the Brig O’Doon it felt like it was in a fairytale. I would love to have a cottage there 🤗.
Great idea for a road trip. Every time I watch one of your videos Steve I feel inspired to get road tripping. There’s so much to see in the UK and it can be really beautiful. Thanks for the content and keep up the good work.
Can't go wrong with a drive around Scotland. Please don't lose sight of the fun and tire yourselves out needlessly for the sake of the video. I enjoy you two exploring, but the small getaways where you just enjoy the sites together are at least as enjoyable as these big challenges.
UA-cam is one of the best parts of online. It gives me the ability to see so much of the world that I could never, won't ever see. Your channel is the best of all.
The Kessock Bridge will always be my favourite. When I used to come up here on holiday, before I moved up permanently, I used to love that view you get of the bridge as you start heading downhill on the A9 towards Inverness. Seeing it meant that we weren't far from our destination and it used to make my heart sing even more than passing the "Welcome to Scotland" sign on the M6 😊
Brilliant video and each bridge was spectacular in it's own way. Got to say that Glenfinnan and the Falkirk Wheel where my favourites plus the sound of that class 37 made it all the more special. Finally, nice to see Alicja out with you again.
I didn't realise the Kessock bridge was on the £100 note or the Falkirk Wheel was on the £50 note, maybe because I've never seen any of the two🤣Well done Alicja for coming up with such a brilliant idea, cracking video showing how stunning our country is👌I actually cycled over the Forth Road Bridge last Monday and funnily enough I passed through Falkirk on my way home, where an old lady in a car rear ended me🤣no damage thankfully....
We went to pay at a café using a Scottish £20 note in Northumberland and they wouldn't believe it was real money. There was a very determined examination of them and they were going to call the police.
Truly amazing stuff Steve always love the bonnie Scotland 🏴 videos bridges Always fascinated me having done a few myself walked the golden gate in San Francisco n Sydney harbour 1 back in the day great to see you both out again enjoyed the video top man
I did a few ambulance runs over Sydney Harbour Bridge back in my youth. One old lady had a photo in her lounge of the bridge half built. I asked where she got the photo. Right there out of my window. She had watched it being built and her young husband had worked on it as a riveter.
This is absolutely fantastic. I LOVE bridges, and these are absolutely gorgeous. My favourite was the Brig O'Doon. That's another Steve Marsh winner for me. Keep up the excellent work.
What lovely scenery driving to these bridges. Th driving music was great! Thank you Alicja for coming with this Vlog. I never get tired f your diving Vkogs @SteveMarsh.
Thanks Steve and Alicja for another great trip, being and Englishman, I love Scotland, I have been many many times all over the place. I will be coming back soon, and it is great to see the wee one on board again Steve. Superb. x
I do love a good bridge, I agree the Kessok may not be the nicest bridge in the world but I have SO many good memories of driving over it into Inverness signalling the end of the seemingly endless drive from Scrabster, always a relief😴
Another fun video with feet-on-the-ground! Thank goodness you didn't get your adrenaline junkie going up anywhere. I remember her climb to the top of that bridge. Thank you once again for all the work that you to do to bring these videos to us. Be well, stay safe, love from Texas.
This is like a breathe of fresh air, seeing these wonderful bridges, and seeing the gorgeous scenery. They were all great in their own way; what is your favourite? Brig O' Doon and Kessock were mine. The work that went into constructing and making them meant so much hard work, but the structures give years of enjoyment for so many. I could watch videos like this all day, and special thanks to Alicja for thinking of, and getting you to make it, Steve. :D
Incredibly entertaining and informative video, presented as only you can and that is what sets your video adventures on a different level..thank you so much. I would call the Falkirk Wheel...an elevating canal section. Cheers, thanks again both of you!

Favourite bridge was bridge of doon, but the forth always a treasure to see, enjoyable challenge Steve and alicja and well done. Alloway looks interesting thanks.
Thanks Steve and Alicja, Another great video. The drive was superb and bought back nice memories of my travels through Scotland in 2019. The Falkirk wheel is my favorite followed by the Forth Rail bridge..😍
Glenfinnan has got super crazy, and the viaduct....it's made of concrete. The Jacobite is a great train journey, and that diesel engine....what a noise :)
Mornin Steve and Alicja I was one who voted for the bank note bridge tour and I’m glad I did . Epic views as usual viaduct always a fav sunset classic follow the money stay safe see you soon 😘
When you venture back to Alloway you'll have to check out the Alloway tunnel. We discovered it by accident in January. There's a path across from the burns centre, down a small slope, that leads you to the tunnel. It's filled with "amusing" graffiti. Apparently, the people behind the Colinton tunnel are going to do the same with it. It's worth a walk and look.
If you look closely at the Glenfinnan viaduct the Mallaig end is slightly higher than the Fort William end so the engine has to work hard on the way out but the return trip is downhill at that point. That was such a cool video. I just got my Scotland Bank Notes, as I am coming to Scotland in about a month, and thought the bridges on the notes were pretty cool, so I was excited to see you visit them all. Thanks for sharing yet another wonderful video of your beautiful Country.
What an awesome vid Steve. So many beautiful views and I had no idea so many bridges appeared on Scotland's bank notes so what a tremendous idea for a vid. BTW, re. our conversation about Tuscany, we drove through lovely Longniddry in East Lothian yesterday on the way back from beautiful Gullane beach (western end of the beach near the rocks is seashell heaven for a beachcomber like Alicja) and as we entered the village there was a sign saying "Twinned with Barga, Italy"! There's the vid right there and others like it - visit a Scottish village and also visit the town or village it is twinned with 👍
Hey Davey sounds like you had a great weekend and cheers for the tips mate! Talking of that, we are keen to do a vid with Montrose's twin city sometime :)
@@steve-marsh yeah had a fab time Steve. We had a ride over to Inchcolm Island during the only sunny window that weekend then went deer spotting at Hopetoun House. We're staying in Seahouses next weekend so are taking a boat trip around the Farne Islands then onto beautiful Holy Island for a couple of hours ashore there 😊
Fascinating Steve, or should I say riveting...😂 Its incredible how busy Scotland is looking at the moment, the Scottish Tourist Board needn't worry. Alloway looks gorgeous, definitely one to go back to
Lovely video. Brought back memories of crossing all the bridges with my late hubby except the Brig a doon which I didn’t know was a bridge but we named our house Brigadoon after the musical of the village which appeared every 100 years. Our next house was called Glenfinnan!! Thanks for the memories. 🥰
Very enjoyable and informative, Steve! You and Alicja make a great team together and really show us viewers the most amazing and scenic places throughout your journey :)
Great video as always Steve. Ive always fancied going down to the village of Kessock. Did you know the Glenfinnan viaduct is made of concrete? (Im sure you knew) Catch u soon!!
@@steve-marsh Apparently one of the first non reinforced concrete bridges in the British Isles, so Alastair told me. He lives just out from under it. Quite the bargain at a touch over £18,000.
What a wonderful Saturday night this has been, got a smart tv today and can hook up my computer via bluetooth and your video has never looked so spectacular, love the bridges and the views where stunning, well it is Scotland so they would be. To answer why was there a diesel tacked on to the rear of the train on the viaduct I believe it is a safety precaution just in case the steam train should break down, I have seen a few heritage rail videos and they all seem to do this. Lovely to see you both in this video and I wish you both good health, till next time stay safe and cheers.
AWESOME video Steve & Alicia...reminded me of great holidays....Kessock bridge when we drove from Inverness to Gills Bay to catch the ferry to Orkney...Then the Forth bridge when I visited north Queensrerry because I just had to see the beauty when on holiday in Edinburgh....than on the same holiday we took a train to Falkirk to see the Kelpies and the Wheel.....I LOVE Scotland...Thank you.
Highly enjoyable- filmed with the right balance of information and humour - never seen one of Steve's videos that doesn't educate and entertain -always constantly high standards in production !
Great video. We're going to see 3 of the bridges in June when we are visiting Scotland. Your videos are a great help planning out trip. Greetings from The Netherlands.
I am so grateful that you make these videos so I can see bonnie Scotland anytime I want to! Very creative idea! I love it! Ideas like these make your channel stand out, as well as the way you take us with you as an equal friend along for the wonderful journey.
A very enjoyable video, and I imagine it was fun travelling around making it. Being based in London, I wasn't aware there was such a thing as a £100 note. BTW, it may not be the most interesting bridge, but the Clackmannanshire Bridge does have a wonderful name.
Fabulous scenery. In my youth, the family took many holidays in Scotland. I can remember travelling by rail sleeper with the car using Motorail from London to Perth and Stirling.
Well done Steve & Alicja, your drive brought back good memories of our driving tours of Scotland. I’m looking forward to our rail tour this July which will start in Edinburgh along the West Highland Line and up to Inverness back to Edinburgh via Perth! 😊
Kessock Bridge is the only guaranteed to survive an earthquake 😳 😮. Designed to shake shake shake ! My favourite view is on the A96 looking West, winters time with snow behind on Ben Wyvis , etc 😀 ❤
Loved it Steve and Alicja. Only you could make a video about bridges interesting. But some nice historical sites and lovely views too. Hope you are both well

Brilliant AGAIN Steve. Absolutely loving your video's - Brings back many fond memories of Scotland - Glenfinnan, Ballachiulish, Glencoe, - and Ayr. AND the Falkirk Wheel. ( you missed the kelpies lol) . Brings back fond memories of my late mother in law , who we toured all the places you visited with in this video. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Steve and Alicja, we really enjoyed your latest video on the bridges, brought back lots of memories. Picture quality is excellent and the music is also brilliant, we really look forward to Saturdays now. Yours videos are even better when viewed again
Another brilliant video, I just love your trips around Scotland, I love Scotland and you make it all so interesting. There are so many bridges, some big and some small, but all with history attached to them. Thankyou for sharing and I can’t wait to see your next video .
Great vid Steve, interesting and entertaining. Many fond memories of Ayr and Alloway, where as a youngster had some exciting times. Oh and don’t forget to visit the electric brae when you go back to Ayr. Some folks might find that fun.
Thanks for another superb video from you Steve. North and South Queensferry, two of my favourite places. SQ is always busy. I go to the Bikers Cove Café, great burgers. The Hawse Inn is fab too. Been on a couple of the boat trips too, worth going on. Love going through Glen Coe on my motorcycle on an early morning ride out. Keep them coming sir. Cheers, Sky.
Scottish bridges also featured on UK postage stamps. There is the Forth Road Bridge from a 1964 issue, Aberfeldy Bridge in 1968 and Craigellachie Bridge in Moray, in 2015. Far less expensive than the banknotes collection. :)
Thanks for another excellent video. Alloway was beautiful, but South Queensferry will always be my favorite place! Like you, Steve, I've lived there and enjoyed the best years of my life while teaching in the local primary school. Seems so long ago - and I guess it was!
When my wife and I visited Scotland in 2019 we took a tour of the Firth of Forth by boat that left from South Queensferry very close to where you were, and we visited the Falkirk Wheel, so your video brought back some great memories. We saw the Kelpies in Falkirk too, very impressive!

( you missed the kelpies lol) . Brings back fond memories of my late mother in law , who we toured all the places you visited with in this video. Thank you so much for sharing.
Oh I have an idea for the Kelpies for the future ;)
Two amazing trains one coal and the other diesel
Great video Steve, it was worth waiting for. Loved the train over the viaduct. Well done and thanks to Alicja for the idea. You make a great team.
Thanks so much Patricia!
Beautiful scenery again Steve - loved it. And the Forth Bridge never fails to impress does it. Cheers for another fascinating video 😊
Thanks a lot Mark! :)
Highlight of my week, another beautiful video from Steve!! Thanks as always my favourite UA-camrs ❤
Thanks Richard :)
Hi Steve and Alicja, we really enjoyed your latest video on the bridges, brought back lots of memories. Picture quality is excellent and the music is also brilliant, we really look forward to Saturdays now. Yours videos are even better when viewed again
Really appreciate it John!
Now! Thats what i call. "Thinking outside the box"
Fantastic little journey.
Well done Jodie! I remember even my leg shaking let alone my hand in my first competition. Nerves are definitely a thing 🎯
Enjoyed the bridges. As always, my favorites are the dash cam videos of Scottish scenery.
Great stuff like usual Steve and Alicja, you live in the most beautiful country on earth ! Can’t wait to get back !
Another brilliant video, I just love your trips around Scotland, I love Scotland and you make it all so interesting. There are so many bridges, some big and some small, but all with history attached to them.
Thankyou for sharing and I can’t wait to see your next video .
Thanks Marilyn! Yes, there were a lot of choices to be made of which ones to go on the banknotes for sure!
Great vid Steve, interesting and entertaining. Many fond memories of Ayr and Alloway, where as a youngster had some exciting times. Oh and don’t forget to visit the electric brae when you go back to Ayr. Some folks might find that fun.
Ahhh I forgot about it!!!
Another great video, I love that you show the beauty of our country to people who don't live here. Good lad.😊
Cheers Tony :)
Dirty diesel does the job while steam engine is just chuffing in front and gets all the spot light. Life is not fair.
Ha ha I thought the same 😂 the diesel engine must be fuming 😂
I've always liked the bridge over the Atlantic at seal island and also the connel bridge on the road between loch awe and Oban
Cheers Sky!
Scottish bridges also featured on UK postage stamps. There is the Forth Road Bridge from a 1964 issue, Aberfeldy Bridge in 1968 and Craigellachie Bridge in Moray, in 2015. Far less expensive than the banknotes collection. :)
I sense another tour! :)
@@steve-marsh The Scottish philatelist ! :)
Great video again love the music to your tour some amazing bridges and great to see the steam train with no steam lol and the Falkirk wheel 😂
Because of your videos, we are able to travel through Scotland regularly 😊
So glad you come along on the adventures, thank you!
Thanks for another excellent video. Alloway was beautiful, but South Queensferry will always be my favorite place! Like you, Steve, I've lived there and enjoyed the best years of my life while teaching in the local primary school. Seems so long ago - and I guess it was!
Another great one Steve, and perfect sounds to go with it.
When my wife and I visited Scotland in 2019 we took a tour of the Firth of Forth by boat that left from South Queensferry very close to where you were, and we visited the Falkirk Wheel, so your video brought back some great memories. We saw the Kelpies in Falkirk too, very impressive!
What an absolute brilliant video real good enjoyable vibe from it great work as always well done 👌👌👌
Cheers Michael! :)
I had never heard of the Falkirk Wheel until your video of That Walk; certainly on my bucket list now. Another brilliant video guys!
Thanks so much Marie!
