I'm (20 years old) sitting at a table in college listening to this as I study. This song came up by chance and I started getting tears in my eyes. I played this song (violin) when was about in 7th or 8th grade. I still remember every part... the power of music and the brain, I guess :)
isaiah jordan thank you for the tips! I’ve been told I usually over practice a lot and I realized it’s been causing me a lot of stress. Our concert just ended and it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you again.
Yasss! Late lol, but yas. I feel like I would pass out at the end of the song if I were in band, since they use their mouths, and no offense if your reading this and you’re in band, but it’s kind of gross getting saliva in it all the time😅 #orchestrarocks!
In 7th grade, leading the 2nd violins. It's nice to hear this song when it actually SOUNDS GOOD. And when you can hear the violas, there's only three of them in our orchestra.
The viola is a fine instrument. Many people chose viola over violin. I don’t know if you’ve heard of them: Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, the list goes on. Before you insult someone just for choosing a lower pitched instrument, think of the history behind it.
Wow uh, I dunno how long you played pal, but you should also know, from elementary school, theres a difference between opinion and fact. Also, “know” is a fact word, that is why I am bringing this up. I also played it sir, and I believe the cello part is good. Keep in mind in that sentence I didn’t use fact words. That shows I’m not biased like you.
my orchestra teacher used to do that and talk abhout the whole story of the songs and id be like "bro i just wanna start playing this whole explanation will take up the whole class time and i will have to wait another week to play this song"
One of the best moments of my life was a small group of my orchestra playing this song for practice, and the further we got in, the more people joined, and at the end the whole orchestra was playing it, too bad we had a sub that day, because we played it almost perfectly too Damn
My orchestra last year played this. I’m a viola and OH MY GOSH! It was so fun but soooo hard. Especially since the violas got a LOT of melody compared to other songs we did
Oh I love this song. It's so beautiful and strong. I'm doing a ballet solo piece in my studios annual recital to this song in May. It's a tribute to the roman slaves and Spartacus. I'm really excited, anyone who happens to be there when I perform, I really hope you like it❤️
i played this last year in seventh grade. the entire class loved it! today i forgot how it went so i came back here...btw the viola part in here rocks. it was so much fun
played this for festival last year in seventh grade. Loved it. the cellos and viola part is just amazing! I play violin but I got the second part for it. I really wanted first but I didn't complain. Where ever any section I'm in I make sure I'm at my best.
Just a little anecdote from when my orchestra practiced this: (Cellos and basses start playing) Orchestra teacher: No no no, you're going to war here! Don't be so pretty. Try again. 1 2 3.. (Cellos and basses start again, then violas come in) Orchestra teacher: See, the violas get it! Now try and match them.
I'm playing this song at a concert..... i'm 2 violin so i have to practice. I'm so glad were playing this... it is soooo amazing😁😁😁 Love it... wish me luck.. oh and good luck to those who are playing this as well.😊😊💖💖❤❤
Ok so my orchestra teacher gets us to play right by telling us to imagine centurian soldiers marching and it sounds absolutely beautiful that way. 'Cept what's with the piano?
When I was in beginning orchestra we were going to play this but the church we were going to play in echoed to much...yeah, I guess it's still fun to play although we never got to perform it. I personally liked it whilst everyone else was glad to have it gone.(Although I do play cello, and my opinion bass clef gets the exciting parts in this particular song, I'm still disappointed)
Yeah, I love their part too. My friend had that part and I loved hearing her practice. I just liked the deep notes bass clef got, usually in the songs our conductor chooses we only us d and a string so it was pretty fun :3
i play the viola and just played this song and by far the viola has the hardest and funest part. and in this orchestra the second violins are way to loud
Can't say I have that problem, as my orchestra is only 13 people, none of whom are second violins. The violas are actually the largest section, with four people.
I ❤️ this song sooo much!! I play this in my orchestra class. I really like it cuz the Violas get the melody a few times!!( which doesn't happen often) VIOLA LOVE❤️❤️❤️❤️😂😜😍
First violin here played this in 8th grade, now in concert/symphonic orchestra in my sophomore year of highschool learning my new favorite piece canarios
this brings back so many memories;;; I haven't played violin since freshman year, I'm about to graduate but this is still my favorite piece the First violin was so hard tho I really need to relearn violin i miss it
2nd violin 4 life! When my class played this (not for contest or a concert.) We butchered it from no practice and now we call all just laugh at how bad we did!

Same with me, but I'm 21. I loved this song when I played it.
buzzedbean me too
isaiah jordan woah, you got into all state?! I like orchestra but I’m in 7th grade and I’m not the best. Do you have any pointers?
isaiah jordan thank you for the tips! I’ve been told I usually over practice a lot and I realized it’s been causing me a lot of stress. Our concert just ended and it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you again.
And... you disappeared. Anyway thanks 😊
All of these people bragging about how their instrument is the best... But most of us can agree that we’re ALL better than band.
Yasss! Late lol, but yas. I feel like I would pass out at the end of the song if I were in band, since they use their mouths, and no offense if your reading this and you’re in band, but it’s kind of gross getting saliva in it all the time😅 #orchestrarocks!
absolutely!
Of course 😌
Yep definitely, I'm in orchestra and my brother's in band, we fight about that all the time
I agree but double bass is just the bestt
the viola's melody steals the show completely
.......?
Roarke Rule
Thats because violas are the best instrument for this song
Azrhen Blue 2nd violin is fun except for measure 60 I think
But the Double bass parts and cellos are lit af
icywolfpaws36 VIOLAS ARE PEOPLE TOO 😂
In 7th grade, leading the 2nd violins. It's nice to hear this song when it actually SOUNDS GOOD. And when you can hear the violas, there's only three of them in our orchestra.
seriously?! in my middle school orchestra violas the biggest
One year we only had one viola...
@@tdogdrift3468 lmao same. I was the viola tho
lol yes, such is the life of the viola
viola part on this song is the best! i should know. i played it.
U clearly have not played the bass
Listen here buddy

everytime we'd play this song, our teacher would just talk and talk about the whole story behind the song. literally takes 20 minutes.
Lunar Vertectio lol same my teacher does that like r u in my class or something
Lol most likely not 😂😂
BAHA MY TEACHER USED TO DO THAT TO GET US TO PLAY MORE AGGRESSIVE
my orchestra teacher used to do that and talk abhout the whole story of the songs and id be like "bro i just wanna start playing this whole explanation will take up the whole class time and i will have to wait another week to play this song"

Lacey yeah if you could only have one instrument play its cello decently
YAS cello squad!!👍💯
Naw fam it's Double bass
Totally I am a cellist
@icywolfpaws36It's only because they give the violins the good parts

When your teacher moves you to second violin when you play this song....😓
I Know Right!! I was playing violin 1, then she moved me to second its so complicated :(
I got moved from 1st to second after a concert....i hate being the harmony...
hey i was second. it was great!
I was never violin 1 but I will always be violin 2
:(
Just practice it
Playing cello for this song gives you so much power
First Bass! My favorite song like Storm The Gates and Afterburn but this is the best
Lol I’ve been playin. Cello for 13 years and I thought I would come to back to one of my favorite songs
Just a little anecdote from when my orchestra practiced this:
(Cellos and basses start playing)
Orchestra teacher: No no no, you're going to war here! Don't be so pretty. Try again. 1 2 3..
(Cellos and basses start again, then violas come in)

I'm a top-in-my-state violinist of almost six years, and I am playing this in my normal school orchestra.(8th grade) I love the viola melody though.
Yuri Park same but a top cellist of almost 7 seven years experience. Indeed the viola’s melody sound so riche.
Ok so my orchestra teacher gets us to play right by telling us to imagine centurian soldiers marching and it sounds absolutely beautiful that way. 'Cept what's with the piano?
This makes me want to cry a little because its sad and sweet at the same time. T^T
THIS SONG IS THE BOMB

i play the viola and just played this song and by far the viola has the hardest and funest part. and in this orchestra the second violins are way to loud

Maybe it was because there weren't many second violins and they had to play out. I mean the 2nd violin section at my school is pretty small.
Can't say I have that problem, as my orchestra is only 13 people, none of whom are second violins. The violas are actually the largest section, with four people.
Yamato Hey, that's rude
There really isn’t a hard part in this song 😂 pretty easy tbh
The second violins really caught onto the melody when it was their part.
I ❤️ this song sooo much!! I play this in my orchestra class. I really like it cuz the Violas get the melody a few times!!( which doesn't happen often) VIOLA LOVE❤️❤️❤️❤️😂😜😍

this brings back so many memories;;; I haven't played violin since freshman year, I'm about to graduate but this is still my favorite piece the First violin was so hard tho I really need to relearn violin i miss it
I sorta think viola should be a bit more loud in the beginning since they do also have an important part. All I could hear was cello and 1st.
I'm learning this right now and the bass part is awesome!
anyone in highschool or college come back to listen to this to remember this song
Hello beautiful, hope you’re doing good??
