  • Well after hours of roaming the Adelaide Hills, we managed to find a handful of Porcini, which we were absolutely stoked about.
Also this year, for the first time, we found the super rare Beef Steak Mushroom, grown on dead a tree. We were absolutely over the moon.
Sadly, we feel the Porcini season is coming to an end. Hopefully we can find a few more to continue to make more content for our viewers.
As always, thank so much for your support. Hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks mate. Yeah the kids really enjoy the outdoors and we often treat them by taking them to the playground after the forage.

Well done finding all those porcinis 😃👍 I've been taking the family for hikes around Stirling and Algate with no luck. Plenty of saffron milk caps, but the porcinis have been elusive. Trying to find areas that aren't private property is a challenge in itself. Still looking forward to my first porcini find 😃

It was really hard work, but was all worth it. I'm sure you will find the porcini one day. It took us 2 years find our first one.

Much respect for showing your kids about wild edibles. I teach foraging classes here in Ontario canada, and I have an 8 year old son who I have been teaching for a couple years now. He probably knows about 25 edible plants and 20 or 25 wild edible mushrooms now. I have the feeling that with the way the world is going, it is the skill that our children will need to know to prosper in the future. Great videos and keep up the Great work!

Thanks for your comment Joe. That is fantastic that there are classes in Ontario that teaches foraging. I wish we have those classes in Australia. Both of our daughters know a handful of edible mushrooms and some toxic ones. They enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air which is better than watching TV all day.
