As a fan of WRC from 1996 to 2001, I remember that from 1999 developing a whole new car in reasonable time (like 1 season or less) became impossible. You always had to deal with cars that were not ideal and couldn't be significantly modified to fix issues in the original project unless the car brand made a new car with a new homologation, lots and lots of electronics, drivers that had to have experience and money, etc, and everything was useless if you set your E-diffs incorrectly or you crash, or you go first on the road with gravel rallies. All of this made the races really boring to see in my eyes, and that's why I pulled the plug with WRC in mid 2001.
You should make a video of their efforts for the 2004 and 2005 season of the Lancer WRC’s. I think it was a step in the right direction although they have their issues until they decided to withdraw at the end of 2005.
@@a.starke682 I am currently reworking the entire script, so that I'll cover everything in one video instead of splitting them into seperate videos. It will take some time however.
Such a shame that this was the end of Alisters career. He was real solid.

Mitsubishi literally went from heaven to hell in the span of 1 season. That hurts...
