Maybe this is one of my favorite songs from FF7 and I just never noticed it before. O_o It blends so well with the opening scene and mission that I don't think my mind every interpreted it as a separate thingy, lol.
Oh! Yes, that part at 2:24, I definitely was having trouble keeping under the 5-note limit. There were some parts that I had to leave out to keep the percussion and parts of the harmony in there. I guess you were able to notice it. =P It's a good thing! That means you enjoy the song to the point that you know it very well.
Wow... playing with the volume is what really makes this shine. Crescendoing and decrescendoing the ships to perfectly emulate the train sound effect works extremely well, as does the ships-only part where the hearts at the end are perfect (as the higher octave earlier and at the very end sounds... off/sharp... for some strange reason, but not enough to make this any less than a six out of five).
You can adjust the height of the green bars below the notes, and that's the volume adjustment. To reach higher tempos, you need to go to the Mario Paint Composer folder, open the folder "Prefs", find the song you want to change the tempo for, and then open it in notepad or something and change the numbers at the very end of the file to the tempo you want.
Yeah! I saw it XD There are a lot of nuances that are different from my version. It was a lot of fun to see the things that he did differently--I hope when he sees mine, he feels the same way =]
very incredable and also this game (even though this is a PC remake) has a NES version that culd play this song O_o crazy the NES having almost as good music as the PS1 XD
Woah, I didn't know that at all. Lol. I just thought the green bars meant nothing. I never tried messing with them. xD This song is definitely epic win like Mikey said. No doubt added to my favorites.
Hm... some parts seem to stall a little around 1:25ish and other spots sorta like that. Or is that just me? Or is it in the original version, too? This is still awesome. Probably my favorite one you've done. (b'.')b But it's not my favorite song out of them, so I don't know why I like it more than the others.
Yeah--I had a lot of trouble keeping everything with the 5-note per line limit around the 2:23 section that you mentioned. =P You guys have a good ear!
Oh--! Which parts do you mean? I know one of the places have incorrect notes for certain (starting around 1:55, the heart bass line), since the program doesn't go lower than a B, but I didn't like the sound of having the hearts go up an octave to hit the right notes. If that's what you were talking about, then you caught me.... =P If it's somewhere else, though, please let me know!
*sigh* looks like a good combination. Then again, Square Soft began with Nintendo and seeing as Final Fantasy 7 was the first one that was one of the first that wasn't Nintendo... this actually makes me think it would have been a great Nintendo 8-bit game. ^-^
Also, I've just thought, could you please do the Shinra theme? You know the one, that goes 'Dooooo doooooo, dooooooo doooooooooo, doo doo doo dooooo (Da, da, da) Dooooooo dooooooo, doooo doooo, doo dooo doooo doooo (Daa, daaaaaa, daaa) That one, from when you're running through the reactor? I'd try myself, but it would probably sound awful.

i like how you added the train noises :p that just made it complete
This is one of the most impressive MPC compositions I've seen. Epic Win here!
Oh my god...you managed to keep the ambience so beautifully! Awesome work!
This deserves far more than 17K views...at least 100K. Awesome job
holy crap, this was amazing, i actually got goose bumps from it. again wow, great job!
bahaha you make it seem like they made the music for FFVII on mario paint, and you just rediscovered the notes they used =D
good job, mate.
Excellent use of the volume control. I can actually see this scene in my head. Job well done!

Wow, you got every detail just right in this. Just so full of awesomeness.
Got a wierd tingling all over when this started up, nice work :).

There are a lot of nuances that are different from my version.
It was a lot of fun to see the things that he did differently--I hope when he sees mine, he feels the same way =]
holy shit...., he even got the fade of the drums .... this is ridiculously good.
"i don't care what any of your names are. after this mission i'm out."
Great Job, I especially liked how you were able to recreat the percussion on this song. I have a hard time doing that in MPC
very incredable
and also this game (even though this is a PC remake) has a NES version that culd play this song O_o
crazy the NES having almost as good music as the PS1 XD
This is pure awesomeness! :D

I'm pretty darned impressed!, it almost sounded like the actual game music!.
I thought your one winged angel was impressive enough... but I liked this one much better!! XD
This sounds so much like the actual game's soundtrack!!
Damn... very impressive. This brings back memories.
Woah, I didn't know that at all. Lol. I just thought the green bars meant nothing. I never tried messing with them. xD This song is definitely epic win like Mikey said. No doubt added to my favorites.
LOL! WOW! This is soooooo cool... great job ^_^
This is Amazingly close to the original version of the song. WOW!
=P That's mainly because I don't do requests like he does, and I just do the songs that I enjoy.
You. Am. TEH MUZAK KINGZ! I just love this song so much, and this makes me feel like I'm playing a NES version of the game.
Hm... some parts seem to stall a little around 1:25ish and other spots sorta like that. Or is that just me? Or is it in the original version, too?
This is still awesome. Probably my favorite one you've done. (b'.')b But it's not my favorite song out of them, so I don't know why I like it more than the others.
Damn, this is really good.
Oh! HCBailly's done a version for that song, which you can find by searching for "You Can Hear the Planet Cry, Mario Paint".
oh, i see what u did there. -_- (in the beginning)
good job though. sounded pretty good.
One word for you my friend. SUPERDOOPERFRICKENAWESOMETASTICNESS!

*This Plays*
It sounds very close to the original by Nobuo Uematsu. I am very impressed. 5/5! ^^
GORGEOUS!!!!!
I thought it sounded a little off, but when I read about how you could only put 5 notes in one erm...column thingy, I completely understood
FINALLY! a use for the mushroom above A!
ffvii music was all midi and mario paint is essentially a midi generator, So it's a great mix.
4 people have never tried to use Mario Paint to do anything complex like this.
This gave me goosebumps just like the real intro does so that must mean it's good, 5*
wow nice job!!
*sigh* looks like a good combination. Then again, Square Soft began with Nintendo and seeing as Final Fantasy 7 was the first one that was one of the first that wasn't Nintendo... this actually makes me think it would have been a great Nintendo 8-bit game. ^-^
Two thumbs up!! I wish I had your free time, though. lol

Also, 2:09 to 2:16, incredibly cool ship solo.
RESPECT
Well done.
no, a goddess
alot of those instruments are the exact same sounds - the fireflowers/boats replicate the song well!
